Kathryn Diann Bartlett

Kathryn Diann Bartlett, 64, of Livermore, formerly of Owensboro, died Monday, Nov. 29, 2004, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born Daviess County and was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Bartlett Jr. in 2002; her father, the Rev. William Edward Cline in 2003; her stepgranddaughter, Carrie Smith in 2002; and her brother, Billy Cline in 1943. She retired from Owensboro-Daviess County Hospital after 13 years as a nursing assistant and was known as "Aunt B" to all at the hospial. She was a member of Island Church of God of Prophecy. She enjoys singing, playing the piano, gospel music as well as doing crafts.

Survivors include her daughter, Brenda L. and husband Johnny Willis of Livermore; a stepson, Michael Wayne Bartlett of Owensboro; her mother, Nellie Estes of Livermore; four brothers, Eddie Cline of Livermore, Donnie and wife Connie Cline of Livermore, Bobby and Terry Cline of Whitesville and Larry Cline of Silver Creek, Ga.; two sisters, Nancy and husband Donnie Wallace of Rome, Ga., and Shirley Wilson of Seminole, Fla.; she has three stepgrandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 3, 2004, at James H. Davis Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Rosehill cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, and after 9 a.m. on Friday at James H. Davis Funeral Home.

Ruth Saunders Roberts

Ruth Saunders Roberts, 85, of 2501 E. Cloverdale Drive, Owensboro, passed away Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, at Leisure Years Nursing Home. She was born in Hancock County. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed bingo and playing cards. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James T. Roberts, in 1956, her second husband, William Yates, in 1978, and her last husband, Charles Roberts, in 1986.

She is survived by her son and his wife, James E. and Judy Roberts Sr. of Hartford; four grandchildren, Virginia Crouch, James E. Roberts Jr., Bobby Roberts and Glenita Roberts, all of Hartford; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, at Glenn Funeral Home chapel, with burial following in Lewisport cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Julian Dakota Wooldridge

Julian Dakota Wooldridge, 1-month-old son of Jason and Monica Wooldridge of Owensboro, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004, at Owensboro Medical Health System.

Survivors include a brother, Jason Wooldridge II; his maternal grandmother, Carole and her husband, Bill Crossley, of Owensboro; his maternal grandfather, William and his wife, Cathy Bickett, of Owensboro; his paternal grandmother, Donna Bellew of Owensboro; his paternal grandfather, David and his wife, Kathy Wooldridge, of Utica; his maternal great-grandmother, Mary Bickett of Owensboro; his paternal great-grandparents, Melody and her husband, Dempsey Farmer, of Owensboro, Brenda Jackson of Owensboro and Paul Wooldridge of Owensboro; his paternal great-great-grandmother, Mildred and her husband, Hobert Bolin, of Owensboro; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today at St. Anthony's cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today at Glenn Funeral Home.

Mary E. Parrott

LOUISVILLE - Mary E. Parrott, 75, of Louisville, formerly of Central City, died at 5 a.m., Friday, Dec. 3, 2004, at Meadow East Nursing Home in Louisville. She was born in Rome, Miss., on Feb. 2, 1929, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Central City. She was preceded in death by her husband, James William Parrott; and a daughter, Elouise Gordon France.

Survivors include a daughter, Sue Smith of Louisville; three grandchildren, Brian Smith of San Diego, Bradley Smith of Louisville and Christine Smith of Fayetteville, N.C.; and three brothers, George Clark of Central City, James L. Clark of Stark, Fla., and William Frank Smith of Owensboro.

Services are at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 6, at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with the Rev. W.R. Cook officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount cemetery in Central City. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, at the funeral home.

Emma Jean Hall Page

Emma Jean Hall Page, 77, of 2777 McFarland Ave., Owensboro died at 12:55 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29, 2004, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born May 23, 1927, in Ohio County to the Rev. Press Hall and Zelma Farmer Hall and retired from General Electric Part Department after 42 years. She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church and enjoyed crafts at Elizabeth Munday Center and quilting.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Charles Page; a daughter, Mary Anne Page of Owensboro; a brother, Ellis Hall of Owensboro; and two sisters, Martine McCrady of Owensboro and Irene Schuldt of Frankfort, Ill.

Services are at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Hall officiating. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Haley-McGinnis Funeral Home. The family wishes that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice and Palliative Care of the Ohio Valley Memorial Fund, 723 Harvard Drive, Owensboro, KY 42301-9979.

