Clarence E. Fisher Sr.

Clarence E. Fisher Sr., 61, Henderson, died at 3:54 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, 2002, at Methodist Hospital.

He was a 1958 graduate of Douglass High School. He worked at Alcoa Aluminum Co. for 28 years until his retirement. He had also worked for Meuth Construction Co. He was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church and the Fabulous Fifties Club. He enjoyed golf, hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Elwanda Sheets Fisher of Henderson; one daughter, Gwendolyn Fisher-Williams of Henderson; one son, Clarence E. Fisher Jr., of Henderson; two sisters, Linda Williams of Louisville and Carolyn Rucker of Henderson; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Services will be at noon Tuesday at First Missionary Baptist Church in Henderson. The Rev. Anthony Brooks will officiate. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Monday at the church, where a wake service will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.

Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel in Evansville is in charge of arrangements.

Anna M. Evans

STURGIS -- Anna M. Evans, 95, Sturgis, died at 5:15 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, 2002, at Methodist Hospital in Morganfield.

Survivors include one daughter, Dorothy Cudequest of Sturgis; one son, Charles Evans of Sturgis; one stepsister, Pearl Dailey of Sturgis; one stepbrother, Fuzzy Love of Sturgis; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis. The Rev. John Baker will officiate. Burial will be in Grangertown Cemetery in Sturgis.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 11 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Richard Duane Herron

HANSON -- Richard Duane Herron, 58, Hanson, died at 1:10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, 2002, at the home of his sister after a long illness.

He retired after 26 years of service with the Kentucky State Police, where he served as a pilot. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force who served in Vietnam. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and was retired from the Army National Guard. He was a member of Harvest Baptist Temple in Owensboro.

Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Nelson Herron of Buzzards Bay, Mass.; one daughter, Suzanne Antoinette Herron Lambrich of Sandwich, Mass.; two sons, Richard Duane Herron II of Germany and Paul Nathanael Herron of Owensboro; two sisters, Ada Yvonne Plunkette of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Alisa Beeny of Hanson; four brothers, Daniel A. Herron of Dixon, Paul G. Herron of Newburgh, Ind., Roger G. Herron of Acworth, Ga., and Nathaniel Dean Herron of Hanson; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home in Madisonville. The Rev. Larry Spears will officiate. Burial will be in Slaughters Cemetery in Slaughters, with full military rites performed by the Kentucky State Police.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Missions Department of Harvest Baptist Temple, 4031 Old Calhoun Road, Owensboro, KY 42301.

Knox Duncan Lefler

OWENSBORO -- Knox Duncan Lefler, 76, Owensboro, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2002, at Owensboro Mercy Health Systems.

He retired from being self-employed in architectural design. A Korean War U.S. Navy veteran, he was recipient of the Purple Heart and was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include two daughters, Tina Rhoads of Baton Rouge, La., and Lisa Lefler of Victorville, Calif.; two sons, Tony Lefler of Owensboro and Kevin Lefler of Fayetteville, Ark.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro. Burial will be in Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery in Daviess County.

Friends may call from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Rosa Lee Mabry

FRANKFORT -- Rosa Lee Mabry, 92, Frankfort, formerly of Poole, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2002, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

She was a member of Myrtle Avenue Church of Christ in Frankfort.

Survivors include one son, Leon Townsend of Frankfort; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Clark-Sunset Funeral Home in Frankfort, where friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole. Rob Whitacre will officiate.

Local visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Tapp Funeral Home.

Edward Harper Hayes

HOPKINSVILLE -- Edward Harper Hayes, 75, Hopkinsville, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2002, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.

He was retired from civil service at Fort Campbell, where he worked in the commissary. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was a member of Hopkinsville Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Hopkinsville.

Survivors include his wife, Darwin Murphy Hayes; and one sister, June Murch of Henderson.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Hughart and Beard Funeral Home in Hopkinsville. The Rev. James E. Talley will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Hopkinsville.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Heart Association or Hopkinsville Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Edith Jane Williams
Edith Jane Williams, 86, Henderson, who died Wednesday, will be at 2 p.m. today at Tapp Funeral Home. The Rev. Bob Fulcher will officiate. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. today at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be D.W. Walker, Dale Williams, G.F. Williams and Brandon Williams.

Mary C. Camp

Memorial services for Mary C. Camp, 97, Corydon, who died Tuesday, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at her home. Larry Nesler will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Magnolia Cemetery in Charleston, S.C.

There will be no visitation.

Alexander Funeral Homes East Chapel in Evansville is in charge of arrangements.

Charles E. Adamson

Services for Charles E. Adamson, 77, Morganfield, who died Thursday, will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield. The Rev. Robert Phillips will officiate. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Morganfield.

Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

He attended the Grove Center Methodist Church and was a retired farmer.

Kenneth Gordon Price

Services for Kenneth Gordon Price, 71, Clay, who died Wednesday, will be at 1 p.m. today at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis. The Rev. Kerry Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Old Bethel Cemetery in Union County.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. today at the funeral home.
