Ronald Lewis Clemons
2 February 1999

Ronald Lewis Clemons, 33, of Owensboro, formerly of Grayson County, died Monday, Feb. 1, 1999, in Daviess County from injuries suffered in an automobile accident. He was born in Louisville and was employed by AK Steel in Indiana. He graduated from Murray State University, where he received a bachelor's degree; graduated from Purdue University, where he received a doctorate degree; and was an alumnus of Kappa Alpha fraternity.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa Whitman Clemons; a daughter, Ashlea Clemons of Owensboro; his mother and stepfather, Martha Stevenson Clemons Logsdon and David Logsdon, both of Leitchfield; two brothers, Bill Clemons Jr. and Scott Clemons, both of Leitchfield; and a sister, Amy Clemons of Leitchfield.

Services are at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Peonia. Burial will be in Antioch Church cemetery near Peonia. Visitation is after 6 p.m. today at the home of Watson & Hunt Funeral Directors in Leitchfield.

Lillian B. Demko
2 February 1999

Lillian B. Demko, 73, of Owensboro died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999, at her home. She was born in Daviess County and retired as a credit clerk from Western Kentucky Gas Co. in Owensboro. She was a member of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church in Owensboro and enjoyed playing bridge and reading. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Demko, in 1966; and a son Michael Dean Demko in 1953.

Survivors include three sons, Dr. Peter W. Demko of Owensboro, Patrick G. Demko of Ledyard, Conn., and Stephen Jerome Demko of Lakeland, Fla.; seven grandchildren; a brother, Bobby Gene Mercer of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Laura Adams of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Billie Gober of Indianapolis.

Services are at noon today at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is after 9 a.m. today at the funeral home.

John Tom Edge
2 February 1999

John Tom Edge, 76, of 1602 E. 25th St., Owensboro, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 1999, at his brother's home. He was born in Ohio County and retired as an electrician from the electrical union of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Whitesville and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed hunting.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth "Stephen" Teasley of Owensboro; two daughters, Sherry E. Nash of Owensboro and Pamela Chapman of Fort Bridger, Wyo.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul C. Edge of Owensboro; two sisters, Clara Bristow and Anna "Jo" Weidner, both of Owensboro; and several nephews and nieces.

Services are at 4 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church. Entombment will be in Resurrection cemetery in Philpot. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home. Prayers will be said at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Laura Adkins LaMarr
2 February 1999

HANSON - Laura Adkins LaMarr, 95, of Hanson died Sunday, Jan. 31, 1999, at her home from a lengthy illness. She was born in Butler County, was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Her husband, Hiram LaMarr, died in 1997.

Survivors include a son, Glindell LaMarr of Hanson; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Eugene Adkins of Livia; and a sister, Lula Mills of Bowling Green.

Services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Tompkins Funeral Homes, Slaughters-Hanson Chapel. Burial will be in Eastlawn cemetery near Hanson. Visitation is after 4 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Green River Hospice. Memorial contribution envelopes are available at the funeral home.

Janet Sue McMeans
2 February 1999

Janet Sue McMeans, 49, of 2223 E. 19th St., Owensboro, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 1999, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. She was born in East St. Louis, Ill., was a former sitter for the elderly and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Beech Grove. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence "Smokey" McMeans, Feb. 14, 1994; and a daughter Deana Rule in 1973.

Survivors include three sons, Steve McMeans, Larry McMeans and Billy McMeans, all of Owensboro; two daughters, Tonya McMeans and Kimberly McMeans, both of Owensboro; two grandchildren; her father, Sylvester K. Rule of California; two sisters, Lois Welch of Rockport, Ind., and Nancy Marie Ater of Livermore; and several nephews and nieces.

Services are at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Owensboro Memorial Gardens Chapel. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation is after 1 p.m. Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Family of Janet McMeans, c/o Glenn Funeral Home, 900 Old Hartford Road, Owensboro, KY 42303. Memorial contribution envelopes are available at the funeral home.

Taz Brit Radloff
16 June 1998

Taz Brit Radloff, 7, of 758 Sargent Drive, Owensboro, died Monday, June 15, 1998, at Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville. He was born in Elgin, Ill., and completed first grade at Philpot Elementary School.

Survivors include his parents, Jim and Nancy Etherton Reed of Owensboro; his maternal grandparents, Jim and Virginia Etherton of Owensboro; his paternal grandparents, Bob and Bonnie Peabody of Niagara; his maternal great-grandfather, Joseph Etherton of Owensboro; his maternal great-grandmother, Margaret Diebolt of Elgin, Ill.; his paternal great-grandmother, Pauline Gibson of Niagara; and two brothers, Kody Radloff and Jaz Radloff, both at home.

