William LaVerne Clouse, 80 of 1620 Maple Avenue died on September 29, 2004 at Owensboro Medical Health Systems. He was born on November 14, 1923 in Daviess County, Ky. to the late William Rudy and Mary Agnes Stallings Clouse. He was retired from Glenmore Distilleries after 47yrs., veteran of WW II, served in European Campaign Fought in battle of the bulge, awarded bronze star and two purple hearts, received battlefield commission as staff sergeant in US ARMY during WWII. Charter member of Immaculate Catholic Church, Ky.Colonel, VFW Post 696, St. Vincent DePaul Society, Knights of Columbus, Disabled American Veterans, enjoyed gardening and traveling. preceded in death by his brother Wilfred Clouse in 2002. Surviving are his wife, Cordy Huff Clouse of Owensboro, Ky. of 58yrs. of marriage, three daughters; Sheila and her husband Mickey Gaddis of Masonville, Ky., Debbie and her husband Greg Arnold of Masonville, Ky., Paulette and her husband Bobby David of Livermore, Ky., grandchildren, Nicole and her husband Chad Johnson of Nashville, Tn., Lisa McNeese of Nashville, Tn., Amy and her husband Drew Overby of Baltimore, Md., Ryan and his wife Tabitha Arnold of Owensboro, Ky., Billy Hardesty of Philpot, Ky., Brooke and her husband Jarod Boling of Owensboro, Ky., Lindsay Davis of Owensboro, Ky., eight great grandchildren, brothers, Francis and his wife Thomasine Clouse of St. Joseph, Ky., Jim and his wife Theresa Clouse of Owensboro, Ky., Harold and his wife Cecilia Clouse of St. Joseph, Ky., Joseph(Buck)Clouse of Owensboro, Ky., sisters, Mamie McDaniel of Owensboro, Ky., Rose and her husband Craig Mauzy of Owensboro, Ky., sister-in-law, Betty Clouse of Owensboro, Ky., several nieces and nephews. Services are at 10:00am. Saturday at Immaculate Catholic Church, visitation at Haley-McGinnis Funeral Home from 2:00 to 8:00pm. Friday and 8:00 to 9:30am. Saturday, prayers will be at 6:00pm. Friday, burial will be in Resurrection cemetery. Reverend Timothy Sweeney will be officiating.

William E. (Bill) Rice, 68, of 1438 W. 11th Street, Owensboro, passed away at Owensboro Medical Health System March 5, 2005. He was born March 11, 1936 in Ohio County to the late Talmaage and Freda (Lloyd)Rice. He was preceded in death by two sons, Larry and Keith Carlisle. He is survived by his wife, Flossie L. Rice of 36 years, 5 sons and their wives, Jack & Carolyn Carlisle, Wayne & Mary Rose Carlisle, Steve & Sonia Carlisle, Rick & Gail Carlisle all of Owensboro and James F. & Rexie Carlisle of Philpot. Six daughters & their husbands, Kristina & Mike Aldridge of Owensboro, Shannon Reynolds, Owensboro, Floetta & Ronnie Vaughn of Owensboro, Sandra & Ronnie Sandefur of Philpot, Elaine & Mike Thompson of Owensboro, Bonnie & Dale Bowlds of Owensboro. A sister, Becky & her husband, Danny Pogue of Fordsville, Aunt Rachael Atherton of Owensboro, several cousins, 2 nephews and 2 daughter-in-laws, Mary Carlisle of Albany Ind and Connie Carlisle of Owensboro. Surviving are 29 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Hal Steven Jackson, 54 of 2710 East 10th Street, died on February 4, 2006 in Atlanta, Georgia, He was born in Evansville, Indiana to the late Hal Jackson and Betty Hesten. He was employed by Millis Transfer as a truck driver. He enjoyed pool and golf and watching University of Kentucky basketball. He is survived by his wife of 26years of marriage, Cathy Jackson of Owensboro; one daughter, Krystal McKinnis and her husband, Timothy of US ARMY, Ft. Campbell, Ky.; four sons, Steven Jackson and his wife, Freida of Fordsville, Jeffrey Jackson, US ARMY RESERVES, Deanfield, Thomas Puckett and his wife, Patricia of Hancock County, and Kevin Jackson, US ARMY, Ft. Campbell; nine grandchildren; one sister, Vicky Belcher of Owensboro; one brother, Jeffery Jackson of Lexington, Ky. Services are at 2PM. Wednesday at Haley-McGinnis Funeral Home Chapel, visitation is from 4 to 8pm. Tuesday and 9 to 2pm. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery. Reverend Charles Stewart will be officiating.

