Harmie Vickers, 70, of Fox Den Road, Lily, Kentucky, died Tuesday, August 8, 2000, at his residence.
Born August 7, 1930, in Jackson County, Kentucky, he was preceded in death by his parents, Martha (Messer) Vickers and Chester Vickers.
Survivors include two sons, Lonnie Vickers of Lily, Ky., and Wayne Vickers of Richmond, Ind.; two daughters, Deloris Miller of Richmond, Ind., and Brenda Bell of Lily, Ky.; a brother, Herman Vickers of Crab Orchard, Ky.; three sisters, Geneva Shelley of Kokomo, Ind., Molly Kelly of Corbin, Ky., and Drucilla Vickie McQueen of Richmond, Ind.; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, August 11, at the Justice Funeral Home Chapel in McKee, Kentucky, with the Rev. Eugene Gentry officiating. Burial will follow in the Tyner Cemetery
at Tyner, Ky.
Bertie L. Bolatto

Bertie L. Bolatto, 88, of 1908 Verlaum Street, Norwood, Ohio, died Wednesday, August 9, 2000, at the Ridge Terrace Nursing Home in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Born April 29, 1912, in Laurel County, Kentucky, she was a housewife and of the Catholic faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alicee (Duff) Wilson and Levi Wilson; and her husband, Michael Bolatto.
Survivors include a son, Michael T. Bolatto of Norwood, Ohio; a daughter, Jacqulyn Anderson of Cincinnati, Ohio; three sisters, Eulene Moore, Hazel Corum and Hallie Wilson, all of London, Ky.; and six grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Thursday, August 10, at the Wilson Cemetery
at London with Jerry Brown officiating.
House-Rawlings Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Respiratory therapist
Elisa Nae Allen, 37, of Somerset Road, London, Kentucky, died Sunday, August 6, 2000, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
Born August 13, 1963, in London, Kentucky, she was a respiratory therapist at Marymount Medical Center in London and was a member of the Pine Hill Holiness Church.
She is survived by her parents, Willa Dean (Benge) Allen and Robert Raymond Allen of London, Ky.; a son, Bryan Hammons of London, Ky.; maternal grandfather Herbert Benge of London, Ky.; a half-sister, Linda Taylor of Hamilton, Ohio; two sisters, Linda Peters and husband Evan of London, Ky., and Lorie Allen of Louisville, Ky.; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 9, at the Laurel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lee House Jr. and the Rev. Cecil Benge officiating. Burial will follow in the Warrens Grove Cemetery.
Michael Lee Miller
Michael Lee Miller, 39, of 87 Chapel Road, East Bernstadt, Kentucky, died Saturday, August 5, 2000, at Marymount Medical Center in London.
Born February 5, 1961, in Laurel County, Kentucky, he was affiliated with the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Edward Miller Sr., and a brother, James Edward Miller Jr.
Survivors include his mother, Cora Lee Miller of East Bernstadt, Ky.; his wife, Shirley Mitchell Miller of East Bernstadt, Ky.; seven sisters, Angela Blevins, Diane Helton, Sheila Jill Malicoat, Juanita McDaniel, Sandra Miller, Tammy Jeanette Miller, and Pamela Sue Thompson, all of East Bernstadt, Ky.; and five brothers, Eric Miller, Farron Anthony Miller, Glen David Miller, Sherman Dale Miller and William Ralph Miller, all of East Bernstadt, Ky.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 8, at the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Lawrence Cornelius and Carman Brewer officiating. Burial followed in the Litton Cemetery
at East Bernstadt.
Pallbearers were Josh Durham, Brian Helton, Jamie Malicoat, Andy Miller, Richie Smith, Jimmy Smith and Jerry Thompson.
Carlos A.J. Moore

Carlos A.J. Moore, 81, of Eaton, Ohio, died Friday, August 4, 2000, at the McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital in Oxford, Ohio.
Born October 29, 1918, in Iona, Kentucky, he received his education in the Twin Branch Kentucky schools. He was a bore operator for the Ford Motor Company in Sharonville, Ohio, a member of the Paducah Baptist Church, and attended the Cherry Valley Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mollie (Gill) Moore and Andrew Moore; his wife of 58 years, Mary E. (Felty) Moore; three sisters, Edith Lee, Annie Robinson and Dora Wilson; and two brothers, Elmer Moore and Edward Moore.
Survivors include a daughter, Marlene Garland of Eaton, Ohio; two sons, Carlos D. Moore and wife Juanita of Camdon, Ohio, and Marvin D. Moore and wife JoAnne of Lebanon, Tenn.; a sister, Lavada Murry of Lancaster, Calif.; a brother, Russell Moore of Hollywood, Fla.; five grandchildren, Don garland, Brian Garland, Carla Cooper, Joseph Moore and Brian Moore; and five great-grandchildren, Ryan Garland, Brandon Garland, Billy Shane Rigsby, Jeremy Garland and Amber Cooper.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 8, at the Webb-Noonan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Raymond Parks officiating. Burial followed in the Rose Hill Burial Park.

Hazel Laverne Carty Willis, 81, of Barbourville, Kentucky, died Friday, August 4, 2000, at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
Born April 17, 1919, at Jarvis, Kentucky, she and her husband were owners and operators of Joe Willis Grocery on old U.S. 25E, and she was a member of the "Homebound" at East Barbourville Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lola (Beaty) Carty and Charlie C. Carty; a sister, Ethel Hall; a brother, Hobert Carty; and two brothers-in-law, Howard Hall and Garrard Morris.
Survivors include her husband of more than 59 years, Joe E. Willis of Barbourville, Ky.; a son, Larry J. Willis and wife Marilyn Sue of London, Ky.; a sister, Effie Morris of Fayetteville, N.C.; a sister-in-law, Georgia Carty of London, Ohio; her special caregivers, Terri Shelton and Tina Bright; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, August 7, at the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Vandy officiating. Interment followed in the Barbourville Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Tony Todd, Dr. Benny Wilson, George Hammons, James A. Miles Sr., Wilbur Bingham, Russell Pope, David Willis, Terry Johnson, Wendell Hall, Gholdson Lloyd, and the Rev. Earl Hammons. Honorary pallbearers were all friends and neighbors of the Willis family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucy (Tankersley) Rader and Ambrose Rader.
Survivors include her husband, Fred Schott of London, Ky.; a son, Gayle Schott of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; a sister, Marie Pennington of Questa, N.M.; a granddaughter, Sherree Macemon of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and a great-grandson, Andrew Macemon of Murfreesboro, Tenn.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 8, at the House-Rawlings Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Terry Lester officiating. Burial followed in the St. Johns Cemetery
