Edmonia "Mimi" Frazee Hackney, 59, of South Main Street, London, Kentucky, died Saturday, June 16, 2001, at the home of her daughter on North Mill Street in London.
Born August 19, 1941, in London, Kentucky, she was a teacher in the Laurel County Public Schools and a member of the Jehovah's Witness Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, William R. Ormsby.
Survivors include her mother, Jane (Tudor) Ormsby of London, Ky.; her husband, Jacob Hackney of London, Ky.; a daughter, Jane Elizabeth Brown of London, Ky.; two brothers, Steve Ormsby and Harry Ormsby, both of London, Ky.; and two grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, at the House-Rawlings Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steve Hurst officiating. Burial will be in the A.R. Dyche Memorial Park at London.
There is no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to The American Diabetes. Association, American Heart Association, or the charity of your choice.

Doris Rose Adams Hedrick
Apartment manager
Doris Rose Adams Hedrick, 68, of Bullock Drive, London, Kentucky, died Friday, June 15, 2001, at the Marymount Medical Center in London.
Born September 6, 1932, in Laurel County, Kentucky, she was an office manager for the Thunderbird Apartments and a member of the Sinking Creek Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eliza Alice Hibbard and James Adams; and a son, Wayne Johnson.
Survivors include her husband, Virgil Hendrick of London, Ky.; two daughters, Rhonda Roberts of Manchester, Ky., and Sherri Hundley of London, Ky.; seven sons, Danny Johnson and Joe Hedrick, both of South Lebanon, Ohio, Jerry Hedrick, Phillip Hedrick, Rick Hedrick, Gary Hedrick and Jerry Michael House, all of London, Ky.; a brother, Fred Adams of Hamilton, Ohio; 29 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 19, at the London Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rob Napier, the Rev. Mike Wynn, the Rev. Jerry Lewis, and the Rev. Bobby Helton officiating. Burial followed in the Dunn Cemetery at Sinking Creek in Laurel County.
Pallbearers were Doug Hedrick, Andrew Hedrick, Chris Hedrick, Les Hedrick, Dewayne Hedrick, Brandon Hedrick, David Hedrick and Timothy Hedrick.

J.B. Grimes
Plumber
J.B. Grimes, 63, of Fourth Street, London, Kentucky, died Wednesday, June 13, 2001, in Lexington, Kentucky.
Born March 23, 1938, in Perry County, Kentucky, he was a self-employed plumber and believer in the Pentecostal faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Callie (Maggard) Grimes and Johnny Grimes.
Survivors include three sons, Chris Grimes of Ohio, J.J. Grimes of Dalton, Ga., and Gary Grimes of McKee, Ky.; two daughters, Tina Grimes of Dalton, Ga., and Callie Grimes of McKee, Ky.; six sisters; two brothers; a special niece, Crystal Dawn Grimes; and two close friends, Karen Oldham and Carol Starr.
Memorial services were held Monday, June 18, at the House-Rawlings Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bobby Helton officiating.

Thomas Wyatt
Maintenance worker
Thomas Wyatt, 85, of George Road, London, Kentucky, died Saturday, June 16, 2001, at the Marymount Medical Center in London.
Born September 15, 1915, in Laurel County, Kentucky, he was a maintenance worker for Laurel Grocery Company and member of the East Bernstadt Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lydia (Widmer) Wyatt and Leonard Wyatt; his wife, Dorothy (Cox) Wyatt; and two brothers, Charley Wyatt and Raymond Wyatt.
Survivors include two daughters, Elaine Cottongim and Joyce Dotson, both of London, Ky.; a sister, Corrine Hall of Cincinnati, Ohio; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 19, at the House-Rawlings Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Felty, the Rev. Ike Proffitt and the Rev. Lynn Dotson officiating. Burial followed in the Snuffer Cemetery at East Bernstadt.

Harold Storm
Coach, educator, businessman
Harold Storm, 78, of Old Whitley Road, London, Kentucky, died Saturday, June 16, 2001, at his residence.
Born January 27, 1923, in Laurel County, Kentucky, he was a former high school principal, Hall of Fame coach, founder of Storm Security, veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving in the Pacific Theater during World War II, co-founder of the Laurel-London Little League, and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rusa (Taylor) Storm and Clarence Storm; and two sisters, Juanita Storm and Jewell Storm Vires.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred (Owens) Storm of London, Ky.; a daughter, Gail Storm of London, Ky.; four sons, Jim Storm, Phil Storm and Bob Storm, all of London, Ky., and Rick Storm of Carlisle, Ky.; a brother, Lake Storm of Indiana; 19 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, at the London Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Douglas McIntosh, Dr. James Blaylock, the Rev. Richard Moore and Ronnie Ball officiating. Burial will follow in the A.R. Dyche Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Donevon Storm, Brandon Storm, Curtis Storm, John Phillip Storm, Richard Storm, Zachary Storm, James Moore, Jordan Carnahan, Mark McDaniel and Scott Wright.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Harold Storm Scholarship fund at South Laurel High School.

Jean Marie Wynn

Jean Marie Wynn, 73, of Spring Street, London, Kentucky, died Monday, June 11, 2001, at the Central Baptist Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Emma (Barrett) and William Grant, and was preceded in death by her husband, William Wynn.
Funeral services were held Thursday, June 14, at the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Earl Bowling Cemetery at East Bernstadt, Kentucky.

Charley Gray
Retired telephone co-op manager
Charley Gray, 71, of McKee, Kentucky, died Wednesday, June 13, 2001, at his residence. He was the son of the late Ethel (Steele) and Silas Gray, and was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Parrett Gray.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 15, at the Justice Funeral Home Chapel in McKee, with burial following in the Gray Family Cemetery at McKee.

Effie Gilbert

Effie Gilbert, 96, Christian Health Center, Lexington, died Thursday, June 14, 2001, at the UK Medical Center, Lexington. She was the daughter of the late A.B. and Lucy (Combs) McIntosh, and was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Hobbs Gilbert.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 17, at the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in the Wiggington Cemetery, London.