Randall (Randy) Alan Head, 43, of Owensboro, passed away 2-2-06 at his home. He was born 5-29-62 in Daviess County to Henry I Head, Sr., and Virginia Morgan. He was a dietary aide and enjoyed music and movies. He was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Eva Head, two daughters, Tamra Head, Owensboro and Jessica Head, Louisville. A long time friend, Margaret Payne of Owensboro, and sisters, two step-sisters, Sherry Turner of Owensboro, Shelly McCarthy, Owensboro, Sister-in-law, Debbie Head, Owensboro and brothers: Marty Head and his wife Andrea, O'Fallon, Missouri and Michael Head, Owensboro. Several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.

She was born in Daviess County, Kentucky to the late James Rolla Risse and Mary Emma Jean Henning Risse. Also preceded in death by sister, Mary Ann Dye. She worked as a real estate appraiser for Real Estate Appraisals and Consultants, LLC and formerly as office manager at Foreman-Watson, LLC. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and St. Anthony Choir. She enjoyed being with family, watching UK Basketball, youth sports, singing in church choir. Survivors include her husband of 15years of marriage, Charles Robert Sanders; one son, Matthew Sanders at home; one daughter, Mary Shannon Sanders at home; three sisters, Helen Goatee and her husband, Ricky of Stanley, Ky., Marie Ater, of Georgetown, Indiana, Paula VanCleave and her husband, Larry of Henderson, Ky.; three brothers, Daniel Risse and his wife, Connie of Stanley, Ky., David Risse and his wife, Rosetta of Stanley, Donald Risse and his wife, Susan of West Louisville. Services are at 2pm. Thursday at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Browns Valley, Ky. Visitation at St. Anthony Catholic Church from 2:30 to 8:00pm. Wednesday with prayers at 7:00pm. Wednesday and visitation at the church on Thursday from 12 to 2pm. Reverend Tony Jones will be officiating. He was retired estimator for Clark Construction and had also worked for J.P. Rusher and Lanham Construction. He was a veteran of the Coast Guard during World War II. He was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church, enjoyed nature and visiting the farm. Also preceded in death by three brothers: Bill Morris, Carrol Morris and George Morris and a niece, Martha Delacy. Surviving are his wife of 63years of marriage, Mary M.(Clark)Morris; two nephews that he helped raise: Ed Clark of Miami Florida and Tony Clark formerly of St.Clairsville, Ohio now of Owensboro, Ky. and a niece: Dorothy Tilberg of Irvington, Ky.; nephew, Bill Morris of Lexington, Ky. and a niece, Diane Morris of Owensboro. Services are 10am. Thursday, April 27, 2006 at St.Martin Catholic Church in Rome, Ky., visitation is from 4 to 8pm. Wednesday at Haley-McGinnis Funeral Home and 8 to 9:30am. Thursday at the funeral home. Prayers will be said at 5pm. Wednesday at the funeral home. Reverend Pete Hughes will be officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection cemetery. She enjoyed walking three miles everyday, exercise classes, league bowling and she loved her dogs. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Owen Campbell in July 2, 2005; sister, Leola Cheek in 1996. Surviving are her daughter, Linda Goetz and her husband, Larry of Owensboro; step-daughter, Joanie Marie Singer and her husband, Howard of Orlando, Florida; son, Wayne Jackson and his wife, Darlene of Owensboro; step-son, Robert Campbell and his wife, Angie of Owensboro; grandchildren, Bill Bell of Newburgh, Indiana and Shannon Bowen of Owensboro;one step-grandchild, Ryan Goetz of Louisville, KY; great-grandchildren, Bryce Bowen and Kelsey Bowen; sister, Jewell Dean Winstead of Madisonville, Ky.; brothers, James Blake of Madisonville and Kenneth Blake of Austin, Tx. Services are at 11am. Monday, April 24, 2006 at Haley-McGinnis Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation is from 3 to 8pm. Sunday at Haley-McGinnis Funeral Home and 9 to 11am. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Grapevine cemetery in Madisonville, Ky. Rev. Dennis McFadden and Rev. Brian Roberts will be officiating. McKay of Hopkinsville; two sisters, Melanie Wayne of Owensboro and Stephanie Spann of PeeWee Valley, Ky.; one brother, Chris Johnson of Chapmansboro, Tn.; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2pm. Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at Haley-McGinnis Funeral Home chapel, visitation is from 2 to 8pm. Tuesday and 9 to 2pm. Wednesday at the chapel. Reverend Leighton Thomasson and Reverend Patricia Smith will be officiating.