CENTRAL CITY - Debra Lynn Murphy, 42, of 4020 Highway 62, Central City died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2004. She was born Dec. 17, 1961, in Muhlenberg County and was a shipping and receiving clerk at Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Hopkinsville. She was a member of Green River Chapel General Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Mick Murphy of Clarksville, Tenn.; three sons, Mike Murphy, John Murphy and Chad Adler, all of Central City; six grandchildren, Hunter Adler, Katlyn Murphy, Harlee Murphy, Kailey Adler, Emily Murphy and Hayden Adler; four brothers, Tommy Wilson of Greenville, Leroy Wilson and Charles Wilson, both of Central City, and Roger Wilson of Poseyville, Ind.; and four sisters, Peggy Sallee of Boonville, Ind., Mildred Woerter of Evansville, Betty O'Bannon of Central City and Donna Fortney of Bowling Green.

Services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with the Rev. Curtis McGehee officiating. Burial will be in Nelson Creek cemetery. Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at Tucker Funeral Home.

Weldon Wade Harper

DUNMOR - Weldon Wade Harper, 73, of Dunmor died Friday, Dec. 3, 2004, at home. He worked for a construction company as a carpenter and was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia (Cottrell) Harper; two daughters, Charlotte DeArmond and Donna Harris; four sons, Danny Harper, Ricky Harper, Steven Harper and Jason Harper; three stepdaughters, Cathy Whitescarver, Debbie Harper and Linda Kitchen; two sisters, Ruby Hayes and Anita Gardner; and two brothers, Don Harper and Neal Harper.

Services: 2 p.m. Monday at Price Funeral Home in Lewisburg. Burial: Gardner cemetery in Dunmor. Visitation: After 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Brenda Lois Allen Walden

GREENVILLE - Brenda Lois Allen Walden, 85, of 2105 State Route 973, Greenville, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2004, at 9:20 a.m. at her home after a short illness. She was born Oct. 1, 1919, in Adairville the daughter of William Vester Allen and Sally Gertrude Rigsby Allen. She was a member of the Willow Glen Church of Christ in Powderly. She was a homemaker and housewife and was preceded in death by her husband, John William Walden in 1994; and a son, Wendell Walden.

She is survived by a son, Randol (Pat) Walden of North Judson, Ind.; four daughters, Peggy (Charles) Barton of McKenzie, Tenn., Marilyn (Jack) Stafford of West Palm Beach, Fla., Ann (Roger) Dukes of Greenville and Brenda (Barry) Norvell of Valparaiso, Ind.; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sarah Cobb of Adairville.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 7 p.m. from Gary's Funeral Home in Greenville by Mr. Jimmie Jenkins. Committal services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at Graceland cemetery in Valparaiso, Ind. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday at Gary's Funeral Home in Greenville.

Charles Johnson Jr.

Charles Johnson Jr., 70, of Owensboro died Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, at Leisure Years Nursing Home.

Survivors include four sons, Roy Johnson, Gene Johnson, Michael Johnson and Charles Johnson; a daughter, Mary Rose Fitzgerald; three stepsons, Bradley, Bill and Larry Howard; and a stepdaughter, Edna Howard.

Services: Noon Friday at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg. Burial: Hensley cemetery near Garfield. Visitation: After 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mary Ernestine Hamilton Barr
11/28/2004

Ernestine Barr died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, at her home in Owensboro after a long illness. She was born in Daviess County on Dec. 25, 1930, to parents Ernest and Henrietta Hamilton, who preceded her in death. Her brothers, Patrick, Wilfred and Robert Hamilton, also preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Herman Barr; three brothers, Paul Hamilton of Madisonville and Lawrence and Frank Hamilton of Owensboro; and a sister, Margie Ashworth, also of Owensboro. Her life story is continued in three sons, Jim and his wife, Barbara Barr, David L. Barr and H. Joseph Barr, all of Owensboro; four daughters, Joanne and husband George Stephens and Barbara and husband Charlie Daugherty, all of Owensboro, Kay and husband Gary Montgomery of Lexington and Mary Lou and husband Harry Baumgarten IV of San Antonio; 21 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Ernestine was instrumental in the development of the Cursillo movement in Owensboro, an active member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church in Owensboro for more than 50 years and volunteered for many years in the RCIA and Landings programs. Her greatest joys were sharing and celebrating her Catholic faith and spending time with family and friends.

Herman and children invite you to share memories of Ernestine in visitation at James H. Davis Funeral Home on Monday, Nov. 29, from 2 to 8 p.m. with prayers at 7 p.m. The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be made to Hospice Association Inc. Her memorial Mass of resurrection will be celebrated at Blessed Mother Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Her final resting place will be at St. Anthony cemetery in Browns Valley.
