Harold "Beck" Beckham, 73, of Williamstown, died at 5:40 a.m. Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood, after an extended illness. He was a retired fuel-oil driver with Royce Adams Oil Co., Williamstown, and a member of Grant Lodge No. 82 F&AM, Williamstown, and Williamstown Christian Church. His wife, Helen Eibeck Beckham, died in 1997.
Survivors include sons, Teddy Beckham of Williamstown and Tony Beckham of Nicholasville; daughters, Tammy Beckham of Williamstown and Tina Salyers of Fort Riley, Kan.; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, with Masonic services at 7 p.m. Burial will be in Williamstown Cemetery. Catherine Berling Bieber, 90, of Independence, died at 9:37 p.m. Wednesday at her home. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. Herbert F. Bieber of Independence; a son, Gene H. Bieber of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; a daughter, Nancy Chadwick of Independence; sisters, Ruth Berling and Marguerite Spieker, both of Cincinnati, and Thelma Johnson and Teda Stephan, of Sun City, Fla.; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Billie Jean Moss Blackburn, 69, of Cynthiana, died Wednesday at her home. She was a homemaker, a member of Curry United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women, and was a Sunday school teacher. Her husband, Henry Paul Blackburn, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Rodney Paul Blackburn; daughters, Eva Ruth Renaker and Balinda Beth Martin, both of Cynthiana; a brother, Robert L. Moss of Covington; a sister, Jerry Moss Bredenberg of Crittenden; and four grandchildren.

Caroline L. Duarte, 93, of Ludlow, died Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North, Covington. She was a retired housekeeper with St. Ann Church, West Covington.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Ezra Wells Florence, 101, of Cynthiana, died Thursday at Grand Haven Nursing Home. He was a retired farmer and a member of Salem Church of Christ. His wife, Mary Geoghegan Florence, preceded him in death.
Survivors include a son, Harold Rees Florence; a daughter, Dorothy Slade of Harrison County; a brother, Robert E. Florence Jr. of Harrison County; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.

Lawrence Richard Maddin, 78, of Walton, died Wednesday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. He was a farmer, a member of All Saints Church in Walton, and a Navy veteran. A son, James Eugene Maddin, died in 1974.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Day Maddin; a son, Daniel Joseph Maddin of Royse City, Texas ; a daughter, Betty Merida of Verona; sisters, Dorothy Hempstead and Della Marie Maddin, both of Fort Wright; 12 grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren.

Ralph B. Pendery, 81, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Fort Thomas, died Tuesday in Sarasota. He was a retail merchandiser with Marshall Field & Co. department store in Chicago, and formerly with Shillito's department store in Cincinnati, Halle's department store in Cleveland and Filene's department store in Boston.
He was a trustee of the Cleveland Society of the Blind, Fairmont Presbyterian Church and St. Luke Hospital, all in Cleveland, and was a trustee of Boston University. He also was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Anne Schneider Pendery; a daughter, Nancy Pendery of Washington , D.C.; a son, R. Douglas Pendery of Cincinnati; and five grandchildren.

James Welburn Rardin, 62, of Covington, died at 5:52 a.m. Thursday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. He was a sports broadcaster and a member of Bible Methodist Church, Burlington.

Randall H. "Randy" Renaker, 41, of Cleves, Ohio, formerly of Covington, died at 10:45 p.m. Tuesday at his residence. He retired from Welsh Excavation Co. in Cleves in 1997 because of colon cancer.
Survivors include his wife, Tina Marie Renaker; a daughter, Stephine Renaker of Erlanger; his mother, Harriet Henges Renaker of Covington; brothers, Paul "Skip" Renaker of Laton ia, John "Mike" Renaker of Florence, Richard Renaker and James Renaker, both of Covington; and sisters, Mary Renaker and Kimberly Renaker, both of Covington.

Jeffrey Smith, 30, of Owenton, was found dead in Arkansas in May. His body was identified Friday. He was a brick mason.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy McKenzie Smith; sons, Jeffrey Todd Smith, Mark Allen Smith and Dustin Manuel Smith, all of Owenton; his mother and stepfather, Ellen Jones and Claude Privette of Owenton; brothers, Robert Smith and Phillip Dale Smith, both of Owenton, and Gary Smith of Carlisle.

Patricia Ann Barnes Wagner, 48, of Hebron, died at 8 a.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, Covington, of cancer. She was a cosmetics manager with the Lazarus department store in Florence, where she was head of the store's Partners in Time charitable organization.

Robert D. White , 79, of Canton, Pa., formerly of Dayton, died July 26 at his home. He was a retired Merchant Marine captain and a member of the Marine Engineers Benevolent Association. He was a member of Whispering Pine Black Powder Club in Cherry Flats, Pa.
