Edgar L. "Goody" Whitson, 80, of Cincinnati, died Sunday at Franciscan Hospital, Cincinnati. He was a retired employee of Fisher Beverage Co. and was a World War II Army veteran. He also was a member of Hinton United Methodist Church, Hinton, and the Disabled American Veterans.

Survivors include his wife, Vivian Whitson; a son, Andrew T. Whitson of Cincinnati; daughters, Patricia Vollhardt, Linda Bolt and Carol Floyd of Cincinnati; sisters, Katherine Williamson of Covington and Mary Ann Knauper of Batavia, Ohio; and 10 grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Rogers Funeral Home, Corinth. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Raven Creek Cemetery, Harrison County.

Vincent Albers, Meals on Wheels helper

Vincent T. Albers Sr. of Covington didn't drive but he helped deliver food to senior citizens in the Meals on Wheels program.

Mr. Albers, 81, walked to Northern Kentucky Senior Citizens, picked up the meals and delivered them to Panorama Senior Citizens Apartments in Covington, where he lived with his wife for 14 years.

"He was always willing to help people," Mary Ann Albers. "He was always willing to do whatever he could."

Mr. Albers, 81, died at 9:40 a.m. Monday at Harrison House, Cincinnati. He was a retired maintenance supply clerk with the Internal Revenue Service, and a former forklift operator with Trailmobile, Cincinnati.

Mr. Albers was a member of St. Henry Tri-City Seniors, St. Bernard Happy 55 Club, Senior Citizens of Northern Kentucky and the POPR Club of Panorama Apartments, Covington. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Mr. Albers also enjoyed fishing. He and wife were married for 55 years.

"He was the best man on earth," Mrs. Albers said. "He was a good father."

Besides his wife, other survivors include a son, Vincent Albers Jr. of Erlanger; daughters, Carolyn Whitehead of Erlanger and Joyce Brown of Florence; a sister, Lorraine Grout of Latonia; and 13 grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 12:05 p.m. Friday at Mother of God Church, Covington. Visitation will begin there at 10:30 a.m. Friday. Cremation will be at Hillside Chapel, Cincinnati.

Memorials are suggested to St. John Church, 627 Pike St., Covington, Ky. 41011. Linnemann Funeral Home, Covington, is handling arrangements.

William T. Bahring Sr., 78, of Erlanger, died Saturday at West Jersey Medical Center in Marlton, N.J. He was a retired aircraft mechanic.

Survivors include his wife, Alice Bahring; sons, William Bahring Jr. of Villa Hills and John Bahring of Sterling, Va.; daughters, Mary Bahring of Medford, N.J., Nancy Bahring of Somerspoint, N.J., and Beth Dusha of Glen Este, Ohio; sisters, Anna Bahring of San Diego, Katherine Trembley of Newark, N.J., and Vera Pelka of Wharton, N.J.; six grandchildren and two great- grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Linnemann Funeral Home, Erlanger. Visitation will begin there at 9 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger. Memorials are suggested to the charity of donor's choice.

Lois Boss, 82, of Ft. Mitchell, died at 11:15 p.m. Monday at Columbia Health Care Center, Cincinnati. She was a homemaker and a member of Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption, Covington.

Survivors include a son, Bob Boss of Ft. Thomas; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Therese Church, Southgate. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, Ludlow. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.

Marion Crowe, 90, of Midway, died Tuesday at Taylor Manor Nursing Home, Versailles. He was a retired assistant superintendent of the Woodford County School System in Versailles, and a member of the Midway Presbyterian Church.

He was a former principal of Sadieville Elementary School, and a basketball coach at Crittenden and Oxford high schools in Kentucky.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Martin Crowe; daughters, Betty J. Harman of Lexington, Frankie Sams-Nosworthy of Cocoa Beach, Fla., and Billie Lucas of Midway; sisters, Genevieve Lewis of Wichita, Kan., Eva Horwitz of Cincinnati and Emily Black of Tampa, Fla.; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Duell-Clark Funeral Home, Versailles, and from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge.

Memorials are suggested to the Woodford County Hospice, or the Midway Presbyterian Church, both in care of Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, P. O. Box 130, Williamstown, Ky. 41097.

Donald Lee Deglow, 67, of Glasgow, formerly of Kenton County, died Monday at T. J. Samson Community Hospital, Glasgow.

Ambrose Feldmann, 87, of Ft. Mitchell, died at 7:26 p.m. Saturday at Shady Grove Hospital in Rockville, Md. He was a retired independent contractor and a beekeeper. He was a member of the American Beekeepers Association.

