Leyla Engle, 83, of Bullitts ville, died Monday at St. Eliza beth Hospice Unit, Covington. She was a homemaker and a for mer clerk with Whitakers Gro cery in Bullittsville. She was a member of Bullittsville Chris tian Church and Bullittsville Homemakers. Her husband, Del bert Engle, died in 1990.
Survivors include daughters, Doris Newland of Hebron and Wilma Engle of Covington; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Hebron. Visita tion will be 5 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Belleview Cemetery. Lawrence Eversole, 73, of Cincinnati, formerly of Newport, died Monday at Blue Ash Nurs ing Home in Cincinnati. He was a jockey, horse trainer and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a son, Law rence G. Eversole of Newport; daughters, Linda Santini of New port and Catherine Parrota of Cleveland; a brother, J. Eversole; and eight grandchildren. Ser vices will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Radel Funeral Home, Newport. Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cem etery, Southgate.

Esther Gilbert, 91, of High land Heights, died at 10:47 a.m. Sunday at Lakeside Place Nurs ing Home in Highland Heights. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, James A. Gilbert of Park Hills; and two grandchildren.

Fred M. Habermehl Jr., 80, of Augusta, died Monday at Christ Hospital, Cincinnati. He was a retired mechanical engi neer with Clopay Corp., Augusta, and a member of St. Augustine Church, Augusta. He was a member of St. Augustine-St. James Knights of Columbus Council; a former member of Au gusta Volunteer Fire Depart ment; a member of Pioneer Club of Clopay Corp. and AA Cruisers Car Club, Bracken County.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Cracraft Habermehl; a daughter, Anna "Corky" Mains of Augusta; a son, Fred "Buddy" Habermehl III of Ross, Ohio; sisters, Ethel Henize Doddridge of Lynchburg, Ohio, Betty Apple man and Ruth Laycock, both of Augusta; brothers, Stanley Ha bermehl of Augusta and Dick Habermehl of Wilmington, Ohio; six grandchildren and one great- grandchild.

Joyce Nolder, 67, of Maysville, died Monday at her home. She was a retired dis patcher with Maysville Police Department. Her husband, Wil liam G. Nolder, died in 1992.

Marie A. Riedel, 96, of Erlanger, died Saturday at her home. She was a homemaker. A daughter, Lieselotte Rauh, died in 1932. A son, Karl Rauh, died in 1944.

Arthur J. Spicer, 90, of Ft. Thomas, died Monday at Highlands of Ft. Thomas Nursing Home. He was a self-employed advertising agent and a marketing instructor at Chase College of Law.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Spicer; daughters, Jean Carroll of Liberal, Kan., and Joy Erpenbeck of Ft. Thomas; sons, Robert A. Spicer of Clyde, Ohio, Arthur J. Cornelius Woeste, 91, of Ft. Thomas, died Monday at Highlands of Ft. Thomas Nursing Home. He was a retired gardener and a drill press operator with Wadsworth Watch Case Co., Dayton. He was a member of St. Joseph Court 1725 Catholic Order of Foresters. His wife, Mary Anna Woeste, died in 1992.
Survivors include daughters, Janet Schmitz of Cincinnati, Regina Daesch of Coconut Creek, Fla., and Claire Merman of Newport; a son, Charles Woeste of Villa Hills; a brother, Theodore Woeste of Alexandria; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Jacob Fausz, carpenter and deacon
Jacob Dennis Fausz was a carpenter and a church deacon who used his hands to renovate hospitals and his faith to spread the gospel. "He did foreman work and trained apprentice carpenters. And he had strong beliefs in the Lord. He had a mastery of the Bible and could quote scripture," said a daughter, Melody Brookbank of Edgewood.
Mr. Fausz, 79, of Florence, died at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday at his home. He was a carpenter with Union Local No. 698, Covington, and a member of Dayton-Bellevue Christian Church. He was a former elder, deacon and Sunday school teacher at the church. He also was an Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Fausz was a Newport native who was described by his daughter as outgoing and friendly. He was a firm, but fair, father who was consistent with all his children, Mrs. Brookbank said. "He was really proud of his family. He had a strong value system and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather."
Other survivors include his wife, Dorothy Wolfe Fausz of Florence; a son, Dennis Fausz of Edgewood; daughters, Joselyn Beach of Warsaw, Ind., Patricia Koffarnus of Moberly, Mo., and Bonnie Sloane of New Haven, Conn.; brothers, Edward Fausz of Harrison, Ohio, and John Fausz of Lakeside Park; sisters, Ann Ziegler of Covington, Thelma Lucas of Alexandria and Frances Kueven of Taylor Mill; and 12 grandchildren.
Services will be at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill. Memorials are suggested to the church, Eighth and Walnut, Dayton 41074.

Marguerite Cline, 77, of Crescent Park, died at 8:14 a.m. Tuesday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. She was a homemaker and a member of Lakeside Christian Church, Lakeside Park. Her husband, Wardy M. Cline, died in 1975.
Survivors include a stepson, John Cline of McDonough, Ga.; sisters, Ardyce Webster of Walnut Creek, Calif., and Lois Shelor of La Mesa, Calif; two grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
