Patricia Rohrbacher Blaine, 61, of Owensboro died Saturday, April 24, 1999, at Hermitage Manor Nursing Center in Owensboro. She was born in Evansville, graduated from Mater Dei High School in 1956 and was employed at the Evansville Courier and the Owensboro Police Department for 10 years each in their customer service departments. She was a member of St. Stephen Cathedral in Owensboro and enjoyed clog dancing and aerobic exercise.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Blaine; two daughters, Gina Head of Evansville and Joan Dilger of Louisville; five grandchildren; and two brothers, Jim Rohrbacher of Evansville and Bill Rohrbacher of Pampa, Texas.

Services are at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Boniface Church in Evansville. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic cemetery in Evansville. Visitation is from 2 to 7 p.m. today at Alexander West Chapel in Evansville. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the American Brain Tumor Society. Memorial contribution envelopes are available at the funeral home.

Tamila 'Tammy' Peyton
28 April 1999

Tamila "Tammy" Peyton, 37, of 1651 W. Fourth St., Owensboro, died Monday, April 26, 1999, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. She was born in Daviess County, was formerly employed by Goodloe Thrift Shop and was a member of Walnut Memorial Baptist Church, where she was actively involved. She enjoyed fishing and horseback riding.

Survivors include her father and stepmother, Raymond and Judie Peyton of Owensboro; her mother, Judy Hancock of Hopkinsville; her great-grandmother, Clemmie Coakley of Rumsey; two brothers, Leonard Harris and Tony Harris, both of Madisonville; a sister, Pam Coakley of Madisonville; several nephews and nieces; and several cousins.

Services are at 1 p.m. Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel in Owensboro. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to either the Walnut Memorial Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 3300 Frederica St., Owensboro, KY 42301 or Kosair Children's Hospital Foundation, Department 94465, Louisville, KY 40202. Memorial contribution envelopes are available at the funeral home.

Bobby Glenn O'Bannon
28 April 1999

GRAHAM - Bobby Glenn O'Bannon, 38, of Graham died Monday, April 26, 1999, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. He was born in Muhlenberg County, was a truck driver and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Drakesboro.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa Briles O'Bannon; three sons, Steven O'Bannon of Powderly, Michael O'Bannon of Livermore and Jeremiah O'Bannon of Graham; two daughters, Megan O'Bannon and Melanie O'Bannon, both of Graham; his mother, Ann O'Bannon of Central City; four brothers, Steve O'Bannon of Greenville and Jerry O'Bannon, Harold O'Bannon and Michael O'Bannon, all of Central City; and four sisters, Ann Hawks of Dyersburg, Tenn., Martha Pendley of Greenville, Sandy Garrett of Bremen and Lisa Jackson of Central City.

Services are at 1 p.m. Thursday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery in Central City. Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ruth Helen Taylor Williams
28 April 1999

SLAUGHTERS - Ruth Helen Taylor Williams, 73, of Slaughters died Tuesday, April 27, 1999, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville from pneumonia. She was born in Hopkins County and was a member of Country View General Baptist Church in Henderson. She was a retired nurse and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Madelyn Elizabeth Maddox.

Survivors include her husband, the Rev. James W. Williams, formerly of Daviess County; two sons, James Williams Jr. of Slaughters and Roy Wayne Williams of Vandetta; six daughters, Carolyn Sue Goldsberry, Linda Darlene Mathews and Patricia Faye Patmore, all of Henderson, Betty Jo Graham of Birmingham, Ala., Janet Diane Peercy of Anthoston and Gigi Anise Gentry of Poole; 25 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lawrence Edward Taylor of Liberty and William Earl Taylor of Poole; and a sister, Dorothy Duncan of Tilden.

Services are at 2 p.m. Thursday at Country View General Baptist Church. Burial will be in Zion Brich Church cemetery near Slaughters. Visitation is after 3 p.m. today and from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Tompkins Funeral Homes, Slaughters Hanson Chapel and after noon Thursday at the church.

Josephine Elizabeth VanDivner
4 May 1999

SACRAMENTO - Josephine Elizabeth VanDivner, 71, of Cartersville, Ga., formerly of Sacramento, died Saturday, May 1, 1999, at Cartersville Medical Center. She was born in McLean County, was a homemaker and was a member of Sacramento Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include two sons, David VanDivner of Harbor Springs, Mich., and Ben VanDivner of Overland Park, Kan.; two daughters, Ruth Lee of Cartersville and Patty Woosley of Bushnell, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and four sisters, Delilah Clark, Jennie Martin and Lillie Barkley, all of Sacramento, and Marie Wilkins of Ozark, Ala.

Services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento. Burial will be in Sacramento Cumberland Presbyterian Church cemetery. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Sheila Rhea Simpson
28 April 1999

HARTFORD - Sheila Rhea Barnett Simpson, 44, of 3646 Russell Road, Utica, died Tuesday, April 27, 1999, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. She was born in Daviess County, was a homemaker and was a member of Barnetts Creek Baptist Church in Ohio County.

