Walter E. Adams, 88, of Williamstown, formerly of Jupiter, Fla., died at noon Sunday. He was a retired laboratory communications technician for Western Electric and AT&T. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. His wife, Martha C. Dew Adams, died in 1977.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Burial will be in Lake Worth Memory Gardens, Lake Worth, Fla. Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Covington, is handling local arrangements.

Lois Boss, 82, of Ft. Mitchell, died at 11:15 p.m. Monday at Deaconess Hospital, Cincinnati.

Arrangements are pending at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, Ludlow.

Rita M. Busemeyer, 93, of Ft. Wright, died at 8:45 a.m. Sunday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was retired from the Imperial Paper Color Corp., the Chrysler Corp. and Aero Jet Space Co.

Survivors include a sister, Rosella T. Busemeyer of Ft. Wright.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Agnes Church, Ft. Wright. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Mother of God Cemetery, Ft. Wright. Don Catchen and Son Funeral Home, Covington, is handling arrangements.

Marcella Cull, 83, of Lewisport, formerly of Covington, died Sunday at Heartland Villa in Lewisport. Her husband, Lindsey Cull, preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Lindsey Cull of Richmond, Va.; brothers, Lee Wilcher of North Hollywood, Calif., Marshall Wilcher of Pittsburgh and Estes Wilcher of Tell City, Ind.; and a sister, Mary Baker of Lewisport.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Forest Lawn Cemetery Chapel, Erlanger. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Ashland Avenue Baptist Church, 2735 Ashland Ave., Covington, 410015, or to Chestnut Grove Baptist Church, 2521 Ky. 657, Lewisport, 42351. Mary Sue Danner, 82, of Latonia, died at 5:48 p.m. Sunday at Harrodsburg Health Care Center, Harrodsburg. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Ashland Avenue Baptist Church, Covington. Her husband, C. Carl Danner, died in 1975.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Butler County Memorial Park, Butler County, Ohio. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, 7730 U. S. 42, Suite C-6, Florence, 41042.

Elbert Florence, 72, of Elsmere, died at 2:19 a.m. Sunday at t. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. He was a retired auto body repairman and the owner of Elbert's Body Shop in Covington. He was a World War II Navy veteran and was a trustee and steward of the Barnes Temple A.M.E. Church, Elsmere.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Porterfield Florence; a son, Elbert L. Florence II of Erlanger; daughters, Alene Louis and Alberta Baker of Elsmere, and Monica Boynton of Louisville; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Barnes Temple A.M.E. Church, Elsmere. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Mary Smith Memorial Cemetery, Elsmere. Jones and Simpson Funeral Home, Covington, is handling arrangements.

Dr. Lawrence "Larry" Edward Griesinger Jr., 68, of Morehead, formerly of Covington, died Sunday at St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington. Dr. Griesinger was a member of the faculty at Morehead State University, where he served as director of student teaching, director of MSU Teachers Corps and was a graduate faculty member and student advisor. He was a member of the Morehead First Baptist Church, where he also was a deacon. He also served with the Army during the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Pemberton Griesinger; a son, Lawrence "Tripp" Edward Griesinger III of Lexington; a daughter, Angie Marie Griesinger of Memphis, Tenn.; his mother, Dorothy Mae Goranflo Griesinger of Bellevue; and a brother, Walter Stanley Griesinger of Cincinnati.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Morehead First Baptist Church. Visitation will be after 7 p.m. today at Northcutt and Son Home for Funerals, Morehead. Burial will be in Roane Memorial Gardens, Rockwood, Tenn.

Joseph C. Houdershelt, 74, of Newport, died Saturday at Bethesda North Hospital, Montgomery, Ohio. He was a retired assembler for General Motors.

Survivors include a sister.

Cremation will be at Baxter Crematory, Cincinnati. Radel Funeral Home, Newport, is handling arrangements.

Ruth Clemons Houston, 63, of Florence, died Monday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. She was an insurance agent and a beautician at First Lady Beauty Salon for 16 years. She was a member of Open Door Community Church of God, Erlanger.

Survivors include her husband, Dan Houston; a daughter, Sandra Hassman of Madeira, Ohio; sons, Dan Houston and Mark A. Houston of Florence; a sister, June Wilson of Elsmere; brothers, Buddy Clemons and Sam Clemons of Florence; and 13 grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hopeful Lutheran Cemetery, Florence. Memorials are suggested to Open Door Community Church of God, 3528 Turkeyfoot Road, Erlanger, 41018, or to the charity of choice.

