Betty Swaney Cantrell Lishka, 74, of Cincinnati, formerly of Newport, died at 12:50 a.m. Monday at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. She was a retired office manager for Owens-Corning Fiberglass, Cincinnati. Her first husband, Orman Cantrell, died in 1996.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond J. Lishka; a son, Scott Cantrell of Newport; a stepdaughter, Beverly Koewler of Columbus, Ohio; sisters, Catherine Lannom of Austin, Texas , and Helen Eimer of New Harmony, Ind.; a brother, William Swaney of Richmond, Ind.; and one grandchild.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Fort Thomas. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate.

Justin Litzinger, 40, of Dover, died at 5:23 p.m. Sunday at his home. He was a farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy Doyle Litzinger; his parents, Louis and Ginger Litzinger of Dover; a brother, Jeff Litzinger of Lexington; sisters, Terri Bess of Patriot, Ohio, Diana Bullington of Lexington, Ellen Hieronymous of Stamping Ground and Joan Cogan of Dover; and grandparents, Nell Ulrich of Augusta and Nell Litzinger of Brooksville. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Brell and Son Funeral Home, Maysville. Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Shannon Cemetery, Mason County.

Loretta S. Rosich, 54, of Edgewood, died at 11:32 p.m. Sunday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was an administrative assistant in marketing at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North, Covington.

Survivors include sons, Ed Rosich of Edgewood and Benjamin Rosich of Erlanger; and a sister, Barbara Rink of Lexington.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Erlanger.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Frankfort Cemetery.

Thelma B. Wolking, 86, of Taylor Mill, died at 10:29 p.m. Sunday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South in Edgewood. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Anthony Church, Taylor Mill, and Holy Cross Widow and Widowers Club. She was a former member of St. Anthony Fun Club and St. Anthony Altar Society. Her husband, John N. Wolking, died in 1972.

Survivors include a son, Jack Wolking of Cincinnati; daughters, Joyce Ann Wolking and Sue Carol Wolking, both of Taylor Mill; and brothers, Howard Wartmann of Villa Hills, Roy Wartmann of Florence and Edward Wartmann of Dearborn, Mich.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony Church, Taylor Mill. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia, with prayers at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mother of God Cemetery, Fort Wright.

Memorials are suggested to St. Anthony Church Undercroft Renovation Fund, 485 Grand Ave., Taylor Mill, Ky. 41015; or charity of the donor's choice.

Rebekah McNeal Juett, taught piano, Sunday school for 31 years

Rebekah McNeal Juett's energy and enthusiasm about life were felt by her family, friends and neighbors.

Mrs. Juett, 80, taught for 31 years in the Owen County school district. But she spent nearly as much time teaching the piano and Sunday school as she did in the classroom.

"Everyone called her Aunt Rebekah," said her daughter-in-law of 32 years, Mary Juett of Owenton.

"She played the organ and piano for a lot of weddings and funerals. Aunt Rebekah also taught piano to a lot of people."

Mrs. Juett, of Owenton, died Monday at Owen County Memorial Hospital in Owenton.

She attended Richland Baptist Church in Owen County, where she taught Sunday school and played the organ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Juett, the former president of Peoples Bank and Trust in Owenton; a son, Jerry Juett; and a daughter, Mickie Jones.

Although she lost three loved ones, Mrs. Juett remained joyful about life, her daughter-in-law said. Mrs. Juett's daughter left four children and Aunt Rebekah helped them attend college, Mary Juett said.

"She did everything for everybody and didn't worry about herself," Mary Juett said.

"She was outgoing. When my husband was in the hospital, she would sit with him. She was always going and doing."

Other survivors include a son, Jackie Juett of Owenton; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at McDonald Funeral Home, Main Street, Owenton. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Owenton. Memorials are suggested to Richland Baptist Church Building Fund, 6685 Georgetown Road, Owenton, Ky. 40359.

William H. Barrett, 64, of Taylor Mill, died Tuesday at Hospice of Cincinnati. He was a railroad conductor with Norfolk-Southern Railroad and an Army veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Merle F. Barrett; daughters, Kimberly Hathorn and Karen Hubener, both of Burlington; brothers, Clarence Barrett of Kings Mill, Ohio, David Barrett of Griffin, Ga., and Virgil Barrett of Barbourville; sisters, Doris Gilpin and Kathleen Grater, both of London, Ky.; and five grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Stith Funeral Home, Florence. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Fort Mitchell. Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society, 7730 U. S. 42, Suite C6, Florence, Ky. 41042.

Arvin Clifton, 84, of Owenton, died Monday at Owen County Memorial Hospital in Owenton. He was a retired employee of the Kentucky Department of Transportation and a member of Richland Baptist Church, Owen County.

