Richard P. "Dickie" Wietelmann, 44, of Maysville, died Saturday at his home of cancer. He was owner of Maysville Bookkeeping Co. and a sports announcer with radio stations WFTM in Maysville, WNXZ in Portsmouth, Ohio, and WKKS in Vanceburg.
Survivors include his wife, Denise Kae Blevens Wietelmann; a son, Richard "Mack" Wietelmann of Circleville, Ohio; daughters, Shayla Wietelmann and Kaylee Wietelmann, both at home, Amber Hamilton of Sardinia, Ohio, and Jennifer Fissel of Grove City, Ohio; his mother, Bette Jean Wietelmann of Aberdeen, Ohio; sisters, Sue Ellen Aldridge and Amy Jo Stidham, both of Aberdeen, Ohio, and Carol Ann Lewis of Manchester, Ohio; and one grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Brell and Son Funeral Home, Maysville. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mays Lick Cemetery. Florence Wilking, 96, of Fort Mitchell, died Thursday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South in Edgewood. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Covington.
Survivors include three friends who took care of her, Emille Walden, Melinda Hamm and Leslie Strickland.

William Humbert, owned Crittenden Truck Stop
William C. Humbert, who once owned the Crittenden Truck Stop, was "Pop" to his many friends, family and acquaintances.
He was a father figure to many people, including police officers. Every Thanksgiving, officers who had to work the holiday knew they could stop by the truck stop on their break for a hot turkey dinner. His contributions to Trooper Island, a camp sponsored by the Kentucky State Police for underprivileged children, earned him the title of Honorary Major with the state police.
"He was very partial to people in uniform," said his son, Joe Humbert, of Florence. "I ended up becoming a police officer for 17 years with the Florence police. He kind of led the way."
Mr. Humbert, of Loveland, Ohio, and formerly of Florence, died Monday at Loveland Health Care Center. He was 77.
He grew up in Cincinnati and attended Purcell High School, where he played football. Later in life, he coached football at the school, now known as Purcell Marian.
He was married for 33 years to Mary Humbert, who died 14 years ago.
Mr. Humbert was a general manager of Becker Drugs, a chain of drug stores in Cincinnati. He and his young, growing family lived on a 100-acre farm in Clermont County, Ohio, for several years.
In 1972, he left Becker's, bought the Crittenden Truck Stop and moved his family to Boone County.
"He kind of decided he wanted to go out on his own and start his own business," Joe Humbert said. "He went in with my two other brothers as a family business."
By the time he retired, the business had 40 employees. Mr. Humbert spent the last years of his life in a home on Lake Williamstown that he and his wife once shared in the summers.
"He was a strict disciplinarian, but he took good care of us," Joe Humbert said. "He had an undying work ethic. All of his sons are very successful - and his daughter, too - and it was a tribute to his ability to keep his nose to the grindstone."
Other survivors include sons, Bill Humbert of Florence, Dan Humbert of Loveland, Ohio, and John Humbert of Crittenden; a daughter, Chris Kelly of Flemingsburg; a sister, Anna Mae Holtzleiter of Loveland; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Church, Florence. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:25 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Fort Mitchell. Leah Kathryn Beasley, 88, of Covington, died at 1:10 p.m. Tuesday at Grant Manor Nursing Home, Williamstown. She was a retired chief secretary with General Adjustments Bureau of the city of Hammond, Ind., and a member of Epworth Methodist Church, Covington. Her husband, James Beasley, died in 1986. A daughter, Patricia Ann Beasley, died in 1932.
Survivors include a son, Roger Beasley of Ludlow; brothers, Stanley Tyler of Charleston, Ill., and Lee Tyler of Carmel, Ind.; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at noon CDT Friday at Lee Greenwell Funeral Home, Martinsville, Ill. Visitation will begin there at 11 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Baird Cemetery, Martinsville. Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, Ludlow, is handling local arrangements.

Toy Wright Beckham, 92, of Williamstown, died Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center Grant County in Williamstown. She was a homemaker and a member of New Columbus Baptist Church. Her sons, Harold Beckham and Hershel Beckham Jr., died in 1998 and 1973, respectively.
Survivors include grandchildren, Teddy Beckham and Tammy Beckham, both of Williamstown, Tony Beckham of Nicholasville, Peggy Mowery of Georgetown and Tina Salyers of Fort Riley, Kan.; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rogers Funeral Home, Corinth. Visitation will begin there at noon Thursday. Burial will be in New Columbus Cemetery.

Edward W. Duwel, 96, of Cincinnati, died Tuesday in Tennessee. He was a former Cheviot City Council member and a member of the Cheviot Eagles. His wife, Dorothy Dietrich Duwel, preceded him in death.
Survivors include a son, James E. Duwel of Cincinnati; daughters, Mary Robke of Independence, Elaine Harffman of West Union, Ohio, and Carol Vollmer of Gallatin, Tenn.; 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Anna Mae Grosser, 90, of Highland Heights, died Tuesday at her home. She was a homemaker. Her husband, William Grosser, preceded her in death.

Loueva N. Jefferson, 77, of Germantown, died Monday at Meadowview Regional Medical Center, Maysville. She was a homemaker and a Women's Army Corps veteran of World War II.
Survivors include her husband, Rueben "Peck" Jefferson; a daughter, Sandra Hedeen of Taylor, Mich.; a stepdaughter, Debbie Scott of Germantown; one grandchild and four great-grandchildren.

Lillie Mae Kruse, 87, of Fort Thomas, died at 6:20 a.m. Monday at Carmel Manor nursing home in Fort Thomas. She was a retired saleswoman with F. W. Woolworth Department Store in Covington and a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Latonia. Her husband, William J. Kruse, died in 1955.

Frank S. Neiheisel, 82, of Highland Heights, died Monday at Highlands of Fort Thomas nursing home in Fort Thomas. He was a retired employee of Wiedemann Brewery, Newport, and a member of First Baptist Church of Cold Spring and the Cold Spring VFW post. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Ina C. Aden L. Noakes, 87, of Latonia, died at 1:45 a.m. Tuesday at Woodspoint Nursing Home, Florence. He was a retired employee of Interlake Steel, Newport, and an Army veteran of World War II.
