David J. Bens, 60, of Elsmere, died 7:43 p.m. Saturday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. He was a salesman with the AAA and an Army veteran. A son, Brian Bens, died in 1987.

Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Bolte of Burlington; sisters, Carol Werrman of Oregon and Lorain Mann of California; brothers, Donald Bens of Elsmere, Paul Bens of Fort Mitchell, Robert Bens and George Bens, both of Cincinnati; and two grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Mary Queen of Heaven Church, Erlanger. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at Stith Funeral Home, Florence. Burial will be in Mother of God Cemetery, Fort Wright. Memorials are suggested to Mary Queen of Heaven Church Building Fund, 1150 Donaldson Highway, Erlanger, Ky., 41018.

Linda Byrne, 37, of Erlanger, died at 9:11 p.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a machine operator with Fidelity Investments, Cincinnati, and a member of Ludlow Baptist Church. She was a member of the Royal Construction softball team.

Survivors include her husband, John Byrne; a son, Dan Trumble Jr. of Erlanger; her parents, Harry Gene and Peggy Newby if Florence; and sisters, Virgie Love of Erlanger and Phyllis Newby of Florence.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Stith Funeral Home, Florence. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger.

George Edward Connett Sr., 90, of Fort Thomas, died Saturday at Carmel Manor Nursing Home in Fort Thomas. He was a plumber and a former Bellevue volunteer firefighter and city council member. He was a member of Plumbers and Gas Fitters Union Local 59, Cincinnati. His wife, Alma Connett; a son, Raymond Connett; and a daughter, Rosemary Connett, all preceded him in death.

Survivors include a son, George E. Connett Jr. of San Diego; daughters, Joyce Ann Cook and Thelma Doerflein, both of Cincinnati; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Carmel Manor Nursing Home. Visitation will begin there at noon Tuesday. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery, Fort Thomas. Memorials are suggested to Carmel Manor Nursing Home, 100 Carmel Manor Road, Fort Thomas, Ky., 41075. Dobbling Funeral Home, Bellevue, is handling arrangements.

Florence K. Davis, 80, of Germantown, died Friday at Samaritan Hospital, Lexington. She was a homemaker, a farmer and a member of Germantown United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Estill Davis; sons, Larry Davis of Brooksville and Phillip "Pete" Davis of West Union, Ohio; a daughter, Donna Gifford of Aberdeen, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Germantown United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Germantown. Memorials are suggested to Germantown United Methodist Church, Germantown, Ky., 41044. Palmer Funeral Home, Germantown, is handling arrangements.

Marguerite Draper, 93, of Latonia, died at 12:10 a.m. Sunday at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, Covington.

Dillard L. Duvall, 72, of Owenton, died at 5:14 p.m. Thursday at Owen County Memorial Hospital, Owenton. He was a farmer and a member of Glencoe Baptist Church.

Survivors include sisters, Grace Cook of New Albany, Ind., and Hattie L. Holder, Irma Anderson and Lois Towles, all of Glencoe; and brothers, Clinton Duvall and Marvin Duvall, both of Frankfort, Jay Duvall of Stamping Ground and Bill Duvall of Sparta.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Rogers Funeral Home, Owenton. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Cecil Gould, 65, of Sanders, died at 1:48 a.m. Saturday at Carroll County Memorial Hospital, Carrollton. He was a member of Sanders Christian Church.

Survivors include brothers, James Gould of Florence, Lawrence Gould of Crittenden and Ben Gould of Sanders; a half-brother, Charles Williams Lilly of Augusta; sisters, Mollie Colston of Walton, Lula Moore of Petersburg and Georgia Embree of Carrollton.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, Verona. Visitation will begin there at noon Tuesday. Burial will be in Rice Cemetery, Union.

Harry B. Grimme, 75, of Walton, died at 11:17 p.m. Friday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. He was chief executive officer of Commercial Specialists Inc. in Cincinnati, a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Florence, and an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Williams Grimme; sons, Randal Grimme of Fort Mitchell and Ronald Grimme of Union; daughters, Cathy Hanrahan Independence and Cindy Carlotta of Fort Mitchell; a brother, Bill Grimme of Cincinnati; a sister, Doris Liebert of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; and nine grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Episcopal Church. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Stith Funeral Home, Florence. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill. Memorials are suggested to Grace Episcopal Church Building Fund.

Geneva Hampton, 82, of Maysville, died Friday at Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville. She was a cook with Brown's Restaurant in Aberdeen, Ohio, and a member of Way of Life Church, Maysville. Sons Billy Hampton and Joe Hampton preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Nelson Hampton of Maysville; sisters, Christine Muse and Irene Reed, both of Maysville, and Ethel Arnold of Flemingsburg; three grandchildren, three step- grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Brell and Son Funeral Home, Maysville. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Maysville Cemetery.

Nancy J. Hopkins, 58, of Newport, died Wednesday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. She was a homemaker and a member of Corpus Christi Church, Newport.

Survivors include her husband, Eugene Hopkins; sons, Edward Bell Jr. of Cincinnati and Joe Bell of Englewood, Fla.; a daughter, Terri Walls of Wisconsin; sisters, Juanita Schuster and Thelma Dunn, both of Winchester, Ohio, Norma Burgess of Hamilton, Ohio, Ruby Jackson of Pleasant Plains, Ohio, and Patricia Clemmons of Murphy, N.C.; and two grandchildren.

Jesse Eugene Jones, 63, of Warsaw, died Saturday at his home. He was a nursery worker, formerly employed by Haymond Landscape, and a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church, Grant County.

Survivors include his wife, Grace Yvonne Jones; a daughter, Hazel Viola Stephenson of Warsaw; brothers, Roy Lee Jones of Germany, Charles Malcome Jones of Charleston, S.C., and Chester Ray Jones of Ghent; and sisters, Lou Florence Perkins of Carrollton and Alberta Riddell of Warsaw.

Paul C. Nieman, 81, of Covington, died at 3:20 p.m. Wednesday at Princeton Medical Center, Princeton, N.J. He was a stockman with General Motors, Cincinnati.

Survivors include daughters, Carol Lee Vollmer of Erlanger and Earlene White of Bellevue; a brother, Sidney Griffin of Irvine; a sister, Cora Estepp of Newport; one grandchild and four great-grandchildren.

Charles Edward Pennington, 77, of Warsaw, died Saturday at Green Valley Nursing Center, Carrollton. He was a retired master carpenter, a member of VFW Post 5658 in Elberta, Ala., and a Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include daughters, June Pennington Weiner of Sparta and C. Joan Duncanson of Plymouth, Mich.; a sister, Mary Carden of Warren, Mich.; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Carlton-Lowder Funeral Home, Carrollton. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glencoe Cemetery.

Florence L. Pickrell, 93, of Augusta, died Sunday at her home. She was a member of Sharon Presbyterian Church, Bracken County. Her husband, Marshall Pickrell, died in 1994.

Survivors include sons Donald Pickrell and Paul Pickrell, both of Augusta; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Frank J. Pribble; sons, Frank E. Pribble and Mark J. Pribble, both of Louisville; brothers, Raymond A. Heim of Harrison, Ohio, and Joseph W. Heim of Cincinnati; a sister, Dorothea O. Meyer of Harrison, Ohio; and three grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday St. Cecilia Church, Independence. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:50 a.m. Tuesday at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill. Memorials are suggested to charity of the donor's choice.
