Green Whitman Royce Triplett V, 14, of Scenic Drive, Vine Grove, Kentucky, died Thursday, January 29, 2004, in Meade County, Kentucky, as the result of an automobile accident.
Born March 8, 1989, in Corbin, Kentucky, he was a student at Stuart Pepper Middle School where he played football. He had a passion for horseback riding and was affiliated with the Pentecostal faith.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Green Triplett
Survivors include his parents, Green Triplett IV of Vine Grove, Kentucky, and Margie Holtman of London, Kentucky; two sisters, Billie Jo Triplett and Sheena Triplett, both of London, Kentucky; a brother, Scott Triplett of Lily, Kentucky; and his two grandmothers, Lila Brionez of Vine Grove, Kentucky, and Ada Price of Corbin, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, at the Fariston Baptist Church with Sister Jean Sherman, Pastor Joe Metcalf and Pastor Junior Jones officiating.
Burial will follow in the McFadden Cemetery at London under the direction of the Bowling Funeral Home.

Bertha V. Parratt
London, Kentucky
April 21, 2004
Bertha V. Parratt, 85, Chippewa Lane, London, died Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington.
Born on October 15, 1918 in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Dave and Linda Truett Vaughn. She was a restaurant operator and cook.
Survivors include her husband, Edwin W. Parratt, London; a step-son, Elmer G. Parratt, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; a sister, Georgia Hale, Franklin, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Pauline Robbins, and a grandchild.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 24, at the House-Rawlings Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Helton officiating.
Burial followed in the Nichols Cemetery, Bond, Ky.

Raleigh Dayton Ryser
East Bernstadt, Kentucky
April 22, 2004
Mr. Raleigh Dayton Ryser, 79, of August Way, East Bernstadt, born March 23, 1925 in East Bernstadt, on the home site where he lived at his death, died Thursday, April 22, 2004, at 10:04 a.m.
He was the son of the late Elmer August and Bertha Williams Ryser. He was married to Toni Bales on June 14, 1947. He is survived by three children, Kandy Sutton, Raleigh Dayton (Bo) Ryser II and Kim Ryser, all of East Bernstadt; nine grandchildren, Mequeil Sutton Storm, and Raleigh Dayton (Rocky) Ryser III, both of London, Benjamin Ryser Sutton, Liza Lea Ryser, Victory Hubbell Ryser Williams, Toni Blake Williams, Austin Clay Williams, Bo Langdon Ryser and Lauren Pate Williams, all of East Bernstadt; two great-grandchildren, James Sutton (Jimmy) Storm and August Ryser Storm, both of London; two sisters, Lorene Jones and Ellouise Dobbs, both of London.
Mr. Ryser was a member of First Baptist Church East Bernstadt, and was the song leader of the Brotherhood Choir from 1963 until his death. He was the founder of Ryser’s Inc., in 1969 and was active in his family business until 1999.
Honorary pallbearers were the Men’s Bible Class at First Baptist Church East Bernstadt.
Pallbearers were Rocky Ryser, Benjamin Storm, Hubbell Williams, Austin Williams, Donevon Storm, Chuck Inman and Edward Reid.
Funeral services and visitation were conducted at First Baptist Church East Bernstadt on Saturday, April 24. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until the funeral hour at 7 p.m. The funeral service will be officiated by the Rev. Kenneth Felty, the Rev. David Hawkins, Dr. Earl Clark and the Rev. Jeff Lewis.
Interment will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 25, 2004, at the St. John’s Reform Swiss Cemetery, East Bernstadt.
London Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.

Euna A. Helton
Corbin, Kentucky

Euna A. Helton, 82, of Corbin, Kentucky, died Monday, May 31, 2004, at the Marymount Medical Center in London, Kentucky.
She was born on May 25, 1922, in Whitley County, Kentucky, a daughter to the late Sherman Walker and the late Jenice Campbell Walker. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, B.B. Helton; one brother, Lonnie L. Walker; and two sisters.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Trinity Methodist Church.
Survivors include one son, Boyd B. Helton and wife Tina of London, Kentucky; two daughters, Joyce Ann Steele and husband Ralph of Burlington, Kentucky, and Trudy Lynn Blankenship and husband David of Corbin, Kentucky; two brothers, Dewey Walker of Louisville, Kentucky, and Charlie Bill Walker of Lexington, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Ralph Birchel Steele and wife Teena, Bianca Hawkins and husband Jason, Sarah Helton and husband Josh Gilbert, William Helton, Carissa Helton, Cheyenne Helton, Joshua Blankenship and Jessica Blankenship; and two great-grandchildren, Bryson Steele and Natasha Steele.
Funeral services were conducted at noon Thursday, June 3, at the Corbin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating.
Burial followed in the Resthaven Cemetery. Pallbearers were Boyd Gilbert, Josh Gilbert, Jason Hawkins, Josh Blankenship, William Helton and Ralph Steele.

Nora Harris Combs Iseral, 84, of Crittenden, Kentucky, formerly of Laurel County, Kentucky, died Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at the Grant Manor Health Care Center in Williamstown, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, June 4, at the Eckler-Hudson Funeral Home in Dry Ridge, Kentucky, with burial following in the Crittenden Cemetery.

Billy R. Maxey, 68, of Reams Street, London, Kentucky, died Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at the Marymount Medical Center in London.
Born June 2, 1935, in Laurel County, Kentucky, he was affiliated with the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emily Maxey and Esley Maxey; a son, Michael Ray Maxey; two sisters, Gracie Maxey and Hazel Maxey; and a brother, James Maxey.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Maxey of London, Kentucky; two sons, Vernon Maxey and William Maxey, both of London, Kentucky; three sisters, Iva Lee Kemper of Springboro, Ohio, Eva Pearl Lawson of London, Kentucky, and Margie Sodoti of Sandusky, Ohio; three brothers, Andrew Maxey of London, Kentucky, Howard Maxey of Evansville, Indiana, and Esley Maxey Jr. of Franklin, Ohio; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, June 4, at the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Dallas Riggs and Bobby Helton officiating.
Burial will follow in the West London Cemetery.
