Julia McFadden Weaver

Julia McFadden Weaver, 86, of Burnside, Kentucky, died Saturday, June 14, 2003, at her residence with beloved family.
Most knew her as “Granny,” babysitting her twin great-grandboys and planning the family garden. Granny was a strong and easy spirit who amazed everyone who knew her with her vitality for life.
Julia was born September 24, 1916, to parents Westerfield and Dora McFadden in Laurel County, Kentucky. She was a graduate of Lily High School, then united in marriage to William O. Weaver. Julia was a member of Union Church and a dedicated homemaker, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; step-mother, Clara Wyatt McFadden; five brothers, Ed McFadden, Raleigh McFadden, Gilbert McFadden, Arnold McFadden and Ranold McFadden; two sisters, Clara Weaver and Haley Yaden; and a granddaughter, Donna Jean Weaver.
Julia leaves to mourn her passing a son, William R. Weaver and wife Sherry of Hamilton, Ohio; a daughter, Janice Sue Whitaker of Burnside, Kentucky; brothers Harry McFadden and wife Ruby of London, Kentucky, and David McFadden and wife Ida of Lily, Kentucky; a sister, Thelma Taylor and husband Jarvie of Lily, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Wendy Wright and husband Tom of Hamilton, Ohio, Cindy Conrad and husband Rick of Hamilton, Ohio, and Rodney Whitaker and wife Nina of Somerset, Kentucky; five great-grandchildren, T.J. Wright, Courtney Wright, Stuart Whitaker, Tyler Whitaker and Cameron Conrad; as well as many nieces and nephews and dear friends.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, at the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with nephew the Rev. Neal Weaver and the Rev. Richard Christian officiating.
Burial followed in the McFadden Cemetery
at Fariston.
Hobert William Wyatt
Livingston, Kentucky

Hobert William Wyatt, 92, of Livingston, Kentucky, died at 3:39 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2003, at Redding, California.
Born March 23, 1911, to Edgar and Janie (Hodge) Wyatt, he married Lottie King on September 5, 1930, in Hamilton, Ohio. She died October 27, 1999, in Livingston, Kentucky.
Surviving are daughters Freda Hodge of Hamilton, Ohio, Carol (and Dave) Niswonger of Redding, California, Ruth (and Henry) Rogers of Chillicothe, Illinois, Geneva Rucker of Centerville, Tennessee, Rita (and Tom) Fordyce of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, Michelle (and Don) Dover of Cartersville, Georgia; sons are William (and Judy) Wyatt of Edelstein, Illinois, Ralph Wyatt of Salem, Oregon, Earl (and Rosemary) Wyatt of Livingston, Kentucky; three brothers are Bonnie Wyatt of Mars, North Carolina, Glen Wyatt of Hamilton, Ohio, and Danny Wyatt of Hamilton, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by three sons, two sisters, four brothers and one Great-granddaughter.
He has six granddaughters, 15 grandsons, nine great-granddaughters, 17, great-grandsons, and several nieces and nephews.
He worked at Champion Paper in Hamilton, Ohio, L&N Railroad, Madison Hospital and nursing home in Madison, Tennessee.
He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in London, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Friday, June 13, at the House-Rawlings Funeral Home in London, Kentucky. Micah Wyatt of London SDA Church officiated.
Burial followed in the New Salem Cemetery
in London.
Annasticia Elaine Bailey
London, Kentucky

Annasticia Elaine Margie Bailey was stillborn on Thursday, July 31, 2003, at the Marymount Medical Center in London, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Pearl (Carson) Shepherd of London, Kentucky, and Gary Bailey of Eminence, Kentucky.
Graveside funeral services were held 2 p.m. Sunday, August 3, at the Pittsburg Cemetery
in Pittsburg, Kentucky, under the direction of the London Funeral Home.
Charles Elliott
Corbin, Kentucky

Sgt. Charles “Charlie” Elliott, 57, of Joey Durham Lane, Corbin, Kentucky, died Friday, August 1, 2003, at the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin.
The son of Nona Calhoun Elliott and the late Ray Elliott, he was born August 22, 1945, in Benham, Kentucky. He was a member of the Wings of Victory Church and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Sgt. Elliott was with the Kentucky State Police Harlan Post, with over 30 years of service.
Survivors include his mother, Nona Calhoun Elliott of Benham, Kentucky; his wife, Corene Jones Elliott of Corbin, Kentucky; a son, Ernie Elliott of Houston, Texas ; two daughters, Sandy Elliott of St. Louis, Missouri, and Linda Chaffin and husband Dale of Corbin, Kentucky; a brother, Donald Elliott and wife Trish of Niceville, Florida; three grandchildren, Brooke Maxwell, Paige Maxwell and Blake Edward Chaffin; two nieces, Jinjin Elliott and Annie Elliott; and a hose of family and friends who will mourn his passing.
He will be remembered by his family and others who were family to him, his troopers, and those he loved and worked with at the Harlan Post.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, at the Immanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Tilmon Bargo, the Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton and the Rev. Charlie Humfleet officiating.
Burial followed in the Pine Hill Cemetery
under the direction of the Corbin Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were K.Y. Fuson, Jeff Anderson, Kelly Farris, Gary Martin, Mike Reichenbach, Don Reynolds, John Root and Jack Riley.
Honorary pallbearers were the Kentucky State Police troopers with whom he worked.
The family would like to take this opportunity to express their appreciation to Dr. Bobby R. Turner and all of those in the CCU at Baptist Regional Medical Center for all their kindness and their care.

Sam Hammons, 83, of Dripping Springs Road, Manchester, Kentucky, died Friday, August 1, 2003, at the Marymount Medical Center in London, Kentucky.
Born January 15, 1920, in Clay County, Kentucky, he was a welder with General Motors and was a member of the New Salem United Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nancy Belle (Buttrey) Hammons and Richard Hammons; and his wife, Nancy Wilma (Hubbard) Hammons.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Layton of Indianapolis, Indiana; two sons, Larry Hammons and Sammy Hammons, both of Manchester, Kentucky; three brothers, Bill Hammons, Doc Hammons and Roy Hammons, all of London, Kentucky; two sisters, Elsie Benge of London, Kentucky, and Eva Hedrick of Hamilton, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted 1 p.m. Monday, August 4, at the London Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Paul Ertman and Bro. Merle Owens officiating.
Burial followed in the Martin Cemetery
at Manchester, Kentucky.
Pallbearers were Sam Hammons, Bob Hammons, David Hammons, Larry Hammons, Billy Joe Layton, Shane Lipps, Russell Hammons and Leroy Benge.
Aubrey W. Langley
London, Kentucky

Aubrey W. Langley, 82, of Blackwater Road, London, Kentucky, died Tuesday, August 5, 2003, at the Marymount Medical Center in London.
Born April 3, 1921, in Laurel County, Kentucky, he was a retired Kentucky Highway Department employee and a farmer, a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and a member of the Blackwater United Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Myrtle (Taylor) Langley and Ira Langley; two brothers, Ira Opel Langley and Clyde Langley; and a sister, Vera Gregory.
Survivors include his wife, Edna (Parsley) Langley of Blackwater, Kentucky; two daughters, Wanda Queen and Sue Brock, both of Blackwater, Kentucky; two sons, Don Langley and Wayne Langley, both of Blackwater, Kentucky; a brother, Estil Langley; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, August 8, at the London Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Denvis Rush and the Rev. Terry Gabbard officiating.
Burial will follow in the Langley Family Cemetery
at Blackwater.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Langley, Keith Langley, Michael Langley, Pat Sweet, Jason Jackson, Rusty Brock and Brandon Queen.