Survivors include his wife, Gertrude Rose Clifton; sons, Bobby Clifton and Marc Clifton, both of Owenton, and Ronnie Clifton of Pinconning, Mich.; and daughters, Linda Allnutt of Owenton and Betty Warford of Lawrenceburg.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at McDonald Funeral Home, Main Street, Owenton. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Owenton. Memorials are suggested to Richland Baptist Church Building Fund, 6685 Georgetown Road, Owenton, Ky. 40359.

Linda Dieman, 50, of Dayton, died Monday at University Hospital, Cincinnati. She was a clerk with the IGA supermarket in Dayton.

Survivors include daughters, Patty Wilder of Newport and Jamie Dieman of Dayton; sons, Fred Dieman and Timmy Dieman, both of Covington; brothers, John McGovney of Cold Spring, Danny McGovney of Mobile, Ala., and Paul McGovney of Tollesboro; sisters, Phyllis Ross of Mansfield, Ohio, Patricia McMillan of Taylor Mill and Frances McCray of Flemingsburg; and five grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Radel Funeral Home, Newport. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate.

E. Ernest Greene, 90, of Butler, died Tuesday at River Valley Nursing Home in Butler. Arrangements are pending at Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth.

Charles James Jr., 71, of Taylor Mill, died at 10:17 p.m. Monday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. He was a retired lineman and truck driver with Cincinnati Gas & Electric Co., a member of St. Stephen Episcopal Church and Golden Rule Masonic Lodge No. 345, both in Latonia, and a former Boy Scout leader. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth A. James; sons, Dana James and Kelly James, both of Villa Hills; stepsons, Michael Pyke of Erlanger, Stephen Pyke of Latonia, Thomas Pyke of Union and Patrick Pyke of Dayton; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Connley Bros. Funeral Home, Latonia. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill. Memorials are suggested to American Legion Post No. 203, 38th and Winston Ave., Covington, Ky. 41015.

Alice Mae Lierman, 70, of Fort Wright, died Monday at St. Charles Care Center in Fort Wright. She owned Plastic Manufacturing Co. and was a member of Fort Mitchell Baptist Church and the U.S. and Kentucky Chambers of Commerce. Her husband, Robert C. Lierman, died in 1976.

Survivors include daughters, Diane Carol Freeman of Hendersonville, Tenn., Donna Kay Guillaume of Japan and Teresa Ann Heil of Dayton, Ohio; a son, Robert Thomas Lierman of Indiana, Pa.; a brother, Jack Schultz of Edgewood; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Fort Mitchell Baptist Church. Visitation will begin there at 12:30 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill. Ashley Lou Miller, 2 1/2 months, of Independence, died Monday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.

Survivors include her parents, Brandi Cooper and Jesse Miller; a sister, Jessica Miller, at home; grandparents, Linda Fryman of Morning View and Jesse Miller of Falmouth; and a step-grandmother, Theresa Cooper of Covington.

Wilgus Turner, 80, of Newport, died Monday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. He was a retired stock clerk with General Electric in Cincinnati and an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Turner; daughters, Wanda Turner of California, Lucy McIntosh and Thelma Cole, both of Newport; a son, Ricky Turner, at home; sisters, Ida Baker, Ollie Bowling and Deltha Turner, all of Butler, Martha Herald of Silver Grove, Nancy Combs of Newport and Georgia Deaton of Franklin, Ohio; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at New Macedonia Old Regular Baptist Church, Newport. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 tonight at Cooper Funeral Home, Grants Lick, and at 9 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Grants Lick.

Richard Wilson, 69, of Warsaw, died Tuesday at Gallatin Health Care Center in Warsaw.

Richard "Fiddlin' Dick' Wilson, played fiddle, liked antiques

Richard "Fiddlin' Dick" Wilson lived a life as colorful as his name.

Mr. Wilson restored antique vehicles and buggies. He collected antique guns. He played the fiddle and banjo and was known to sing whether he was ill or well.

In 1986, Mr. Wilson kept his fiddle under his hospital bed after injuring his foot. "I play for the nurses when they ask me and have time," Mr. Wilson said during an interview.

Mr. Wilson, 69, of Warsaw, died Tuesday at Gallatin County Health Care Center in Warsaw. He was a retired auto parts retailer and a member of the National Muzzle Loader and Rifle Association.

Mr. Wilson loved being outdoors and spending time with friends and neighbors. Although he had health problems, he refused to be cooped up in a hospital unless he had to.

"I'd sure like to get out of here," Mr. Wilson said during one hospital stay. "This sure isn't any place for me."

Survivors include his wife, Rena Banks Wilson; a son, Ronnie Wilson of Wilmington, Ohio; a foster son, Elvis Banks of Tennessee; daughters, Roberta Waugh of Verona and Rita Jarvis of Pasadena, Texas ; brothers, Pat Wilson, Billy Wilson and Donnie Wilson, all of Mount Sterling, and Kaiser Wilson of Verona; and sisters, Esther Oliver of Verona, Devonia Vance, Marlene Farris and Brenda Lockhart, all of Mount Sterling.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, Verona. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery, Verona. Memorials are suggested to charity.
