Alberta L. Alford, 68, of Highland Heights, died at 5:10 p.m. Tuesday at St. Luke Hospital East, Ft. Thomas. She was a former employee of Empress Chili, Highland Heights, and J.D. Lanes (Southern Lanes), Alexandria. She was a member of Alexandria United Methodist Church and was a former president of the PTA at Alexandria Elementary School.
Survivors include her husband, William C. Alford; sons, James L. Alford of Ft. Mitchell and Daniel H. Alford of Fredericksburg, Va.; a daughter, Peggy Hillner of Alexandria; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Alexandria Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of services Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Alexandria Cemetery. Robert A. Baute, 69, of Park Hills, died at 4 a.m. Tuesday at his home. He was a retired manager with Sullivan Printing Works, Cincinnati, and a veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include sisters, Irene Baute and Mary Reed, both of Park Hills; and half-brothers, Tom Grefer of Bellevue and Larry Grefer of Park Hills.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Agnes Church, Ft. Wright. Visitation will be from 10 to 12:30 p.m. Friday at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Covington. Anna Bertha Payne Brown, 79, of Crittenden, died at 4:57 p.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a member of Roanoke Christian Church, and attended Sherman Church of Christ, Grant County. Her husband, Raymond Kenneth Brown, died in 1982.
Survivors include sons, Edward E. Brown of Crittenden and Joseph R. Brown of Berry; a daughter, Janice Sponcil of Crittenden; sisters, Agnes Hume and Louise White , both of Culpepper, Va.; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Corinth.

Melvin Brumback, 84, of Williamstown, died Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center Grant County in Williamstown. He was a former valve tester with William Powell Valve Co.,
Cincinnati, and a member of Williamstown United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a sister, Shirley Chipman of Williamstown.

Christine Clemons, 86, of Latonia, died Monday at Rosedale Manor Nursing Home, Covington. She was a retired supervisor with Mack Shirt Factory.
Survivors include daughters, Mary Crossfield of Salvisa and Edith Snedicor of Loveland, Ohio; eight grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Jenny Lou Berry Cooper, 49, of Mt. Olivet, died Tuesday at her home. She was an employee of Jockey International Inc. A son, Jason Ray Cooper, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Larry R. Cooper; a son, Robby Allen Cooper of Mt. Olivet; a brother, Adrian Berry of Detroit; a sister, Rebecca Reed of Mt. Olivet; and two grandchildren.

Amelia E. Hegener, 90, of Covington, died at 11:05 a.m. Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North, Covington. She was a retired manager with Martin's Town and Country Fashions, Newport. Her husband, Casper F. Hegener, died in 1953.
Survivors include nieces, Grace Glass and Dorothy Scales, both of Covington, and Marie Adamson of Florence; and nephews, Ralph Suedkamp, Charles Suedkamp, Joe Suedkamp, Bob Suedkamp and Jack Ford, all of Covington.

William W. Hoffman, 65, of Florence, died at 2 p.m. Sunday at University Hospital, Cincinnati. He was a retired plastics chemist with IBM Corp., Boulder, Colo., and a member of Madison Avenue Christian Church. He was a member of genealogy clubs in Independence, Lexington and Frankfort, and published genealogy books. He received honors from the Kentucky Genealogy Society. He also was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha and Alpha Chi Sigma chemical honor societies, and was an Army veteran of the Vietname War.
Survivors include his wife, M. Barbara Hoffman of LaFayette, Colo.; daughters, Lucinda Parker of Florence and Katherine Schmidt of Lexington; his mother, Adah Dixon Hoffman of Florence; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery. Allison and Rose Funeral Home, Covington, is handling arrangements.

Gertrude F. Kells, 90, of Ft. Mitchell, died Monday at St. Charles Care Center, Ft. Wright. She was a homemaker and a member of Blessed Sacrament Church Altar Society. Her husband, C. Raymond Kells, died in 1988.
Survivors include a sister, Ann Clark of Park Hills.

William F. Kemper, 84, of Ft. Thomas, died Monday at Highlands of Ft. Thomas. He was a retired public employee with City of Ft. Thomas. His wife, Minnie Kemper, died in 1962.

Lucille Browning King, 84, of Bracken County, died Tuesday at Maysville Extended Care Center. She was a homemaker and a member of Oakland Christian Church, Pendleton County. Her husband, Elmo King, preceded her in death.

Johanna M. Niemeyer, 99, of Southgate, died Friday at St. Luke Hospital East, Ft. Thomas. She was a sales clerk with Hills Seed Co., Covington, and an employee of the Latonia Springs Dairy. She was a member of St. Therese Church, Southgate, and was a Gold Star Mother. Her husband, William H. Niemeyer, died in 1974. A son, William F. Niemeyer, died in 1945.
Survivors include a son, Edward Niemeyer of Cold Spring; half-sisters, Antoinette Thaman of Burlington and Margaret Linder of Middletown, Ohio; seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Vonnie Louise Woodson Sharpe, 89, of Richmond, formerly of Covington, died Jan. 5 in Richmond. She was a former employee of Pogue's Department Store, Cincinnati, and a member of the Covington Art Club. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, Colonial Dames, Republican Women and Senior Citizens groups.
Survivors include a son, Jonothan Woodson Sharpe of Palm Springs, Calif.; daughters, Sandra Connor of Richmond and Barbara Lujan of Beaumont, Texas ; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