Services are at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at James H. Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Owensboro. Burial will be in Resurrection cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Kosair Children's Hospital, Transplant Unit, Department 94465, Louisville, KY 40294-4465. Vernon Edge Noffsinger
28 November 1998

CENTRAL CITY - Vernon Edge Noffsinger, 83, of Central City died Friday, Nov. 27, 1998, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. He was born in Muhlenberg County, retired from Island Creek Mines and was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby Marie Woodall Noffsinger; three sons, Kaylon Noffsinger of Arlington, Texas, Merle Noffsinger of Central City and Gary Noffsinger of Bowling Green; a daughter, Sadie L. Rowe of Grandview, Ind.; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Lora Mae Underwood and Veleda Cornette, both of Greenville, and Una Fay Best of Hartland, Mich.

Services are at 1 p.m. Monday at Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Midland. Burial will be in Cedar Grove cemetery in Midland. Visitation is after 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City and after 11 a.m. Monday at the church.

Mary B. 'Tootsie' Wellman
2 December 1998

Mary B. "Tootsie" Wellman, 71, of 2003 Hughes Ave., Owensboro, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1998, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. She was born in Daviess County, retired from The Kroger Co. and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include a son, Barry Wellman of Owensboro; a brother, Albert Ray "Sonny" Brown of Owensboro; and several nephews.

Services are at 10 a.m. Friday at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel in Owensboro. Burial will be in Rosehill cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 8:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Leoda Jane 'Teko' Richardson
1 December 1998

PADUCAH - Leoda Jane "Teko" Richardson, 57, of Greenville died Friday, Nov. 27, 1998, at her daughter's home in Greenville. She was born in Paducah and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include two sons, Tommy Metheny and Kerry Metheny, both of Knoxville, Tenn.; a daughter, Tammy Cartwright of Greenville; one grandchild; her father, Leo Kimbal Nall of New Orleans; two brothers, Lenual L. Hall Jr. of Memphis, Tenn., and Gary L. Hall of Paducah; six sisters, Shirley J. Miller, Joan Hall, Janice Lindsey and Etta Hall, all of Paducah, Tana Rambo of Memphis and Lana Robertson of Metropolis, Ill.; and several nephews and nieces.

Services are at 1 p.m. today at Roth Funeral Chapel in Paducah. Burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery in Paducah.

James C. Rothrock
1 December 1998

WESTVIEW - James C. Rothrock, 61, of Westview died Sunday, Nov. 29, 1998, at his home. He was born in Pike County, Ind., and was disabled, a heavy equipment operator and a truck driver. He was a member of Rhodes Memorial United Methodist Church and Breckinridge County Moose Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Vonnie Laslie Rothrock; a daughter, LaChiel Thompson of Bowling Green; one grandchild; a brother, Patrick Rothrock of Custer; and two sisters, Bonnie Gail Frederick of Chandler, Ind., and Dodie Faye Myers of Goodlettsville, Tenn.

Services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg. Burial will be in Kingswood cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the James Rothrock Memorial Fund in care of Trent-Dowell Funeral Home. Memorial contribution envelopes are available at the funeral home.

Robert Howard Smith
1 December 1998

Robert Howard Smith, 74, of 1721 W. Fifth St., Owensboro, died Monday, Nov. 30, 1998, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. He was born in Hardin County and was a member of Crabtree Avenue Baptist Church in Owensboro. He was a World War II veteran of the Navy and the Coast Guard, was formerly employed by the street department of the city of Owensboro and was a member of Veterans Foreign Wars Post 696.

Survivors include three sons, Robert Eugene Smith and Edward Lee Dailey, both of Owensboro, and James Richard Dailey of Brownsville; a stepson, Darrel Huff of Owensboro; two stepdaughters, Sandra Hudson of Utica and Gloria Alexander of Owensboro; six grandchildren; nine stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and 10 stepgreat-grandchildren.

Services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Peter cemetery in Stanley. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Crabtree Avenue Baptist Church, 400 Crabtree Ave., Owensboro, KY 42301. Memorial contribution envelopes are available at the funeral home.

Dr. J.R. 'Bob' Jennison
4 December 1998

Dr. J.R. "Bob" Jennison, 84, of Madisonville died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 1998, at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. He was born in Bozeman, Mont., and was an Army veteran of World War II. He graduated from the University of Tennessee, received his doctorate of dental medicine from the University of Louisville and was a retired dentist. He was a member of Madisonville First Presbyterian Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 5480, Kentucky Dental Association and Sigma Chi fraternity.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth T. Jennison; a son, Robert Stewart Jennison of Owensboro; a daughter, Lee Tremaine Jennison of Coon Rapids, Minn.; and one grandchild.

Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday at Madisonville First Presbyterian Church. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home in Madisonville. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to either the United Way campaign or Boy Scouts of America. Memorial contribution envelopes are available at the funeral home.
