Martha Ruth Maze, 72, of Independence, died at 4:15 p.m. April 4 at her home. She was a landlord and a member of Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Cincinnati. Her husband, Donald Maze, died in 1972.
Survivors include daughters, Penny Miklaucic of Willoughby, Ohio, and Kelly Cain of Independence; a son, Paul Maze of Mentor, Ohio; and seven grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Church of Christ Nicholson, Walton. Cremation was at Hillside Chapel, Cincinnati. Memorials are suggested to St. Elizabeth Hospice, 401 E. 20th St., Covington, Ky., 41014. Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence, is handling arrangements.

Anna Lee Perrin, 56, of Newport, died Monday at Florence Park Care Center. She was a member of Second Baptist Church, Newport.
Survivors include sons, Troy A. Harris of Lima, Ohio, James E. Harris of Berlin, Germany, and Nelson E. Perrin Jr. of Newport; brothers, Charles Oldham, Christopher Rice and Bruce Oldham, all of Covington; sisters, Rosetta Oldham and Joan Dace, both of Cincinnati; and seven grandchildren.
Services were Thursday at United Community Christian Church, Covington. Burial was in Linden Grove Cemetery, Covington. Jones & Simpson Funeral Home, Covington, is handling arrangements.

Ruth G. Schultz-Rolf, 73, of Cold Spring, died Thursday at St. Luke Hospital East, Ft. Thomas. She was a nurse at the hospital and a member of St. Joseph Church, Cold Spring.
Survivors include daughters, Donna Schultz of Highland Heights, Mary McCarthy of Hagerhill and Nancy Kohrs of Bellevue; sons, Brother David Schultz, F.F.C. of Milwaukee and Joseph Schultz of Cold Spring; her mother, Emma Campbell of Louisville; brothers, Kenneth Campbell of Amelia, Ohio, R. C. Campbell of Brown County, Ohio, Leland Campbell of Bethel, Ohio, and Daniel Campbell of Franklin, Mass.; sisters, Hildreth Record of Amelia, Ohio, Dorothy Browning of St. Louis and Evelyn Gifford of Flemingsburg; and three grandchildren.

Alexandria's Daniel Smith was civic, church leader
Daniel J. Smith was a former Alexandria City Council member and very active in civic organizations.
Mr. Smith, 87, of Alexandria, died Saturday at St. Luke Hospital East in Ft. Thomas.
He was a retired research and development foreman with Globe-Wenicke Co. in Cincinnati and a former office manager with two Campbell County sheriffs. He was a past executive secretary for the 69th District Democrat Executive Committee and a past president of the 69th District Democrat Club.
"He was very active in civic affairs and politics," said his wife of 58 years, Alberta Gugle Smith.
Mr. Smith enjoyed reading about Ireland and was an avid Notre Dame football fan. He was a gregarious man, always striking up conversations with strangers, his wife said.
He served in Greenland during World War II.
Mr. Smith was a member of the parish councils of Immaculate Conception, St. Therese and St. Mary of the Assumption churches. He helped organize the Paddock Club at St. Therese Church in Southgate and the Cavalier Club at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Alexandria.
Mr. Smith was a charter president of the Kings and Queens Senior Citizens Club and a founder and charter president of Sun Valley Senior Citizen Club. He helped organize Alexandria Chapter 3472 of the American Association of Retired Persons and the Happy 100 Senior Citizens Club, and he was a member of the St. Mary Senior Citizens Club.
Mr. Smith was a charter member of Lawler-Hanlon VFW Post 5662 in Newport, serving as a past post commander. He was a member of Campbell County VFW Post 3205 and Father DeJaco Council 5220 of the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the Bishop Flaget Assembly of the Knights of Columbus.
Other survivors include a daughter, Kathy Noel of Cold Spring; sons, Daniel G. Smith of Crestview Hills and Michael T. Smith of Grants Lick; sisters, Margaret Burke of Ft. Wright and Lillian Hunter of Oceanside, Calif.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Church in Alexandria. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Alexandria Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery

Willie Chipman, 50, of Corinth, died Saturday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence, after a long illness. He was a truck driver with Kline Wright Trucking Co., Dry Ridge, and formerly with Boone Ready-Mix Concrete Co. and Grant County Concrete Co.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Mae Barnett Chipman; a son, Billy Joe Chipman at home; a foster son, Greg Chipman of Corinth; his father, Henry Chipman of Corinth; and a brother, Wayne Chipman of Corinth.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Williamstown Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family.

Raymond Vincent Dusing, 76, of Ft. Wright, died at 5 a.m. Sunday at his home. He was a retired electrician with Heekin Can Co. and a member of St. Agnes Church, Ft. Wright. He was a member of the Lookout Heights Civic Club and a pioneer in dirigible maintenance techniques. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Mary M. Walther Dusing; sons, Gerry Dusing of Florence, Michael Dusing of Carrollton, Texas , and Mark Dusing of Ambler, Pa.; daughters, Susan Gaffield of Lexington, Marianne Wilson of Latonia and Becky Davis of Dayton, Ohio; and 19 grandchildren.

Judy Edens, 50, of Crescent Springs, died Sunday at her home. She was machine operator with Specialty Envelope Co., Cincinnati.

Minnie Mae Eggleston, 86, of Florence, died Friday at Florence Park Care Center. She was a retired cafeteria superintendent with Burlington Elementary School and a member of Belleview Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughters, Alice Ruth Scott of Burlington and Helen Fae Rouse of Madison, Ind.; six grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Johnny Hamm, 62, of Crittenden, died at 8:40 a.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. He was a retired employee of United Parcel Service, Cincinnati.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Baynum Hamm; sons, Butch Hamm and Kenneth Hamm, both of Crittenden, and John Hamm Jr. of Orlando; his mother, Martha Hamm of Florence; a brother, Bill Hamm of Boone County; and eight grandchildren.

Gertrude Ethel White Howard, 76, of Augusta, died Saturday at Ohio Valley Manor in Ripley, Ohio. She was a retired employee of U.S. Shoe Corp. in Ripley, and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Augusta.

Elward "Ike" Lipscomb, 70, of Newport, died Saturday at St. Luke Hospital East, Ft. Thomas. He was a retired heavy equipment mechanic with Ruebel Construction Co., Cincinnati, and an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Diana Lipscomb.

Billy Ray Lykins Sr., 60, of Cynthiana, died Saturday at his home. He was a retired trucking company employee and a Marine Corps veteran.
