Dana Leah Carpenter

Dana Leah Carpenter, 39, of Utica died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2001, at her home. The Owensboro native graduated from Daviess County High School, received bachelor's and master's degrees in nursing from Western Kentucky University and was a member of Sugar Grove Baptist Church. She had worked at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, St. Paul Hospital in Dallas and was attending chiropractic school at Parker Community College.
Survivors include her mother, Renetta Sutherlin Carpenter of Masonville; two brothers, James Dennis Carpenter and Dean Lee Carpenter, both of Masonville; and four nephews and two nieces.
Services are at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro. Burial will be in Rosehill cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. REYNOLDS STATION - Michele Ann Johnson, 38, formerly of Reynolds Station died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2001, at Kindred Hospital in Louisville from injuries suffered in an automobile accident on Kentucky 144 in 1997. The Passaic, N.J., native had worked at Davis Electric/Construction in Hawesville. Her husband, Terry Lee Johnson Sr., died in 1997 following the automobile accident.
Services are pending at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro.
Emma Lee Howard

BEAVER DAM - Emma Lee Howard, 75, of Beaver Dam died Monday, Nov. 19, 2001, at Professional Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Hartford. The Butler County native was a housewife and member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Horse Branch. Her husband, Samuel Bradley Howard, died Nov. 23, 1991.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald L. Howard and Bradley L. Howard, both of Beaver Dam; two daughters, Freda Willoughby of Beaver Dam and Kathy Daugherty of Horse Branch; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial will be in Sunnyside cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation is from 5 to 9 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Tammy Jo McElvain Everly

MOORMAN - Tammy Jo McElvain Everly, 40, of Moorman died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2001, at University of Louisville Hospital. The Kenoshia, Wis., native was a member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, John Everly; a daughter, Jessi Howton of Henderson; her parents, Gerald and Nell McElvain of Powderly; paternal grandmother, Nadine McElvain of Greenville; maternal grandmother, Mary Hobgood of Central City; a brother, Allen McElvain of Powderly; and two sisters, Tammy Tabb of Greenville and Denise Bean of Powderly.
Services are at 11 a.m. Thursday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery in Central City. Visitation is after 4:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Helen Vernita McDaniel

ORANGE CITY, Fla. - Helen Vernita McDaniel, 82, of Orange City, formerly of Buffaloville, Ind., died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2001, at Oakwood Gardens of Deland (Fla.). The Spencer County, Ind., native was a member of Buffaloville Methodist Church and ran the general store in the early 1940s. She became postmaster in 1943 and retired in 1980. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert McDaniel.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra L. Wilcox of Orange City and Barbara McFall Cox of Hillsboro, Mo.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Fuller Funeral Home and Crematory, Dale (Ind.) chapel. Burial will be in Mount Zion Christian Church cemetery in Spencer County. Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pauline Peech

Pauline Peech, 72, of Owensboro died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Ohio County native was an interior designer at her family-owned business, Peechtree Antiques Gallery in Owensboro and was a member of Fountain Downtown Nondenominational Church in Owensboro. She was preceded in death by a stepson, Donald Peech.
Survivors include her husband, Everett Peech; six sons, Larry Peech, Ronnie Peech and Everett Carrol Peech, all of Owensboro, Micky Peech of Hartford, Ricky Peech of Pleasant Ridge and James Peech of Maceo; four daughters, Angela Faye Messer and Barbara Evans, both of Owensboro, Patty Peech of Utica and Luci Armstrong of Dallas; two stepdaughters, Lois Hoffman of Georgia and Loudella Henry of Chicago; 21 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Russell McDaniel and Joe C. McDaniel, both of Beaver Dam.
Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Entombment will be in Sunnyside cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation is from 4 to 9 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Florence Catherine Glover

Florence Catherine Glover, 101, of Hermitage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Owensboro, died there Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2001. The Boston native was a homemaker and attended Trinity Episcopal Church. She had attended Boston University, had volunteered at a hospital in Baton Rouge, La., when she was 85 and enjoyed playing bridge. Her husband, John Heyward Glover, died in 1980.
Survivors include a daughter, Juliana G. Melander of Owensboro; two grandsons; and four great-grandsons.
Private services are Thursday at Trinity Episcopal Church. There is no visitation. Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro is in charge of arrangements. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 1900 Richmond Road, Lexington, KY 40502.
Rebecca Ann 'Becky' Randolph

DRAKESBORO - Rebecca Ann "Becky" Randolph, 51, of Drakesboro died Monday, Nov. 19, 2001, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville after a short illness. The Muhlenberg County native was a member of Graham Missionary Baptist Church and a seamstress at Flynn Corp. in Central City.
Survivors include a son, Michael Randolph of Greenville; two daughters, Tonia Basham and Jenny Browning, both of Greenville; four grandsons; a stepgranddaughter; and a sister, Peggy Drury of Graham.
Services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Gary's Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial will be in New Cypress cemetery in Greenville. Visitation is after 5 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

DRAKESBORO - Ronnie Earl Smith, 29, of Drakesboro died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2001, in Drakesboro from injuries suffered in an automobile accident . He was born in Muhlenberg County.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Ann Smith; three daughters, Alichia A. Smith of Madisonville, and Shanna M. Smith and Dana N. Smith, both of Drakesboro; his father and stepmother, Raymond and Donna Smith of Drakesboro; his mother and stepfather, Dorene and James Hoops of Beaver Dam; three brothers, James F. Smith and Thomas J. Smith, both of Drakesboro, and Jimmy D. Smith of Central City; three sisters, Loretha Whitaker of Belton, Virginia Smith of Drakesboro and Rebecca Shaw of Cleaton; five stepbrothers, Darrell Groves of Henderson, David Groves of Madisonville and Tommie Groves, Timmy Groves and Rubin Groves, all of Drakesboro; and two stepsisters, Donna Gates of Belton and Sherry Bechanan of Dunmor.
Services are at 1 p.m. Sunday at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home. Burial will be in Wilcox cemetery. Visitation is after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Stanislaus Stelmach

MAPLE MOUNT - Stanislaus Stelmach, 76, of Maple Mount died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Tarnow, Poland, native came to the United States in 1950 and retired from Maple Mount Farm after 40 years as a dairy man and butcher. He was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and enjoyed gardening and watching TV.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Genevieve Wnek Stelmach; four sons, Todd Stelmach, John Stelmach and Joe Stelmach, all of Owensboro, and Mike Stelmach of St. Joseph; seven grandchildren; a stepgrandchild; four great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; a brother, Wieslaw Stelmach of Tarnow; and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in St. Joseph. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro. Prayers will be said at 6:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. GREENVILLE - Jesse Taylor, 91, of Greenville died there Saturday, Nov. 17, 2001, at Maple Manor Nursing Home. The Ohio County native was a retired coal miner.
Survivors include four sisters, Grace Wallace and Verneda Green, both of Detroit, Lima Taylor of Lexington and Georgia Riley of Indianapolis; and several nephews and nieces.
