Charles G. Patton, 76, of North Brookhaven Drive, Somerset, Kentucky, died Saturday, September 29, 2001, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset. He was the son of the late Florence and Henry Patterson, and is survived by his wife, Wanda Patton of Somerset, Ky.
Funeral services were held Monday, October 10, at the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in the Hedrick Cemetery
at London, Ky.

Martha Jewell, 79, of Indianapolis, Indiana, a native of London, Kentucky, died Saturday, September 29, 2001, at the Wishard Memorial Hospital in Indianapolis. She was the daughter of the late Jane (Brummett) and Henry Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 4, at the Forest Lawn Chapel of the Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Home in Greenwood, Indiana, with burial at the Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 3, at the funeral home.
Ralph Hollins

Ralph Hollins, 83, of Spruce Street, Corbin, Kentucky, died Sunday, September 30, at his residence. He was the son of the late Ellen (Holman) and Chester Hollins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Hollins.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 2, at the Corbin Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following at the Felts Chapel Cemetery.
Johnnie B. Wyatt

Johnnie B. Wyatt, 54, of Trafalgar, Indiana, died Saturday, September 29, 2001, as the result of an auto accident south of Peoga, in Brown County, Indiana.
Born June 16, 1947, in London, Kentucky, he owned and operated Wyatt’s Grocery in Peoga, Indiana. He was a member of the Locust Grove Pentecostal Church in Brown County, and in earlier years raced stock cars at the Speedrome Raceway in Indianapolis. He enjoyed collecting knives and guns.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Franklin Wyatt; his wife, Mary E. “Polly” Wyatt, whom he married November 25, 1965, on May 29, 1995; and a son, John John Wyatt on August 31, 2001.
Survivors include his mother, Eulene (Reams) Wyatt Garland of London, Ky.; a daughter, Edith Wyatt Hale of London, Ky.; a son-in-law, Mike Hale; A grandson, Justin Hale of London, Ky.; two sisters, Judy Read of Fairland, Ind., and Rita Garrison of Indianapolis, Ind.; five brothers, Walter Fletcher, Delmas Fletcher, Jim Fletcher and George Wyatt, all of Trafalgar, Ind., and Frank Garland of London, Ky.; and his step-mother, Hazel Wyatt of Trafalgar, Ind.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 3, at the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation in London will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour at Bowling Funeral Home.
A memorial service was held Monday at 8 p.m. in Morgantown at the Meredith-Clark Funeral Home with Walter Fletcher and Jay Griffie officiating.
Burial will follow the local funeral services at the Wyatt’s Chapel Cemetery.

Dennis R. Steele, 53, of Corbin, Kentucky, died Wednesday, September 26, 2001, at the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin. He was the son of the late Gladys (Moore) and Arthur G. Steele, and is survived by his wife, Gladys (Watson) Steele of Corbin, Ky.
Funeral services were held Saturday, September 29, at the Corbin Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in the Steele Family Cemetery.

James Richard Blanton, 31, of Somerset, Kentucky, died Saturday, September 22, 2001, in Monticello, Kentucky. He was the son of Marjorie (Ferguson) and Jerry Blanton of Somerset.
Graveside services were held Saturday, September 29, at the Locust Grove Cemetery
in Keavy under direction of the Corbin Funeral Home.
Billie Smith Pennington
Billie Smith Pennington, 61, of Woodson School Road, London, Kentucky, died Wednesday, September 26, 2001, at the Marymount Medical Center in London. He was the son of the late Bessie (Smith) and Charles Oscar Pennington, and was preceded in death by his wife, Evelene (Feltner) Pennington.
Funeral services were held Saturday, September 29, at the Lakes Funeral Home Chapel in McKee, Kentucky, with burial following in the Mt. Olive Cemetery
in Clay County.

Ida Nell Barnes, 83, of Cross Creek, Demorest, Ga., died Wednesday, September 26, 2001, died at the Gateway Health Care Center, in that city. She was the daughter of the late Lemuel and Sarah (Hubbard) Bruner, and was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Barnes.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 1, at the Mt. Zion Church of Christ, with burial following in the Hubbard Cemetery, Clay County.
House-Rawlings Funeral Home were in charge of arrangements.
Norma Jean Wilson

Norma Jean Wilson, 67, Rooks Road, London, died at her residence on Thursday, September 27, 2001.
A native of Perry County, she was born August 7, 1934, the daughter of the late Brad and Ollie Combs. She was a homemaker, and member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Wilson.
Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Russell, London; three sons, Brad Wilson, Jason Wilson, and Jerry Wilson, all of London; six sisters, Callie Combs, Clay City, Ida Combs, Hazard, Maudell Combs, Brodhead, Beulah Hurley, London, Faye Miller, and Adalene Mullins, both of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 30, at the Bowling Funeral Home chapel, with Eddie Hurley officiating. Burial followed in the McDaniel Cemetery, London.

Robert “Bob” Morris, 62, of Mount Carmel Road, Columbia, Kentucky, a native of Laurel County, died Monday, September 24, 2001, in Sidney, Ohio. He was the son of the late Eva Fee and Robert Morris, and is survived by his wife, Joyce Watson Morris of Columbia, Ky., and his step-father, Herbert Morgan of London, Ky.
Funeral services were held Thursday, September 27, at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in Columbia, Ky.
