Ella Dolores Bennett, 88, of 11559 South Jackson Road, Utica, died Sunday, April 25, 1999, at Riverside Manor Health Care Center in Calhoun. She was born in Grayson County, was a homemaker and was a member of Utica Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher for several years. Her husband, Roy Lee Bennett, died March 9, 1996.
Survivors include a son, Jerry L. Bennett of Utica; a daughter, Rose Ann Arnold of Owensboro; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert E. Carroll of Florida.
Services are at 1 p.m. today at Utica Baptist Church. Burial will be in Utica cemetery. Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. HARTFORD - Carolyn Sue Hardin, 36, of Hartford died Sunday, May 2, 1999, at her home. She was born in Hazard, was a housewife and attended Anton Baptist Church in Hopkins County.
Survivors include a son, Adam Hardin of Hartford; her mother, Christine Watson of Centertown; her grandparents, Oscar and Alma Sellers of Beaver Dam; four brothers, Tommy Hughes of Beaver Dam, Jackie Kirk of Pinckneyville, Ill., and Robert Kirk and Willis Watson Jr., both of Centertown; and a sister, Sandra Lynn Ward of Calhoun.
Services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial will be in Centertown cemetery. Visitation is from 1 to 9 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

HARDINSBURG - Carrie Fentress, 92, of Louisville, formerly of Axtel, died Monday, May 3, 1999, at Regency Health Care Center in Louisville. She was born in Grayson County, was a homemaker and was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Axtel. Her husband, John Franklin Fentress, died in 1992.
Survivors include two sons, James Fentress and Melvin Fentress, both of Louisville; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Anthony cemetery in Axtel. Visitation is after 4 p.m. today at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg. Prayers will be said at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

CLOVERPORT - Mary Jo Whitehouse, 95, of Cloverport died Wednesday, April 28, 1999, at Medco Center in Hardinsburg. She was born in Balltown and was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Cloverport.
Survivors include four nephews; four nieces; and several great-nephews and great-nieces.
Services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Rose Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery in Cloverport. Visitation is after 10 a.m. today at Wallace Funeral Home in Cloverport. Vigil services are at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ammia Cecilia "Cecil" Harley Meserve, 81, of Knottsville died Wednesday, April 28, 1999, at Bon Harbor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Owensboro. She was born in Daviess County, was a homemaker and was a member of St. William Catholic Church in Knottsville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmitt E. Meserve, on Aug. 3, 1996; and two sons, Larry Meserve on Nov. 1, 1968, and Jerry Meserve on Feb. 4, 1991.
Survivors include five sons, Bill Meserve, Patrick "Boonie" Meserve and Calvin Meserve, all of Knottsville, Jake Meserve of Owensboro and Bobby Meserve of Wildwood, Ga.; five daughters, Wanda Lanham and Clara Johnson, both of Knottsville, Katie Christian and Murty Hagan, both of Whitesville, and Linda Howard of Ensor; 38 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Charles Harley of Michigan, Thomas Harley of Anderson, Ind., and Otto Harley of Owensboro; and two sisters, Earnie Mae "Trish" Logsdon of Owensboro and Mary Katherine "Red" Bickett of Knottsville.
Services are at noon Saturday at St. William Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. William cemetery in Knottsville. Visitation is after 2 p.m. today and from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Cecil Funeral Home in Whitesville. Prayers will be said at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Eugene E. Frey Jr.

Eugene E. "Gene" Frey Jr., 64, of 1940 Daniels Lane, Owensboro, died Thursday, April 29, 1999, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. He was born in Daviess County and served in the Army from 1957 to 1959. He was employed by Wyndall's Supermarket from 1949 to 1972; was co-owner of Lyons Brothers Wholesale from 1972 to 1979; and retired from Big Rivers Electric, where he was employed from 1980 to 1997. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Owensboro, where he was a member of the cooking team for 38 years and the building and ground committee. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his friends and family.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Gertie Sims Frey; a son, Gary A. Frey of Owensboro; five daughters, Pam Randolph, Vicki Frey Thompson, Sharon Tipmore, Mary Jacob and Natalie Frey, all of Owensboro; 11 grandchildren; two brothers, Vince Frey and Norman Frey, both of Owensboro; and a sister, Judy Peach of Owensboro.
Services are at noon Monday at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mater Dolorosa cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro. Prayers will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Charles Lee DeLacey, 63, of 802 E. 21st St., Owensboro, died Wednesday, April 28, 1999, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. He was born in Daviess County and was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church in Owensboro. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War and retired as captain from the Owensboro Fire Department after 30 years. He enjoyed listening to country music and playing cards and golfing with retired firefighters.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Margaret "Margo" DeLacey; a son, Charles "Dusty" Dustin DeLacey of Owensboro; three brothers, John D. DeLacey and Bill DeLacey, both of Owensboro, and Guy E. DeLacey of Spring, Texas; a sister, Martha "Sis" Rayman of Owensboro; several nephews and nieces; and several great-nephews and great-nieces.
Services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at Blessed Mother Catholic Church. Burial will be in Resurrection cemetery in Philpot. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home. Prayers will be said at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. MORGANFIELD - Freda Wolfe, 62, of Morganfield died Saturday, May 1, 1999, at Community Hospital in Henderson. She was a member of St. Ann Church and was employed at Wal-Mart and Rite Aid.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Charles A. Wolfe; five sons, Tim Wolfe of Dayton, Tenn., Charlie Wolfe of Waverly, Leonard Wolfe of Cadiz, Raymond Wolfe of Evansville and Philip Wolfe of Morganfield; five daughters, Becky Greenwell and Charlotte Gibson, both of Morganfield, Sarah Burlison of Evansville, Paula Aud of Owensboro and Ruth Williams of Henderson; 40 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; three brothers, Tom Blandford Jr. of Wyanet, Ill., David Blandford of Sterling, Ill., and Larry Blandford of Buda, Ill.; and three sisters, Betty Buckman of Buda, Helen Wolfe of Waverly and Lucile Liesse of Dalzell, Ill.
