Nelah Moore Whiteker Clifford, 87, of Sunrise, died Wednesday at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Cynthiana. She was a homemaker, a member of Richland Baptist Church and a charter member of the Sunrise Homemakers Club.

Her husband, Emmett Glenn Clifford; a son, Shirley Kenneth Clifford; and a daughter, Doris C. Florence, all preceded her in death.

Survivors include sons, Ernest L. Clifford, Sherrill G. Clifford and Charles Rogan Clifford, all of Harrison County; a daughter, Gaye C. Marsh of Cynthiana; sisters, Juanita W. Gillon of Cynthiana, Mable W. Cook of Wenatchee, Wash., and Eula W. Lawrence of Corbin; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ware Funeral Home, Cynthiana. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunrise Cemetery, Harrison County.

Memorials are suggested to Sunrise Cemetery Fund, in care of Ben Clifford, Rural Route 2, Box 234, Cynthiana, Ky. 41031; Richland Baptist Church, in care of Joyce Clifford, Rural Route 2, Box 260, Cynthiana, Ky. 41031.

Orvan "Curly" Forsyth, 72, of Covington, died at 5:30 p.m. Monday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. He was a pipe fitter with Newport Steel Co. in Wilder, and a member of Newport No. 358 F&AM in Newport and Indra Consistory Valley of Covington Scottish Rite. He was an Army veteran of World War II. His wife, JoAnn Forsyth, died May 31. A son, Ron Forsyth, preceded him in death.

Survivors include sons, Tim Forsyth of Covington, Melvin Forsyth of Hebron and Gary Forsyth of Newport; daughters, Debra Forsyth Ketcham of Ryland Heights and Sandra Forsyth Griffith of Kenton County; a brother, Melvin Forsyth of Taylor Mill; sisters, Alberta Porter of Florence and Marylee Parrish of Newport; 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Cooper Funeral Home, Grants Lick. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate.

Marie E. Ramsey, 78, of Port Charlotte, Fla., formerly of Crestview, died Monday at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte. She was a homemaker, former president of the Ladies Elk Lodge in Newport and a volunteer with Holly Hill Orphanage, Cold Spring.

Survivors include a son, Michael Ramey of Melbourne; a daughter, Carol Haynes of Lake Panasoffkee, Fla.; sistes, Glenna Dammert of Port Charlotte, Martha Boles of Chapel Hill, N.C., and Shirley Dietrich of Cold Spring; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 9 a.m. Monday at Charlotte Memorial Gardens, Punta Gorda, Fla. Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, Punta Gorda, is handling arrangements.

James Oneal "J.R." Robertson, 64, of San Antonio, formerly of Burlington, died July 14 in San Antonio. He was a retired air traffic controller.

Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Robertson; a daughter, Tracey Robertson of Arlington, Texas ; sons, James Bradford Robertson of Denton, Texas , James D. Robertson, Ronald K. Robertson and David Troy Robertson, all of San Antonio; brothers, David G. Robertson of Richwood and Roy Eugene Robertson of Las Vegas; sisters, Barbara Pope of Independence and Janice Houston of Walton; seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Services will be at 1 p.m. CDT Friday at Sunset Funeral Home, San Antonio. Visitation will begin there at noon Friday. Burial will be in Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio.

Louise Sanders, 85, of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., formerly of Newport, died Tuesday at Oceanview Nursing Home in New Smyrna Beach. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a son, George Sanders of Edgewater, Fla.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate. Radel Funeral Home, Newport, is handling arrangements.

Virginia Laura Terlau, 83, of Erlanger, died Tuesday at her home. She was a homemaker and a member of Mary Queen of Heaven Church, Erlanger.

Survivors include her husband, John "Jack" Terlau; daughters, Jacque Kosper and Mary Maley, both of Union, and Judy Wilson of Florence; sons, Dan Terlau, Tony Terlau and John Terlau Jr., all of Union; brothers, George Toerner of Cincinnati and Louis Toerner of Covington; sisters, Rose Toerner and Sister Melita Toerner, both of Cincinnati; 31 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Memorial mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mary Queen of Heaven Church. Mrs. Terlau's body has been donated to the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Northern Kentucky, 1403 Alexandria Pike, Fort Thomas, Ky. 41075. Stith Funeral Home, Florence, is handling arrangements.

Maude E. Turner, 97, of Milford, died Tuesday at Harrison Memorial Hospital, Cynthiana. She was a homemaker and a member of Milford Christian Church. Her husband, Nim Andrew Turner, died in 1983.

Survivors include sons, Lowell "Bud" Turner of Sacramento, Calif., and Carroll Turner of Cynthiana; daughters, Marjorie Godman of Milford, Jean Marsh of Tampa, Fla., Ruth Penrod of Dayton, Ohio, and Charlotte Fulmer of Slippery Rock, Pa.; 24 grandchildren and one great- grandchild.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Moore and Parker Funeral Home, Brooksville. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Bracken Memorial Cemetery, Brooksville. Memorials are suggested to Milford Christian Church, Milford, Ky. 41061; or donor's choice.