Survivors include his wife, Reva Martin Feldmann; sons, Raymond Feldmann of Highland Heights and John Feldmann of Camp Springs; a daughter, Frances Johnson-Feldmann of Rockville, Md.; and seven grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Blessed Sacrament Church, Ft. Mitchell. Visitation will begin there at 11 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday in St. Joseph Cemetery, Wilder. Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Church, P. O. Box 225, Melbourne, Ky. 41059. Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Erlanger, is handling arrangements.

Florine Askins Fields, 84, of Cincinnati, formerly of Brooksville, died Monday at Blue Ash Nursing Home in Cincinnati. She was a cushion assembler with General Motors in Norwood, Ohio, and a member of Norwood Baptist Church. Her husband, Raymond Fields, died in 1962. A son, Robert Fields, died in 1973.

Survivors include a son, Barry Fields of Cincinnati; sisters, Christine Moorhead of Brooksville and Donna Askins of Milford; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Moore and Parker Funeral Home, Brooksville. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Powersville Cemetery, Brooksville. Memorials are suggested to Alzheimers Research Center, 231 Bethesda Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio 45229.

Roy Lee Goins, 67, of LaFollette, Tenn., formerly of Hebron, died Dec. 25 in LaFollette. He was an employee of Henkels & McCoy, Cincinnati.

Survivors include daughters, Brenda Kimmich and Paula Lutz, both of Burlington; brothers, Burnett "Smiley" Goins of LaFollette, Tenn., James Thomas "J. T." Goins of Hepzibah, Ga., and Wade "Bud" Goins of Oliver Springs, Tenn.; sisters, Nina Hatfield, Pearl Lynch, Betty Parker and Fleda "Tootsie" Krywy, all of LaFollette; and two grandchildren.

Services were Saturday at Martin Funeral Home in LaFollette. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, LaFollette.

Eileen Kendrick, 64, of Florence, died Sunday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. She was a member of the First Church of Christ, Burlington.

Survivors include a brother, Bobby Lee Kendrick of Eaton, Ohio; and a sister, Jane Kendrick Washnock of Florence.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger. Memorials are suggested to First Church of Christ, 6080 Camp Ernst Road, Burlington, 41005. Linnemann Funeral Home, Burlington, is handling arrangements.

Verna Marie Parrish, 70, of Gwinn, Mich., died Saturday at her daughter's home in Gwinn. She was a retired apartment manager.

Survivors include daughters, Gerri Neely of Gwinn, Mich., Pam Watson and Vivian Unthank, both of Cincinnati, Pat Richardson of Eaton, Ohio, and Brenda Rogers of Regent, N.D.; sons, Delbert Johnson of Flemingsburg and Dennis Johnson of Madison, Wis.; sisters, Evelyn Kuntz of Chandler, Ariz., and Esther Bingham of Gwinn, Mich.; brothers, Daniel McMillie of Escanaba, Mich., Buck McMillie of El Paso, Texas , David McMillie of Wisconsin Dells, Wis.; 26 grandchildren and 16 great- grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Radel Funeral Home, Newport. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate.

Margaret E. Roettger, 84, of Highland Heights, died at 6:25 p.m. Monday at St. Luke Hospital East, Ft. Thomas. She was a retired billing clerk for F. H. Lawson Co., Cincinnati, and a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Newport. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Highland Heights Volunteer Fire Department. Her husband, Charles W. Roettger Jr., died in 1984.

Survivors include a daughter, Marlene Gemmer of Highland Heights; a son, Charles W. Roettger III of Highland Heights; sisters, Irene Krebs of Delhi, Ohio, and Marcella Arkenau of Alexandria; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Amanda L. Smith, 87, of Turners Station, died Tuesday at her home. She was a homemaker and a member of Dean Memorial United Methodist Church, Worthville. Her husband, Jesse D. Smith, preceded her in death as did her sons, Donald Wayne Smith, Orvan Smith and Howard Smith.

Survivors include daughters, Loetta Helm of Milton, Grace Banks and Janie Smith, both of Milton; sons, Wilbert Lee Smith of Bedford, Elmer Smith of Carrollton, and Roger Smith and Edward Smith, both of Turners Station; a sister, Roberta Hawkins of Carrollton; 20 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, Carrollton. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in English Cemetery, Carroll County.

Survivors include daughters, Jane Davis and Ruth Andrews, both of Cincinnati; a son, Walter Stansberry Jr. of Tampa, Fla.; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
