Norman Groves
HENDERSON — Norman Groves, 75, died Saturday, May 27, 2000, at St. Mary’s Health Care Services/Welborn Campus of cancer.
He retired as a carpenter, was a World War II Coast Guard veteran and was a member of the Corydon Christian Church.
Surviving are his wife, Ruby Opal; two daughters, Vickie King of Henderson and Debbie Mayes of Evansville; two sons, Morris “Butch” of Niagara and Norman “Bud” Jr. of Evansville; two sisters, Mabelline Heiger and Margaret Hoyt, both of Evansville; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home, with burial in Corydon cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Floria Franks
HENDERSON — Floria Dee Franks, 86, died Saturday, May 27, 2000, at Methodist Hospital.
She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Temple.
Surviving is a sister, Zoria Lee Higgins of Henderson.
Her husband, Raymond, died in 1994.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home, with graveside services at 3 p.m. in Ridge Top cemetery in Crofton.

Georgia Jones
TOLU — Georgia Marie Jones, 64, died Saturday, May 27, 2000, at Crittenden County Hospital of heart failure.
Surviving are her husband, Jodie; nine sons, Joseph, Jeffery and Juston, all of Marion, Jesse and Jackie, both of Salem, Ind., James C. of Princeton, Ky., John of Providence, Jerreld of Tolu and Jason of Kansas, Ala.; a sister, Thelma Moore of Evansville; 18 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Gilbert Funeral Home, with burial in Baker Church cemetery.

James Campbell
HENDERSON, Ky. — James Thomas Campbell, 55, died Monday at his sister’s home of heart failure.
He retired from World Color Inc. as a machine operator.
He was a member of the Fifth Street Baptist Church in Louisville and the Masonic Lodge.
Surviving are five stepdaughters, Beniola “Bean” and Kathy Bacon, Mary Eskridge, Willie Gerton and Emily Washington, all of Louisville; three stepsons, John and Duncan Eskridge, both of Louisville, and Christopher Eskridge of Chicago; his mother, Mildred P. Odom of Woodburn, Ky.; two sisters, Frances O. Baker of Henderson and Carole P. Whitlock of Evansville; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. EST Friday at Greenhill Baptist Church in Frankfort, with burial in Greenhill cemetery .
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to service time at the church in Frankfort and from 6 to 8 p.m. CST Thursday at New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Henderson.

Wanda Frederick
HENDERSON, Ky. — Wanda Sue Frederick, 55, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2000, at Methodist Hospital of an aneurysm.
She was a member of the Living Faith Tabernacle.
Surviving are four daughters, Irene Owens of Tilden and Brenda Buchanan, Tammy Helms and Evelyn Householder, all of Henderson; a son, Johnny Frederick of Corydon; a sister, Janie Meeks of Englewood, Colo.; five brothers, Carlon Sparks of Robards, Randy Sparks of Corydon and James, Dwayne and Lonnie Sparks, all of Henderson; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Thomas Edward, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Living Faith Tabernacle, with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home.

Margaret Brackett
MORGANFIELD, Ky. — Margaret Abell “Mama B” Brackett, 94, died Tuesday, Feb. 29, 2000, at the home of her granddaughter, Kathy Creasey of Sturgis.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Bill, Richard and Mark Lichtefeld, Mary Margaret Logsdon, Jon and Melissa Greenwell and Krissie Piper; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
A daughter, Mary Anne Greenwell, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Ann Catholic Church, with burial in St. Ann cemetery.

Annie Ramage
PRINCETON — Annie Ernestine Ramage, 90, died Saturday, June 24, 2000, at Princeton Health Care Manor.
She attended Eddyville First Baptist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Jean Dycus of Eddyville, Virginia Darst of Princeton and Barbara Ann Moore of Grove City, Ohio; four sons, Raymond and Jimmy, both of Caldwell County, Robert of Fulton, Md., and Danny of Nashville, Tenn.; 21 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, F.P., in 1959, and by two daughters, Chris Lupin and Janice Knight.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Morgan’s Funeral Home, with burial in Macedonia Church cemetery in Lyon County.

Mabel Bell
LIVERMORE — Mabel Bell, 89, died Saturday, June 24, 2000, at her home.
She retired from the former Green River Chair Factory in Livermore.
She was a member of Livermore General Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Janice Troutman of Calhoun; two brothers, Harley Heath ofHenderson and J.W. Heath of Livermore; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman, in 1981, and by a son, Gary, in 1965.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Muster Funeral Home Livermore Chapel, with burial in Oak Hill cemetery.

Larry Cox Sr.
DIXON — Larry E. Cox Sr., 49, formerly of Evansville, died Wednesday, June 21, 2000, at his home of heart failure.
He worked for Murphy and Associates in Evansville.
He attended First Baptist Church in Henderson and was a Vietnam War Army veteran.
Surviving are two sons, Larry E. Jr. of Evansville and Jim of Sebree; his parents, Horace and Judith Cox of Cadiz; two sisters, Patricia Malone of Hatfield, Ind., and Debbie Wilkerson of Evansville; four brothers, Mark Cox of Cairo, Don Cox of Burton, Ohio, Jim Cox of Evansville and Tom Gobin of Robards; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home in Henderson, with burial in Fairmont cemetery, with military rites.

William Cothran
EARLINGTON — William Howard “Paul” Cothran, 84, died Wednesday, April 5, 2000, at Madisonville Regional Medical Center.
He retired in 1979 as an engineer with the L&N; Railroad, after 38 years.
He was a World War II Army veteran.
He was a member of the General Baptist Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Nora (Cook); a daughter, Barbara Gayle Cothran Farris of Madisonville; a son, Paul Wesley of Earlington; a grandson and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Reid-Walters Funeral Home, with burial in Oakwood cemetery.

Dora Boyd
PRINCETON — Dora Boyd, 97, died Wednesday, April 5, 2000, at Caldwell County Hospital.
She had been a child caregiver and member of the Second Baptist Church.
Surviving are a sister, Georgie Ladd of Princeton; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Morgan’s Funeral Home, with burial in Cedar Hill cemetery.
