William Chapman, 76, of Latonia, died at 2:45 a.m. today at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North, Covington. Arrangements are pending at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia.

Mary Blanch Poe Cummins, 84, of Foster, died Sunday at Maysville Extended Care. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethany Church of Christ. Her husband, J. Howard Cummins, died in 1991.

Survivors include sons, Donald Paul Cummins and Jimmy Dale Cummins, both of Foster; and three grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Moore and Parker Funeral Home, Brooksville. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Johnsville Cemetery, Foster.

Leora Dowell, 62, of Newport, died Monday at her residence. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Robert Dowell, died in 1987.

Survivors include daughters, Cynthia Dowell and Beverly Woodword, both of Union City, Ohio, Debbie Dowell, Sharon Dowell and Kathy Jo Combs, all of Newport, and Charlotte Williams of Butler; sons, Bobby Dowell, John Dowell and Paul Dowell, all of Newport; a sister, Velerie Couch of Hazard; a brother, Bill Bush of Warsaw; 24 grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at God's Pentecostal Church, Dayton. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the church. Burial will be in Warsaw Cemetery. Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Newport, is handling arrangements.

Joseph Englemon, 59, of Covington, died Saturday at his residence.

Survivors include brothers, James Englemon and Fred Englemon, both of Covington, Wallace Englemon and Charles Englemon, both of Louisville; and sisters, Maggie Englemon and Emma Lattimore, both of Covington, and Lucille Meeks of Cincinnati.

Services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at United Community Christian Church, Covington. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until time of services Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Mary Smith Memorial Cemetery, Elsmere. Jones and Simpson Funeral Home, Covington, is handling arrangements.

J. Donald Ewing, 73, of Burlington, died today at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. Arrangements are pending at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown.

Ruth M. Feighery, 69, of Ft. Wright, died Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a homemaker. Her husband, John "Jack" Feighery, died in 1997.

Survivors include sons, John P. Feighery, Jr. of Boca Raton, Fla., J. David Feighery of Edgewood and William M. Feighery of Villa Hills; a daughter, Carol Jeffrey of Ft. Wright; sisters, Jane Quigley of Crescent Springs and Thelma Lux of Edgewood; a brother, Tom Mistler of Edgewood; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Agnes Church, Ft. Wright. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Linnemann Funeral Home, Erlanger. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell. Memorials are suggested to American Lung Association Ohio chapter, 11113 Kenwood Road, Blue Ash, Ohio 45242.

Kevin Gerard Heeb, 29, of Erlanger, died at 3:19 p.m. Sunday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. He was an operations manager in the furniture division of Office Depot, Lockland, Ohio.

Survivors include his wife, Michelle "Shelly" Cappel Heeb; his parents, William and Mary Jo Heeb of Lakeside Park; brothers, William J. Heeb of Florence, Dr. Christopher A. Heeb of Edgewood and J. Bryan Heeb of Ft. Wright; and a sister, Mary Gene Bengel of Green Township, Ohio.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Blessed Sacrament Church, Ft. Mitchell. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Linnemann Funeral Home, Erlanger. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell. Phyllis A. Mardis, 68, of Taylor Mill, died at 7:10 p.m. Sunday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North, Covington. She was a homemaker, a retired supervisor for Western Union Telegraph, Cincinnati, and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Latonia.

Survivors include her husband, Allen R. Mardis of Taylor Mill; a daughter, Sharon R. Pollard of Florence; and one grandchild.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill. Memorials are suggested to Trinity United Methodist Church Youth Fund, 101 E. Southern Ave., Latonia, Ky. 41015.

Agnes Moloney Mauer, 84, of Covington, died at 3:08 a.m. Monday at St. Luke Hospital East, Ft. Thomas. She was a retired nursing supervisor for St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She also was a member of the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption, Covington, and a past member of the St. Elizabeth Medical Center Board of Trustees.

Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Quinn of Florence; and one grandchild.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the cathedral. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the church sanctuary. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell.

Herbert Howard Murphy, 81, of Beech Grove, Ind., formerly of Dayton, died Saturday at St. Paul Hermitage, Beech Grove, Ind. He was a retired electrical engineer for RCA and was a Navy veteran of World War II.

He was a member of Holy Name Church, Beech Grove, and Knights of Columbus Monsignor Downey Council No. 3660. He also was a former president of the board of education at Holy Name School, past president of Funtastics, and was on the board of trustees for Beech Grove Library.

Survivors include his wife, Thelma L. Murphy; daughters, Eileen Hughett, Marilyn Steigerwald and Shaun M. Murphy, all of Indianapolis; a son, J. Kevin Murphy of Indianapolis; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mass of Christian burial was this morning at Holy Name Church, Beech Grove. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Indianapolis.

Leonard Emmet Orcutt, 82, of Maysville, died at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at his residence. He was a retired plant manager for North Star Chemical, St. Paul, Minn. He also was an Army veteran of World War II who fought in the Battle of the Bulge.

Survivors include sons, James L. Orcutt of Sand Springs, Okla., and Larry F. Orcutt of Afton, Minn.; a daughter, Lee Orcutt-Rahwer of Minneapolis; sisters, Lovell Lola Frazier of Missouri Valley, Iowa, Mary Lee Hendrickson of Terrilton, Okla., and Melva Pancoast of Summer, Okla.; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Brell and Son Funeral Home, Maysville. Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hope, 1 W. McDonald Parkway, Maysville, Ky. 41056.

Audrey Ann Parker, 64, of Southgate, died at 2:10 a.m. Monday at St. Luke Hospital East, Ft. Thomas. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Jack H. Parker; daughters, Mary Kathlene Drake of Pigeon Forge, Tenn. and Patricia Ann Parker of Tampa, Fla.; sons, David Grinninger of Covington and Jack H. Parker II of St. Louis; a sister, Donna Lipscomb of Southgate; and three grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Therese Church, Southgate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Ft. Thomas. Leslie Martin Parker, 79, of Frankfort, died at 11:30 p.m. Sunday at Frankfort Regional Hospital. He was a retired security employee for the Kentucky Transportation Department and a farmer.

He also was a member of Memorial Baptist Church, where he was an ordained deacon; a member of the Men's Fellowship Sunday School Class and the Golden Years Senior Group. Two wives, Cordelia Bourne Parker and Katie Hood Parker, and a son, Darryl Martin Parker, preceded him in death.

Survivors include a son, Rev. Dwight Parker of Dry Ridge; a daughter, Judy Mason of Frankfort; a brother, Roy Parker of Owenton; sisters, Mable Smith of Frankfort and Alice Poe and Lou Ballard, both of Owenton; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at LeCompte-Johnson-Taylor Funeral Home, Frankfort.

Visitation will be from 4:30 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Owenton Oddfellows Cemetery.

George M. Poe, 72, of Erlanger, died Thursday at his residence. He was retired from the Boston Gear Industries, Florence, and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 808 F&AM, Ft. Thomas.

Survivors include sons, Martin Poe of Cincinnati and Sonny Lloyd of Hobbs, N.M.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Don Catchen and Son Funeral Home, Covington. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home, with Masonic services at 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill.

Cray Ritchie, 96, of Mason County, died at 1 a.m. Monday at Meadowview Regional Medical Center, Maysville. He was a retired farmer and landowner, and a member of Maysville Church of Christ.

His wife, Lida Burden Ritchie, died in 1987, and a son, Chester Ritchie, died in 1981.

Survivors include a son, Truman Ritchie of Mason County; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Palmer Funeral Home, Mays Lick. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mays Lick Cemetery.