Survivors include three daughters, Stacy Shoe and Angie Padgett, both of Utica, and Gena Simpson of Greensboro, N.C.; three grandchildren; her father, Bobby Ray Barnett of Utica; a brother, Kenny Barnett of Hartford; and a sister, Trina Goodman of Utica.

Services are at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Church cemetery in Utica. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Olivia Faye Wells
27 April 1999

Olivia Faye "Sissy" Wells, 64, of 1706 McCulloch Ave., Owensboro, died Monday, April 26, 1999, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. She was born in Daviess County and was a member of SS. Joseph & Paul Catholic Church in Owensboro. She retired as a cook from Owensboro Catholic Schools and Moonlite Bar-B-Q Inn. She enjoyed collecting cherubs and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Gordon Wells; three sons, Jerry Wells of Owensboro, Greg Wells of Evansville and Jody Wells of Utica; eight grandchildren; her mother, Clarice Waltrip Trodglen of Owensboro; four brothers, Sonny Trodglen of Owensboro, Tony Trodglen of South Carolina, Billy Trodglen of West Union, Ohio, and Roy Trodglen of Tennessee Ridge, Tenn.; and four sisters, Betty Wagner, JoAnn Rich and Martha Jones, all of Owensboro, and Beverly Gore of Santa Claus, Ind.

Services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at SS. Joseph & Paul Catholic Church. Burial will be in Resurrection cemetery in Philpot. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home. Prayers will be said at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice Association Inc., 723 Harvard Drive, Owensboro, KY 42301. DUNDEE - Lois Ray "Butch" St. Clair, 69, of Dundee died Monday, May 3, 1999, at her home. She was born in Brownsville, Texas, was a homemaker and was of the Assembly of God denomination.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Coy St. Clair; a son, Dr. Coy St. Clair Jr. of Hartford; a daughter, Patricia Willoughby of Beaver Dam; and five grandchildren.

Services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Duke-Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Hartford. Burial will be in Olaton cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

John Clinton 'Jay' Pate
4 May 1999

John Clinton "Jay" Pate, 85, of 2720 Russell Road, Utica, died Sunday, May 2, 1999, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. He was born in Panther and was a farmer and a carpenter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mable Pinkston Pate, on Aug. 1, 1985; and a daughter, Bettye Horstman, on Dec. 4, 1998.

Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Sands of Utica and Darlene June Hoskins of Catlettsburg; two stepsons, W.R. Worthington of Utica and Bill Worthington of Owensboro; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Helen Holditch of Flat Rock, N.C., and Kathleen Greer of Vero Beach, Fla.

Services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. Burial will be in Calhoun cemetery. Visitation is after 6 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pearl Hammers
28 April 1999

MORGANTOWN - Pearl Hammers, 87, of Morgantown, formerly of Hatfield, Ind., died Tuesday, April 27, 1999, at Lake View Nursing Center in Morgantown. She was born in Lynnville, Ind.; retired as an assembler from Chrysler Corp.; and was a member of Rochester United Methodist Church. Her husband, Leonard Hammers, died in 1988.

Survivors include four sons, William Hammers of Bloomfield Hills, Mich., Marvin Hammers and Thomas Hammers, both of Richland, Ind., and Stephen Hammers of Morgantown; a daughter, Zora Riggs of Eureka, Ind.; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Cora Mae Rust of Holland, Ind.

Services are at 10 a.m. Thursday at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, Ind. Burial will be in James Parker cemetery in Hatfield. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the charity of the donor's choice. Memorial contribution envelopes are available at the funeral home.

Chilton Earl Mullikin
4 May 1999

BEAVER DAM - Chilton Earl "Uncle Fudge" Mullikin, 90, of Tempe, Ariz., formerly of Beaver Dam, died Thursday, April 29, 1999, in Tempe. He was born in Beaver Dam, retired from a taxicab/transportation business in Detroit after 40 years and enjoyed traveling.

Survivors include two sons, Peter Mullikin of Orange, Calif., and Ted Mullikin of Tempe; a daughter, Mary Pappas of Waterford, Mich.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Graveside services are at 1 p.m. Thursday at Fisher cemetery in McHenry. William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam is in charge of arrangements.

Joe Bennett Hines
25 April 1999

HARTFORD - Joe Bennett Hines, 79, of Hartford died Friday, April 23, 1999, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. He was born in Cool Springs, was an Army veteran of World War II and was a member of East Hartford Baptist Church, Centertown Masonic Lodge No. 714 and United Mine Workers of America, District 23, Local 1820 Illinois. He was formerly employed by Sheffied Mines in Beaver Dam and retired from Peabody Coal Company, River King Underground Mines in Freeburg, Ill. He enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Diane Hines Albin in 1972.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Frances Moorman Hines; two sons, Charles Ray Hines of Centertown and Larry Joe Hines of Beaver Dam; a daughter, Mary Sue Smith of Joplin, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Carroll Hines of Louisville and Willie Walton Hines of Illinois; and a sister, Grace Hawes of Cromwell.

Services are at 2 p.m. Monday at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford. Burial will be in Central Grove Church in Centertown. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Masonic services will be at 7 p.m. today. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice of Ohio County; 1211 Main St.; Hartford, KY 42347. Memorial contribution envelopes are available at the funeral home.
