BEAVER DAM - Michael Lee Lindgren, 52, of Beaver Dam died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, at Ohio County Hospital. The Hammond, Ind., native retired from truck driving after 28 years.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Johnson Lindgren; two daughters, Shelly Hoffman of Rochester, Ind., and Vickie Lindgren of South Carolina; three grandchildren; and a brother, Richard Lindgren of Hartford.

Services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at William L. Danks Funeral Home chapel in Beaver Dam. Burial will be in Sunnyside cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation is from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Agnes Rebecca McQuinn Hicks

Agnes Rebecca McQuinn Hicks, 82, of 5304 Kentucky 56, Owensboro, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Owensboro native retired after 30 years in 1989 from International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1701 as a secretary and was a member of Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Owensboro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Raymond Hicks, on May 9, 1995; and a daughter, Rebecca L. Koller, on April 3, 1994.

Survivors include two sons, James E. Hicks of Santa Claus, Ind., and Charles T. Hicks of Owensboro; two daughters, Deanna R. Estes of Owensboro and Charlea Parr of Wooster, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dora Merrill of Evansville.

Memorial services are at noon Friday at James H. Davis Funeral Home chapel in Owensboro. Private burial will be in Elmwood cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is after 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to American Red Cross, Big Rivers Chapter, 1650 West 2nd St., Owensboro, KY 42301 or American Heart Association, 318 St. Elizabeth St., Owensboro, KY 42301.

David D. Kimble

LEXINGTON - David D. Kimble, 44, of Lexington died Monday, Dec. 10, 2001, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. The Evansville native retired from Kentucky Department of Revenue in 1999 and attended a Methodist church. He was a Christian, received an accounting degree from University of Kentucky and was appointed to the governor's task force on disability.

Survivors include three brothers, Michael K. Kimble, DDS of Elizabethtown and Steve Kimble and Greg Kimble, both of Owensboro; eight nephews and nieces; and a great-niece.

Services are at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and after noon Thursday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Spinal Cord Society.

Virgil Lee Duncan Jr.

Virgil Lee Duncan Jr., 76, of 4037 Fogle Drive, Owensboro, died Saturday, March 23, 2002, at his home. The Henderson County native retired from W.R. Grace after 30 years of service as a production supervisor. He attended Evansville College and received the Industrial Safety Award. He was a member of Wesleyan Heights United Methodist Church, Oddfellows of Henderson for 50 years, AARP and enjoyed baseball and politics.

Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Barbara Duncan; a daughter, Janna Lea DeMarsh of Crescent Springs; two grandsons; a brother, Owen Duncan of Smith Mills; and several nephews and nieces.

Services are at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro. Burial will be in Mater Dolorosa cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Hattie B. Peveler

BREMEN - Hattie B. Peveler, 99, of Bremen died Tuesday, March 19, 2002, at Belle Meade Nursing Home in Greenville. The Muhlenberg County native was a homemaker and member of New Harmony Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Farley Peveler of Milford, Ohio; a daughter, Geroma N. Stinnett of Central City; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Hazel Gish and Jewell Noffsinger, both of Bremen, and Marie Nicholson of Central City.

Services are at 10 a.m. Friday at New Harmony Baptist Church in Muhlenberg County. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. The body will lie in state after 9 a.m. Friday at the church.

Florence Marie Hagan

Florence Marie Hagan, 73, of 2224 Carter Road, Owensboro, died Monday, March 11, 2002, at her home. The Russellville native was a homemaker, a Baptist and enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Earl Hagan; four daughters, Venice Higgs, Charlene Harris and Monica Hagan Phipps, all of Owensboro, and Sheila Hagan of Atlanta; eight grandchildren; a sister, Nancy Christburg of Cleveland; and several nephews and nieces.

Memorial services are at 10 a.m. Thursday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home chapel. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Ronald McDonald House.

James Sanders
6 April 2002

James Sanders, 68, of Daviess County died Thursday, April 4, 2002, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Sebree native enjoyed farming, yardwork and gardening.

Survivors include three brothers, Riley Sanders, Sam Sanders and Robert Lee Sanders, all of Owensboro; a sister, Pearl Lena Sanders of Owensboro; several nephews and nieces; and several cousins.

There are no services or visitation. McFarland Funeral Home in Owensboro is in charge of arrangements.

Kenneth H. Kernen

BOWLING GREEN - Kenneth H. Kernen, 60, of Bowling Green died Friday, April 5, 2002, at his home. The Frankfort native had worked at several poultry industries and was a member of Hartford United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Saundra Kernen; two daughters, Debbie Davidson and Michelle Rigdon, both of Bowling Green; a granddaughter; and his stepfather, Earl Park of Hartford.

Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday at J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Burial will be in Bowling Green Gardens. Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to American Cancer Society.

Rosie Lee Loney

Rosie Lee Loney, 64, of 1624 Ohio St., Owensboro, died Thursday, March 21, 2002, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Daviess County native retired from AT&T; after 30 years and was a member of Owensboro Christian Church. She was active in Telecare Ministry, Telephone Pioneers, Stanley Order of Eastern Star No. 253 and Families Anonymous and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her family.

Survivors include her husband of 23 years, Earl Loney; three sons, Harold Richardson and Greg Richardson, both of Owensboro, and Greg Loney of LaPorte, Ind.; two daughters, Carla York of Owensboro and Candy Coy of Chattanooga, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a sister, Mary "Mickey" Pruden of Owensboro; and several nephews and nieces.

Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday at Owensboro Christian Church. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Saturday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to New Horizons, 320 Clay St., Owensboro, KY 42303.

Neal Baggarly

BEAVER DAM - Clyde Neal Baggarly, 67, of Beaver Dam died Sunday, March 17, 2002, at his home. The Ohio County native retired from Peabody Graham Hill Coal Mine and was a member of Pond Run Baptist Church near Echols.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Faye Williams Baggarly; a son, James Neal Baggarly of Echols; three stepgrandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; his mother, Alder Baggarly of Echols; three brothers, Lendon Baggarly of Echols, Billy Baggarly of Bardstown and James L. Baggarly of Owensboro; and a sister, Shirley Dowell of Beaver Dam.

Services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial will be in Pond Run cemetery in Echols. Visitation is from 3 to 9 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Richard A. 'Sarge' Hagan

HAHIRA, Ga. - Richard A. "Sarge" Hagan, 69, of Hahira, formerly of Daviess County, died Tuesday, April 2, 2002, at South Georgia Medical Center after a brief illness. The Reed native retired from the Air Force and was a Baptist.

Survivors include a son, Richard Hagan of Dublin, Ga.; four daughters, Debbie Rowe of Hahira, Margie Clements of Ray City, Ga., Susan May of Valdosta, Ga., and Brenda Hagan of Vine Grove; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Odie Hagan of Glendale, N.Y., Paul Hagan of Newburgh, Ind., and Bob Hagan of Baskett; and a sister, Anna Huff of Bowling Green.

Graveside services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at Riverview Memorial Gardens in Georgia. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Carson McLane Funeral Home in Valdosta. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Pearlman Comprehensive Cancer Center at South Georgia Medical Center.