Frank Whitsitt, 44, of Erlanger, died July 7 at University Hospital, Cincinnati. He was a machine operator with S.S.E. Manufacturing and Sabatasso Foods Inc. in Boone County, and an Army veteran. Services will be at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence. Burial will be in Hopeful Lutheran Cemetery, Florence.

Florence's Charles Brady, "best friend' to his family

Charles C. J. Brady, of Florence, was a caring person, who loved being around children.

"I can remember when we were growing up, he would gather up the neighborhood kids and go to Florence Elementary School to play baseball," said a son, Charles Joseph Brady Jr. of Florence. "He cared about us and our friends."

Mr. Brady, 70, died Wednes day at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. He was a district sales manager with International Harvester, a member of St. Paul Church in Florence, and an Army veteran of World War II. His wife, Betsy Lee Brady, died in 1991.

Mr. Brady enjoyed fishing and always had a fish story to tell, his son said. He also was a person who loved to tell jokes. "He was a colorful person."

The younger Brady said his father, who also spent a lot of time with his grandchildren, was a lot of fun.

"He was my best friend," the son said.

Other survivors include another son, Claude William Brady of Erlanger; daughters, Peggy Sue Spears and Rita Marie Tanner, both of Wal ton; a sister, Alice M. Brady of Cincinnati; a brother, James Brady of Connersville, Ind.; and 10 grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Church. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Stith Funeral Home, Florence. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Ceme tery, Erlanger. Memorials are suggested to American Diabetes. Association, 721 W. Main St., Louisville, Ky., 40202.

Eulis Oakley Felts, 70, of Winchester, formerly of Covington, died at 12:40 a.m. Thursday in his home. He was a retired supervisor with CSX Corp., and a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Fayette County and Bradford Lodge 123 F&AM in Independence.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Clark Felts; daughters, Dianna Lynn Lozier and Darla Gayle Hamilton, both of Win chester, and Gerri Lee Miller of Somerset; a son, Thomas Grego ry Felts of Winchester; a sister, two brothers, 12 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Services will be at 1 p.m. Sat urday at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Fayette County. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. to day at Scobee Funeral Home, Winchester. Burial will be in Winchester Cemetery.

Helen Hisle, 82, of Cynthiana, died Thursday at Edgemont Manor Nursing Home, Cyn thiana. She was a homemaker and a member of Central Chris tian Church, Cynthiana. Her husband, Dee T. Hisle, and a daughter, Janis Myers, both pre ceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Larry Hisle of Harrison County; daughters, Bonnie Stith and Di ana Hisle, both of Cynthiana, and Phyllis Fuller of Millers burg; brothers, David Mattox of Cynthiana and Paul Mattox of Omaha, Neb.; a sister, Pauline Fuller of Lexington; seven grand children and a great-grandson.

Nancy J. Hopkins, 58, of Newport, died Wednesday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thom as. She was a homemaker and a member of Corpus Christi Church, Newport.

Survivors include sons, Ed ward Bell Jr. of Cincinnati and Joe Bell of Englewood, Fla.; a daughter, Terri Walls of Wisconsin; sisters, Juanita Schuster and Thelma Dunn, both of Winchester, Ohio, Nor ma Burgess of Hamilton, Ohio, Ruby Jackson of Pleasant Plains, Ohio, and Patricia Clemmons of Murphy, N.C.; and two grand children.

Services are at 1 p.m. today at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home, Carlisle. Burial will be in Car lisle Cemetery.

Arley Kuntz, 69, of Bellevue, died at 7:55 a.m. July 9 at Salem Park Nursing Home, Cincinnati. Mr. Kuntz retired from the U. S. Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include a daughter, Sue Horton of Charlotte, N.C.; sons, Clyde Daniel Kuntz and Richard Leslie Kuntz, both of Charlotte; sisters, Betty Warner of Missouri, Helen Kendall of Lawrenceburg, Ind., and Barbara Worthington of Newport; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be at the convenience of the family. Dobbling Funeral Home, Bellevue, is handling arrangements.

Survivors include sons, Tim Adams of Cincinnati and Terry Adams and Tedd Adams, both of Covington; brothers, Victor Tibbs and Lester Tibbs, both of Columbus, Ohio; sisters, Eula Norman, Cynthia Chiffin and Kathy Miller, all of Columbus, and Mary McAllister of Lucas, Ohio; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Services will be at 8 p.m. Sunday at Don Catchen and Son Funeral Home, Covington. Visitation will begin there at 6 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate.

Joseph Schumacher, 91, of Bellevue, died at 12:40 a.m. Wednesday at St. Luke Hospital East, Ft. Thomas.

His wife, Loretta Schumacher, died in 1991.

He was a retired carpenter. He was also a member of Sacred Heart Church, Bellevue, the St. Vincent DePaul Society, Holy Name Society, United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local 698.

Survivors include a son, Roy Schumacher of Cincinnati; a daughter, Janet Beasley of Miami, Fla.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Church, Bellevue. Visitation will be tonight from 5 to 8 p.m. at Dobbling Funeral Home, Bellevue. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery, Ft. Thomas.
