Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 17, at the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in the Gilbert Family Cemetery, London.
Larry Shane Huff
Larry Shane Huff, 18, of Moore Road, London, Kentucky, died Sunday, June 10, 2001, at his residence.
Born August 31, 1982, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was a member of the Poynters Chapel Church of Christ in Bald Rock, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, John Huff.
Survivors include his parents, Debbie (Moore) Huff of London, Ky., and Larry Huff of Cincinnati, Ohio; a brother, Steven Huff of London, Ky.; his maternal grandparents, Florence Moore and Albert Moore, both of London, Ky.; his paternal grandmother, Gertrude Huff of Cincinnati, Ohio; two great-grandmothers, Pearl Alsip and Myrtle Hensley, both of London, Ky.; four uncles, Dale Moore and Henry Price, both of London, Ky., Oliver Huff and James Huff, both of Cincinnati, Ohio; and two aunts, Mae McGee and Sara Seitz, both of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 13, at the Poynters Chapel Church of Christ with Ronnie Hale and Richard Moore officiating. Burial followed in the Poynters Chapel Cemetery
at Bald Rock under the direction of Bowling Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Chad Alsip, David Alsip, Brian Farmer, Joey McIntosh, Nathan Prewitt, Johnny Price, Ronnie Reams and Kenny Vaughn.

Maude Sams Gregory, 80, of Chamberlain Drive, Lexington, Kentucky, a former resident of Laurel County, died Tuesday, June 12, 2001, at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Emily (Hibbard) and Richard Sams, and was preceded in death by her husband, John Gregory.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, June 15, at the East 80 Holiness Church with burial to follow in the Rough Creek Cemetery
under the direction of House-Rawlings Funeral Home. Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Friday at the church.

Delmer M. Phipps, 52, of Gray, Kentucky, died Tuesday, June 12, 2001, at the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Doris (Parks) and Chester B. Phipps; and his first wife, Linda Phipps. He is survived by his wife, Beverly (Warren) Phipps of Gray, Ky.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the Corbin Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Brafford Cemetery.

Jess W. Nicholson, 77, of Tomcat Trail, London, Kentucky, died Monday, June 11, 2001, at the Marymount Medical Center in London.
Born November 29, 1923, in Clay County, Kentucky, he was a retired employee of General Motors and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thena (Owens) Nicholson and John Nicholson; a son, Johnny Wayne Nicholson; a brother, Monty Gene Nicholson; and a grandson, Jonathan Scott Nicholson.
Survivors include his wife, Eunice (Benge) Nicholson of London, Ky.; two sons, Bobby Nicholson and Jimmy Nicholson and wife Linda, all of London, Ky.; a daughter, Cathy Vickers and husband Floyd of London, Ky.; a daughter-in-law, Julie Nicholson of London, Ky.; three brothers, Stanley Nicholson, Don Nicholson and Michael Nicholson, all of London, Ky.; two sisters, Joyce Humfleet and Velna Gilbert, both of London, Ky.; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, June 14, at the House-Rawlings Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Schell and the Rev. Wayne House officiating. Burial followed in the Nicholson Cemetery
at London.
