Romaine Dawson
HENDERSON — Romaine Dawson, 76, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2001, at home.
She was a retired Henderson County educator and a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Sydney Ann Dawson of Evansville; a son, Mark B. of Oswego, N.Y.; a brother, Richard Reed Cooper of Maggie Valley, N. C.; and two grandchildren.
Her husband of 52 years, Willis S., died in 1997.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Episcopal Church, with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
Jana Sigler
CLAY — Jana Marlene Sigler, 38, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, at Crittenden County Hospital in Marion of leukemia.
She was a Baptist.
Surviving are her husband of 20 years, David; a stepson, David Jr. of Clay; her mother, Brenda Cummings of Dawson Springs; a sister, Lana Doom of Hopkinsville; a brother, Dennis Cummings of Hopkinsville; and grandparents, Lola and Denver Patton of Fredonia.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Vanover Funeral Home, with burial in Rocksprings Cemetery
in Wheatcroft.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Eva Walker
DAWSON SPRINGS - Eva (Varble) Walker, 78, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001, at her home of heart failure.
She worked at Arvins for 10 years and the 4-H Club Camp for many years.
She was a member of the Dawson Springs Board for 10 years, American Legion Post Auxiliary, Eagles Auxiliary and First Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Sherron Kay Scott of Galatia, Ill., and Patricia A. Mitchell of Dawson Springs; a son, Michael A. of Dawson Springs; a brother, Charles C. Varble of Princeton, Ky.; six grandchildren, Anita Hunt, Nelson Scott, Sheldon Mitchell, Stephanie Utley and Becky and Daniel Walker; two stepgrandchildren, James K. Arnold and April Shrum; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie G. Walker, in 1982; and a daughter, Karron Sue Walker.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Beshear Funeral Home, with burial in Rosedale Cemetery.
Edward Wilson
PRINCETON - Edward "Snoot" Wilson, 56, of Dawson Springs, formerly of Princeton, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, at New Dawson Nursing Home of heart failure.
He worked in the dye house at Princeton Hosiery Mill.
He was a Vietname War veteran and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.
Surviving are two daughters, Elizabeth Peek of Dawson Springs and Shellie Bell of Elizabethtown; four sisters, Margie Crippen of Houston, Texas , Pat McChesney of Marmaduke, Ark., Dorothy Childress of Dawson Springs and Shirley Stephens of Princeton; two half sisters, Louise Cochran of Earlington and Virgie Calvert of Madisonville; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Morgan's Funeral Home, with burial in Princeton Memorial Gardens, with military rites.
Joe Farley
HENDERSON - Joe Earl Farley, 65, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, at his home of leukemia.
He was the director of the Green River Pork Producers Association and was a past president of Farm Bureau.
He was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks 206 and the 4-H Cooperative Extension Board, where he served as a volunteer leader, was a charter member of the Henderson County Lions Club and was a member of Zion Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Judy Farley; three sons, Franklin E. of Henderson, Byron L. of Alexandria and Jon S. of Robards; two sisters, Judy Duncan and Nancy Garrard, both of Henderson; six grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; a great-grandchild; a stepgreat-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Zion Baptist Church, with burial in Fernwood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to service time at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to his church.
Alma Pendley
MADISONVILLE - Alma Lee (Smith) Pendley, 83, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, at Regional Medical Center Emer- gency Room.
She was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Nortonville.
Surviving are her husband, Gilbert McClain Pendley; a daughter, Rowena Ladd of LaVergne, Tenn.; three sons, Don of Hanson, Johnny of Nebo and Dickie of Madisonville; three brothers, Lawson and Johnny Smith, both of Nortonville, and Ruben Smith of Madisonville; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home, with burial in New Salem Cemetery
in Nortonville.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, the American Heart Association or Kosair Crippled Children's Hospital.
Dorothy Cummins
HENDERSON - Dorothy Lee Cummins, 77, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2001, at Methodist Hospital of apparent heart failure.
She was a member of Beals Pentecostal Church in Beals and Christ Temple Church in Evansville.
Surviving are a son, Tony Davis Sr. of Boonville, Ind.; and five grandchildren.
Services will be private. There will be no visitation at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Beals Pentecostal Church.
Earnest Freeman
PRINCETON - Earnest Freeman, 67, of Eddyville, formerly of Princeton, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah of heart failure.
He was a retired factory worker.
Surviving are a sister, Dorothy Murray of Savannah, Tenn.; and two brothers, James Urey of Lyon County and Edward of Princeton.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Morgan's Funeral Home, with burial in Saratoga Church Cemetery
in Lyon County.

Zennie Tudor
PRINCETON - Zennie Tudor, 91, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, at Caldwell County Hospital.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Princeton.
Surviving are two nieces, Kathleen Heaton and Dimple Morse; and two nephews, Clarence Tudor and Boyce Crowder.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Morgan's Funeral Home, with burial in Shady Grove Cemetery
in Crittenden County.
