Mable Louise Henry Wickelhaus, 74, of Cold Spring, died at 7:05 a.m. Wednesday at St. Luke Hospital East in Fort Thomas. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include sons, Gary Wickelhaus of Cold Spring and Greg Wickelhaus of Fort Wright; a daughter, Lisa Wickelhaus Hawk of Alexandria; and a sister, Adelaide Henry of Fort Thomas.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Fort Thomas. Burial will be in Hillside Chapel Cemetery, Cincinnati. Robert J. Nelson loved golf, cooking, good joke
Cooking holiday dinners, telling jokes and golf were all important elements of Robert J. Nelson's life.
Mr. Nelson, 64, of Fairfield, Ohio, formerly of Villa Hills, died Wednesday morning in Mercy Hospital, Fairfield, only a day before he was to have continued with his tradition of preparing Thanksgiving dinner for his family.
"He loved to do Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners. He really looked forward to it. He had been out the day before to shop and prepare for cooking," said Mr. Nelson's wife, Eliza beth.
Mr. Nelson was a retired president of Stewart-Decatur Securities Systems of Coving ton and Erlanger.
A Colorado native, he was formerly an executive with the Decatur Ironworks in Ala bama. He moved to this area when the Decatur Ironworks merged with Stewart Iron works, his wife said.
Mr. Nelson also had worked in Texas .
During his time living in Northern Kentucky, Mr. Nel son was a member of Fort Mitchell Country Club and an avid golfer. He once scored a hole-in-one at the country club, with Mrs. Nelson and Grace and Wilford "Shorty" Bullock as witnesses.
Mrs. Nelson recalled quite a celebration after the hole-in- one.
"It was a wonderful night," she recalled.
Mr. Nelson loved to joke and made many friends through the country club and his residency in Villa Hills, Mrs. Nelson said.
"He never forgot a joke, even one he heard 40 years ago. He loved to tell them," she said.
Mr. Nelson's Colorado roots were a boon during his time in the Army, his wife said; he was a member of a Rocky Moun tain ski patrol unit and did not have to go overseas.
Her husband developed his cooking skills early in life, Mrs. Nelson said. His father, Orwin Nelson, lives in Mesa, Ariz., and still bakes bread for the people in his neighborhood, she said.
Besides his wife and his fa ther, survivors include sons, Robert Nelson, Michael Nelson and Donnie Nelson, all of Den ver, Stephen Nelson of Jack sonville, Fla., and Matthew Nelson of Salt Lake City, Utah; stepsons, Charles Johnson of Fort Mitchell and Donnie Johnson of Covington; a step daughter, Gail Sizemore of Florence; a brother, Don Nel son of Colorado; a sister, Judy "Jody" Kingore of Sheboygan, Wis.; and 13 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at St. Paul Church, Florence. The body was cremated.

William H. Bailey, 74, of Highland Heights, died at 8:20 p.m. Thursday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. A former personnel director for Wiedemann Brewery and a Marine veteran of World War II, he served as a Highland Heights City Council member for seven years.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Herrman Bailey; daughters, Karen Bailey of High land Heights and Diane Raker of Edgewood; sons, William J. Bai ley of Covington, David R. Bailey of Fort Thomas and Mark H. Bailey of Taylor Mill; and 10 grandchildren.

Betty Baletches, 79, of Flor ence, died Thursday at St. Eliza beth Medical Center South in Edgewood.

Helen Ackman Blackburn, 73, of Covington, died at 8:20 a.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North Hospice in Covington. She was a retired PBX operatorfor the Gest Street Yards of Southern Railroad Co., Cincinnati, and a member of the Brotherhood of Railway, Steamship and Airline Clerks AFL-CIO.
Her husband, William A. "Blackie" Blackburn, died in 1990. Survivors include sons, Bill Blackburn of Crestview Hills and Greg Blackburn of Erlanger; a sister, Eileen Webster of Cincinnati; and four grandchildren.

Jo Ann Geiman Bradhold, 48, of Erlanger, died Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a box-handler for Levi Strauss Co. in Florence.

Benjamin Russell Burgess, 18, of Crittenden, died at 9:08 a.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center-Grant County. A homebound student, he was a se nior at Grant County High School and was scheduled to re ceive his diploma this May.
He was a model-car builder, a Nintendo expert and a NASCAR fan. He was a member of the Walton-United Methodist Church and a former Cub Scout.
A sister, Megan Burgess, died in 1979. Survivors include his parents, Russell P. "Rusty" and Joyce Mitts Burgess of Critten den; one brother, Patrick M. Burgess of Crittenden; his pater nal grandmother, Helen Burgess of Williamstown; and his mater nal grandparents, Estill and Joyce Mitts of Dayton, Ohio.

John M. Geiser, 89, of Fort Thomas, died at 9:10 a.m. Thursday at Baptist Convalescent Center in Newport. He was a retired inspector for Cincinnati Milacron.

Frank Peel, 91, of Cincinnati, formerly of Latonia, died at 7:10 p.m. Thursday at Ridge Terrace Nursing Home in Cincinnati. He was a retired milkman for Cloverleaf Dairy.

Emma L. Rowlett, 82, of Carrollton, died Wednesday at Green Valley Health Care Center in Carrollton. She was a member of Carrollton Baptist Church. Her husband, Roy Rowlett, died in 1986. A son, Bobby Rowlett, also preceded her in death.

Jack H. Wood, 75, of Highland Heights, died Thursday at St. Luke Hospital East in Fort Thomas. He was a retired truck driver for Branch Motor Co. and a member of Teamsters Union Local 100.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Wood; daughters, Janet Vocke of Erlanger, Hazel Stechow of Burlington and Shirley Lucas of Jacksonville, Fla.; a son, John Wood of Taylor Mill; stepsons, Danny Fisher of Erlanger and Louie Peluso of Taylor Mill; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
