Margaret V. Schmits Costa, 79, of Vero Beach, Fla., formerly of Fort Thomas and Bellevue, died Thursday in Palm Garden, Fla.

Galvis Alvin Cox, 89, of Covington, died Thursday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. Arrangements are pending at Allison and Rose Funeral Home, Covington.

Lorraine Dietz Delaney, 70, of Fort Mitchell, died Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, Covington. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, John W. Delaney; daughters, Jeri Zimmer of Edgewood and Laurie Delaney of Burlington; sons, Kevin Delaney of Fort Mitchell and Michael Delaney of Burlington; a sister, Dottie Deitz of Fort Mitchell; and two grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Blessed Sacrament Church, Fort Mitchell. Entombment will be in St. John Mausoleum, Fort Mitchell. Memorials are suggested in the form of Masses. Linnemann Funeral Home, Erlanger, is handling arrangements.

Floyd Joseph DeMoss, 56, of Greenwood, S.C., formerly of Melbourne, died Sunday at his residence. He was a retired plant superintendent for Cincinnati Milacron's Greenwood plant and worked for Skills Resource and Training Center, Greenwood.

Mr. DeMoss was a member of West Side Baptist Church, Greenwood.; Henry Barnes Masonic Lodge, Dayton; and Greenwood Chamber of Commerce. He was a former member of the Greenwood and Heritage Sertoma Clubs, formerly served as honorary Walk Chairman of the Mother's March of Dimes, and was an Air Force veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Jo Lynn Phillips DeMoss; daughters, Denise DeMoss of Florence, Daphne Kisker of Seneca, S.C., Dawn Gray of Alexandria and Denise Shealy of Atlanta; a son, Craig Whitt of Greenwood, S.C.; a brother, Kenneth DeMoss of Melbourne; sisters, Cheri Kopp of Melbourne and Candice Hammons of Silver Grove; and nine grandchildren.

Services were held Tuesday at West Side Baptist Church, Greenwood. Burial was in Oakbrook Memorial Park, Greenwood. Memorials are suggested to West Side Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 216, Greenwood, S.C. 29648; or Hospice Care of the Piedmont, 408 W. Alexander Ave., Greenwood, S.C. 29648. Blyth Funeral Home, Greenwood, handled arrangements.

Ferdinand J. Erion, 70, of Lawrenceburg, Ind., died Tuesday at Dearborn County Hospital in Lawrenceburg. He was a retired employee with R. A. Jones Co.

Survivors include his wife, Marian Erion; sons, Michael Erion of Lakeside Park and Mark Erion of Union; a sister, Christina Gongola of Ludlow; a brother, Emerson Erion of Hamilton, Ohio; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Linnemann Funeral Home, Erlanger. Visitation will begin there at 1 p.m. Sunday. Cremation will be at Baxter Cremation Co., Cincinnati.

Randall Wayne Rider, 52, of Wal ton, died Wednesday at his home. He was an electrician.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah Rider; daughters, Katina Wehring of Cold Spring and Tyann Rider of Walton; a son, Clifford Rider of Brooksville; and his mother, Dora Rider Barnes of Warsaw.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Carlton-Lowder Funeral Home, Warsaw. Visitation will begin there at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Floyd J. Seaver, 77, of Salem, formerly of Warsaw, died Tuesday at Crittenden Hospital, Marion. He retired from Litton Book Co., Florence.

There are no immediate survivors.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Warsaw Cemetery. Carlton-Lowder Funeral Home, Warsaw, is handling arrangements.

Anna Bassett Talley, 93, of Covington, died Wednesday at her home after an extended illness. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include sons; William Talley of Evanston, IL, and LaVerne 'Tot' Talley of Covington; a daughter, Marian Roland of Covington; 9 grandchildren, and 14 grandchildren.

Services will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church, Covington. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the church. Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday at Mary E. Smith Memorial Cemetery, Elsmere.

Juanita F. Williams, 64, of Bellevue, died Thursday at her home. She was a retired beautician and owner of Skyline Beauty Salon, Cold Spring. Her husband, Roger Williams, died in 1997.

Survivors include a daughter, Judy Brannock of Bellevue; sons, Mike Williams of Shreveport, La., and R. Travis Williams of Fort Thomas; sisters, Charlotte Whaley and Audry Snedegar of New Castle, Ind., Judy McKenzie and Ruby Cassity, both of Salt Lick; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Services will be at noon Saturday at Radel Funeral Home, Highland Heights. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Northern Kentucky, 1403 Alexandria Pike, Fort Thomas, Ky. 41075.

Glavis Cox, milkman for 27 years

Glavis 'Skip' Cox delivered milk and other staples to three generations of families in Newport, Bellevue and Dayton.

Mr. Cox, 89, of Covington, died at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South in Edgewood.

He spent 27 years as a milkman and retired in 1971 from the Clover Leaf Dairy.

Mr. Cox enjoyed the morning work and was on the job by 5 a.m. every day.

'He was always such a good guy,' said his wife, Lyda Mae Cox. 'Monday mornings, women would be changing their mattress covers, and he'd help them change their covers.

'He was always bringing something home. They were always making pies and cakes.'

Before he delivered milk, he worked for the United Parcel Service and was the first man to put on a UPS uniform in Cincinnati, when the company came to town in 1934.

He was called to service during World War II but couldn't go because of a bad back, his wife said.

'He was always jolly,' his wife said. 'Everybody knew Skip. We were married 67 years, and they were good years - a happy time.'

Other survivors include daughters, Gloria Cox Houston of Erlanger and June Ballinger of Bossier City, La.; a sister, Irene Cox of Covington; a halfbrother, Dale Cox of Holland, Mich.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Allison and Rose Funeral Home, Covington, with visitation 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association, 1885 Dixie Highway, Suite 250, Fort Wright, Ky. 41011.

Survivors include daughters, Fanola Hangelbrauck of Cary, N.C., and Tanuel Richardson of Louisville; sisters, Hallie Hawkins of Louisville, Lillie Atwell of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Clara Tucker of Covington; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Allison and Rose Funeral Home, Taylor Mill, with visitation at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill.

She was a retired clerk for Sanzone Palmusano Produce, Cincinnati, and a member of St. John's on the CrossChurch, Vero Beach; and Village Green Swan Lake Social Club of Vero Beach. She was a former member of Loyal Cafe Social Club, Bellevue.

A daughter, Margaret 'Peg' Minogue, preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, August J. 'Gus' Costa; a son, Patrick Osborn of Nashville, Tenn.; a stepdaughter, Fran Spinner of Dallas; a stepson, Frank Costa of Cincinnati; a sister, Elizabeth 'Betty' Reuss of Fort Wright; 15 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Church, Bellevue, and visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Dobbling Funeral Home, Bellevue. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Cincinnati. Memorials are suggested to St. John's on the Cross Church, 2355 82nd Ave., Vero Beach, Fla. 32966.

Nathen Hunter Davis, 2 months, of Milton, W.Va., died Thursday at University Medical Center, Lexington.

Survivors include his parents, Mike and Nancy Starks Davis of Milton, W.Va., formerly of Gallatin County; a sister, Autumn Rose Davis, at home; grandparents, Sandra Templeton Davis of Milton, Terry E. Davis of Indiana and Thomas and Gwendolyn Connelly Starks of Somerset; and a great-grandmother, Irene Flora Templeton of Milton.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Templeton Cemetery, Milton. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
