Earl Graham

MADISONVILLE - Earl Douglas Graham, 57, died Friday, June 29, 2001, at his home of cancer.

He was a construction worker and coal miner for Pyro and Peabody coal companies.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the National Rifle Association.

Surviving are his wife, Tammy; two daughters, Robin Martin and Anette Roethemeyer, both of Paducah; a son, William Graham of Madisonville; two sisters, Shirley Kontol of Lowell, Ind., and Lillie Lear of Hammond, Ind.; a half sister, Linda Scott of Madisonville; and four grandsons, Charles and Cody Martin and Zachary and Samuel Roethemeyer.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Harris Funeral Home, with burial in Bethlehem cemetery near Madisonville.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Jimmy Dukes

MADISONVILLE - Jimmy Ray Dukes, 51, died Saturday, June 30, 2001, at his home of cancer.

He was an oil driller for Weal Drilling Co.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Baptist faith.

Surviving are his wife, Phyllis Dukes; two daughters, Jeannia Cotton of Madisonville and Sabrina Pollard of Ilsley; four sons, Thomas Follin of Nebo, Charles Follin of Earlington, Jeffrey Dukes of Earlington and James Anthony 'Boo' Dukes of Nortonville; his father, Ben H. Dukes; two sisters, Kathy Cottoner and Deborah Cissna, both of Earlington; three brothers, Larry and Tony Dukes, both of Earlington, and Johnny Dukes of Graham; 13 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, the Rev. Doug Bullock officiating, with burial in Oakwood cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Charles Bray

PRINCETON - Charles Bray, 80, died Friday, June 29, 2001, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Cadiz.

He retired from Millright Tool and Die.

He was a World War II Army veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Mary; a daughter, Donna Baker of Caldwell County; two sons, Jerry and John Bray, both of Caldwell County; a sister, Mary Haas of Torrence, Calif.; three brothers, Joe Bray of Bullhead City, Ariz., Gus Bray of Banning, Calif., and George Bray of Yreka, Calif; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday in Millwood cemetery in Caldwell County.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon at Morgan's Funeral Home.

Nola Rickard

OWENSBORO - Nola Helen Rickard, 89, died Friday, June 29, 2001, at Hillcrest Health Care.

She was a member of O.E.S. Acacia Chapter 46 White Shrine of Jerusalem and Wesleyan Heights United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a sister, Adda Kite of Owensboro; a niece, Kathy Jording, of Savannah, Ga.; two nephews, David Kite of Owensboro and Dan Kite of Mount Vernon, Ind.; two great-nephews; and three great-nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Rickard, in 1990.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. in Oaktown cemetery in Oaktown, Ind.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Harvey Jennings

DAWSON SPRINGS - Harvey Jennings, 73, died Friday, June 29, 2001, at his home after a long illness.

He was a service and parts manager and salesman for Jennings Chevrolet dealership before working as a salesman for Morris Auto Sales.

He was a Kentucky Colonel and of the Christian faith.

Surviving are his wife, Norma Jean; two daughters, Lisa Ford and Becky Laffoon, both of Madisonville; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Beshear Funeral Home, the Rev. Thomas Kirkwood officiating, with burial in Walnut Grove cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

James Barron

HENDERSON - James John Barron, 89, died Saturday, June 30, 2001, at Henderson's Methodist Hospital.

He was a member of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are his wife of 36 years, Rose Barron; two sons, Jimmy and Michael Barron, both of Henderson; two stepgrandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are pending at Tapp Funeral Home.

Robert Adcock

TRIGG COUNTY - Robert Junior 'Bob' Adcock, 63, died Friday, June 29, 2001, at his home of cancer.

He was a construction worker for General Steel Contractors in Hopkinsville, Ky.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Eagles and Moose lodges and the American Legion.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia 'Patty' Anne Adcock; a daughter, Trena Rose Werley of Dawson Springs; three sons, Rocky Joe Adcock of Paducah, Doyel Lee Adcock of Madisonville and Nathan Ira Adcock of California; two sisters, Gertie English of Henderson and Juanita Gerich of Texas; two brothers, John Willis 'J.W.' and Arnold Wayne Adcock, both of Dawson Springs; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Beshear Funeral Home, the Rev. Eugene McKnight officiating, with burial in Rosedale cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Fairly Miller

NORTONVILLE - Fairly E. Miller, 90, died Saturday, June 30, 2001, at Senior Citizens Nursing Home in Madisonville.

She was a member of New Salem Missionary Baptist Church.

Surviving are two brothers, Morris J. Ashmore of Sebree and Jerry Almon of Madisonville; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Amplias Almon, in 1981, and her second husband, Alfred Ross Miller, in 1994.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home, the Rev. Gary Pate officiating, with burial in Green Hill Memorial Gardens in Hopkinsville.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Hospital or her church.

Kathleen Bowen

CENTRAL CITY - Kathleen Bowen, 74, died Saturday, June 30, 2001, at her home of cancer.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Surviving are five sisters, Uneeda L. Jenkins and Barbara Casebier, both of Central City, Sue Noffsinger of Greenville, Alma Faye Warren of Boonville, Ind., and Velma Ray Donovan of Bremen; a brother, Conrad Bowen of Powderly; and nine nieces and ten nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Tucker Funeral Home, with burial in Rose Hill cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Green River Hospice.

Ed Hancock

HOPKINSVILLE - Ed Hancock, 85, formerly of Hopkinsville, died Saturday, June 30, 2001, at Hilltop Nursing Home in Kuttawa.

He was a retired farmer.

He was a charter member of First Baptist Church of Oak Grove in Fort Campbell.

Surviving are his wife, Monte Sauteben Hancock; two sons, Bill Hancock of Louisville and Don Hancock of Caldwell County; two brothers, John and Harvey Hancock, both of Lafayette; four grandchildren, Bradley and Bobby Hancock, Mallory Lawrence and Allison Thomas; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Morgan's Funeral Home in Princeton, the Revs. Bill Tichenor and Joe Carrico officiating. Graveside services will be at noon in Powell cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to his church.

J.C. Allsbrooks

DAWSON SPRINGS - J.C. Allsbrooks, 59, died Saturday, June 30, 2001, at his home after a long illness.

He worked in maintenance for Dawson Springs Community School and as a dietician for NHC in Dawson Springs.

He was a member of Greenwood Community Church.

Surviving are his mother, Louise Dillingham Barnett of Dawson Springs; his stepmother, Dorothy Brent of Dawson Springs; a daughter, Sheila Jones of Dawson Springs; a granddaughter, Lindsey Bennett; 14 sisters, Gladys Blanton, Anna Baucum, Loura Methard, Jean Salyers and Linda Loney, all of Dawson Springs, Clara Lantrip of Madisonville, Linda Menser and Marty Hamby, both of St. Charles, Gayla Hemmings of Providence, Renda Cansler of Illinois, Anna Larson of Kansas, Rebecca Ross of Princeton, Ky., Lillian Teague of Paducah and Annette Holeman of Crofton; and two brothers, Vernon Adams of Dawson Springs and James Baucum of Hopkinsville.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Beshear Funeral Home, the Rev. Jim Lantrip officiating, with burial in Shyflat cemetery.

Friends may call from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
