Walter R. Nordloh, 88, of Ft. Mitchell, died at 2:25 a.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood, from injuries suffered in a fire at his home.

He was a member of Kehoe Council Knights of Columbus, Ludlow, and a fourth-degree member of Bishop Flaget General Assembly Knights of Columbus. His wife, Germaine M. "Jerry" Nordloh, died in 1985.

Survivors include sons, Edward W. Nordloh of Edgewood and Bud Nordloh of Crescent Springs; daughters, Mary Jo Hehman of Ft. Thomas and Peggy Owens of Covington; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, Ft. Mitchell. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Covington.

Memorials are suggested to St. Charles Care Center, 500 Farrell Drive, Covington 41011.

JoAnn G. Strange, 56, of Falmouth, died Wednesday in a one-car accident on U.S. 27 two miles south of Falmouth.

She was a member of Glenwood Baptist Church, Falmouth.

Survivors include her husband, James Strange of Falmouth; sons, James Strange Jr. of London and Joel Strange of DeKalb, Ill.; daughters, Joette Dunn of Crittenden; parents, Ralph and Katherine Parnell of Melbourne; brothers, Terry Parnell of Falmouth, Ralph Parnell Jr. of Melbourne and Russell Parnell of Cincinnati; sisters, Judy Strange and Jennifer Hayes, both of Ft. Thomas; and six grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Peoples Funeral Home, Falmouth. Visitation will be there from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth.

Memorials are suggested to the church, Shelby Street, Falmouth 41040.

James A. Willmes Sr., 64, of Park Hills, died Thursday at his home. He owned Intermedia Inc., a Cincinnati advertising agency. He was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, Lakeside Park, and a volunteer for Radio Reading for the Blind and 281-CARE.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce B. Willmes; a daughter, Jeanne Booher of Florence; a son, James A. Willmes Jr. of Park Hills; a sister, Joan Moss of Las Vegas; a brother, William Willmes of Portland, Ore.; and six grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Erlanger. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell.

Memorials are suggested to Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis International Foundation.

Carl O. Yost, 84, of Covington, died Thursday at The Highlands nursing home, Ft. Thomas.

He was a former owner/operator of 326 Club, Covington. His wife, Rachel G. Walton Yost, died in 1976.

Survivors include a son, Larry R. Bradley of Taylor Mill; a daughter, Peggy A. Groger of Jacksonville, Fla.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Covington. Visitation will be there from 12:30 to time of services Monday. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, Tenn. 38101-9929.

Margaret Caldwell, devoted to family

Margaret Griffin Caldwell was a former clerk of Williamstown in the 1950s. Mrs. Caldwell died at 8:05 a.m. Saturday at Grant Manor Nursing Home in Williamstown. She was 88.

Mrs. Caldwell was a homemaker.

"She loved her grandchildren and her children dearly," said a grandson, David G. Caldwell of Lafayette, Ind. "She was always expectant of our arrivals when we visited. Almost all of our Christmases were spent here."

Mrs. Caldwell was a member of Williamstown United Methodist Church and of Williamstown Order of the Eastern Star No. 301. She was a member of Williamstown Homemakers, Williamstown Woman's Club and United Methodist Women. Her husband, Stanley R. Caldwell, died in 1980.

She was born in Gallatin County and grew up in Warsaw, moving to Grant County when she was married.

Mrs. Caldwell enjoyed cooking and baking, and she was a fine candy maker, said her son, David M. Caldwell of St. Louis.

Other survivors include two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown, and after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Entombment will be at Williamstown Mausoleum.

Memorials are suggested to the church, 206 Paris St., Williamstown 41097.

Helen Bohman, 95, of Cincinnati, formerly of Ft. Mitchell, died Friday at Salem Park Nursing Home in Cincinnati. She was a retired employee of the Internal Revenue Service, Cincinnati.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 12:05 p.m. Wednesday at Mother of God Church, Covington. Burial will be in Mother of God Cemetery, Ft. Wright. Linnemann Funeral Home, Covington, is handling arrangements.

Pauline C. Bruin, 83, of Cynthiana, died Sunday at Royal Manor Nursing Home, Nicholasville. She was a retired employee of Parker Seal Co.

Survivors include sons, Charles Williamson of Harrison County, Sherry Eugene Williamson of Nicholasville and Kenneth Lewis Williamson of Scott County; daughters, Mable Williamson and Leona Beckett, both of Fayette County; brothers, Zenos Courtney of Fayette County, and Ronald Courtney of Scott County; sisters, Margaret Fryman, Thelma Mattingly and Lucille Browning, all of Harrison County, Eula Florence of Fayette County and Melissa Lemons of Cincinnati; 18 grandchildren and 19 great- grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ware Funeral Home, Cynthiana. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Jacksonville Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Troop No. 59, Boy Scouts of America, 415 N. Broadway, Lexington 40505.

Catherine R. Chalk, 83, of Ft. Thomas, died at 6:22 a.m. Sunday at St. Luke Hospital East in Ft. Thomas. She was a retired tax examiner with the Internal Revenue Service and a member of St. Therese Church, Southgate. She was a charter member of Mariners Club of St. Joseph Church, Cold Spring. Her husband, Carl E. Chalk, died in 1979.

Survivors include a daughter, Kathleen Tieman of Wilder; and one grandchild.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Therese Church. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery, Ft. Thomas. Memorials are suggested to Carmel Manor Nursing Home, 100 Carmel Manor Road, Ft. Thomas 41075, or St. Therese Church, 11 Temple Place, Southgate 41071. Dobbling Funeral Home, Ft. Thomas, is handling arrangements.

Geneva Cookendorfer, 83, of Falmouth, died Friday at her home. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Ray Cookendorfer, died in 1986. Her son, Billy Ray Cookendorfer, died in 1992.

Survivors include a daughter, Deanna Cookendorfer of Falmouth; sisters, Gladys Johnson of Falmouth and Yvelta Bailey of Williamstown; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services were this morning at Peoples Funeral Home, Falmouth. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth. Memorials are suggested to Pendleton County Public Library, Main Street, Falmouth 41040.

Della Earle, 80, of Carrollton, died at 11:05 p.m. Friday at King's Daughters Hospital in Madison, Ind. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, C. Roger Earle; a daughter, Mary Ann Craig of Carrollton; a son, John Licklider of Carrollton; sisters, Charlette Lee of Las Vegas and Judy Lloyd of Carrollton; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Carrollton First Baptist Church. Visitation began there at 10 a.m. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Carrollton.

Vivian K. Feilen, 88, of Latonia, died at 12:55 p.m. Friday at Riverview Community Nursing Home, Cincinnati. She was a film developer with Fast Photo, Cincinnati. Her husband, Lawrence Feilen, died in 1973.

Survivors include a sister, Betty McCarty of Dayton.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Dobbling Funeral Home, Bellevue. Visitation will begin there at noon Tuesday. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate.

Lansing P. Fossitt, 83, of Peach Grove, died Friday at St. Luke Hospital East, Ft. Thomas. He was a retired carpenter and farmer and a member of Second Twelve Mile Baptist Church, Pendleton County. He was a deacon and Sunday school teacher at the church, and was a charter member of Northern Pendleton County Fire Department. A daughter, Louella Mae Fossitt, died in 1937.

Survivors include sons, Jimmy Fossitt of Florence and Ronnie Fossitt of Wesley Chapel; a daughter, Addlyn Cox of Peach Grove; a brother, Rudolph Fossitt of Wesley Chapel; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the church. Visitation will begin there at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Peach Grove Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the church, Highway 154, Butler 41006. Peoples Funeral Home, Butler, is handling arrangements.