Betty Jo Humphrey, 65, of Florence, died at 3:10 p.m. Sunday at her residence. She was a homemaker and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Simon Kenton Post 20 American Legion and Ladies Auxiliary Ralph Fulton Post 6423 V.F.W. Her husband, James Humphrey, died in 1985.

Survivors include a son, Lonnie Inabnit of Morelia, Mexico; daughters, Marsha Jones of Independence, Kim Dringenburg of Florence and Jennifer Grubenhoff of Elsmere; a sister, Margaret Polhlemus of Florence; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Stith Funeral Home, Florence. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger. Memorials are suggested to the Morelia Home For Children, P.O. Box 1342, Florence, 410022.

Christine Ivey, 70, of Cincinnati, died Sunday at Deaconess Hospital, Cincinnati.

Survivors include an aunt, Joyce Fowler of Latonia, and several cousins.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger. Radel Funeral Home, Newport, is handling arrangements.

Clifford Dave Jones, 59, of Frankfort, died Sunday at his residence. He was a former employee of Marcus Furniture, Frankfort, and a carpet installer. He was a member of Elks Lodge No. 530, Frankfort.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Jones; sons, Gary Dale Jones of Frankfort and Randy Wayne Jones of Lawrenceburg; a stepson, Kevin Ballinger of Frankfort; stepdaughters, Teresa Kamarata of Phoenix and Lisa Mathers and Johnna Ballinger of Frankfort; a brother, Ronald Jones of Corinth; a sister, Brenda Leach of Berry; one grandchild and eight step-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rogers Funeral Home, Corinth. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Frankfort. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 208 Steele St., Frankfort, 40601-2744.

Marshall James Ney, 83, of Ft. Thomas, died Monday at St. Luke Hospital East, Ft. Thomas. He was a retired insurance adjuster for the General Adjustment Bureau. He was a member of the choir at Highland United Methodist Church, Ft. Thomas, for 67 years; a member of the Ft. Thomas Board of Adjustment for 25 years and a member of the board of directors at St. Luke Hospital East for 15 years. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a member and past presi dent of the Ft. Thomas Lions Club.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Hubbard Ney; a son Dr. Jim Ney of Richmond; a daughter, Cynthia Mattis of Wilmington, N.C.; and six grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Highland United Methodist Church, Ft. Thomas. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Dobbling Funeral Home, Ft. Thomas. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate. Memorials are suggested to Highland United Methodist Church, 314 N. Ft. Thomas Ave., Ft. Thomas, 41075.

Amelia Evelyn Norton, 94, of Newport, died at 2 a.m. Monday at Baptist Convalescent Center, Newport. She was a retired union financial secretary, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Emera chapter. Her husband, Ed L. Norton, died in 1970.

Survivors include a daughter, Betty S. Easley of Sun City West, Ariz.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Highland Cemetery chapel, Ft. Mitchell. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia, is handling arrangements.

Russie Rome Phillips, 70, of Ft. Thomas, died Dec. 22 at St. Luke Hospital East, Ft. Thomas. She was a retired waitress.

Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Marseglia of Angier, N.C.; a son, Dan Owens of Lynchburg, Va.; a sister, Barbara Freeman of Goshen, Ohio; brothers, Garland Owens of Parkers Lake, Silas Owens of Cincinnati and Hersheil Owens of Amelia, Ohio; and one grandchild.

Services were held at the convenience of the family. Burial was in Goshen Cemetery, Goshen, Ohio. Radel Funeral Home, Newport, handled arrangements.

Carolyn Janine Reed, 67, of Villa Hills, died at 5:57 p.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was retired from Union Savings and Loan, Covington, where she was a former vice president. She also was a retired manager for First Federal Savings and Loan, Covington, and a member of Ft. Mitchell Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas P. Reed; a daughter, Brenda Neeley of Villa Hills; her mother, Edith Schrecengost of Taylor Mill; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ft. Mitchell Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Allison and Rose Funeral Home, Taylor Mill, and from 10 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger. Memorials are suggested to Ft. Mitchell Baptist Church, 2323 Dixie Highway, Ft. Mitchell, 41017.

Survivors include her mother, Eleanor Smith of Erlanger; brothers, Terry Smith of Covington and Cris Smith of Independence; and sisters, Diana McNabb of Villa Hills, Donna McCullen of St. Louis and Melissa Love of Ft. Wayne, Ind.

Devon Lee Michael Strange Stroude, died at 2:07 p.m. Saturday shortly after being born at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.
