Mary Ruth Williams, age 33, of Keavy, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, October 16, 2004, at The Heritage Nursing Home in Corbin, Kentucky. She was a daughter to the late Paul and Lottie Kate Laney.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 19, at the Corbin Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in the Locust Grove Cemetery at Keavy.

Helyne Adams Wolfe
Helyne Adams Wolfe, age 87, of Carnaby Square Apartments, London, Kentucky, passed away Monday, October 11, 2004, at the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin, Kentucky.
Born March 29, 1917, in Laurel County, Kentucky, she was a retired worker with the Social Security office.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Scott Adams and Susie Whitis Adams; and husband, Edward Wolfe.
Survivors include nieces and nephews Jacqueline Zieglre, Willa Micciche, Philip Adams, Kenneth Adams, Scott Adams, Dixie Miller, Barbara Levi and Gordon Jones Jr.; and a sister, Ida Jones of Versailles, Kentucky.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, October 15, at the House-Rawlings Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Jervis and the Rev. Greg Deaton officiating.
Burial followed in the Warrens Grove Cemetery at London.

Grace Helton Hocker
Grace Helton Hocker, age 73, of Farris Jones Road, East Bernstadt, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2004, at the Baptist Regional Medical Center in London, Kentucky.
Born October 13, 1931, in Laurel County, Kentucky, she was a factory worker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed Helton and Clemma Hibbitts Helton; her husband, Kenneth O'Neil Hocker; a daughter, Ruth O'Neil; a sister, Lois Houser Struck; and a brother, Charles Albert Helton.
Survivors include a granddaughter, Lisa Renee Buckles of East Bernstadt, Kentucky; a sister, Ruby Lewis of East Bernstadt, Kentucky; a brother, Stanley "Wiz" Helton of East Bernstadt, Kentucky; and two great-grandchildren, Breanna Chasicy Reams and Victoria Channel Reams.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 17, at the House-Rawlings Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Shannon and the Rev. Bob Dalton officiating. Burial followed in the Murray Cemetery at East Bernstadt.

Wanda Madden Gilbert
Wanda Madden Gilbert, age 81, of Sinking Creek Road, London, Kentucky, passed away Monday, October 11, 2004, at the Marymount Medical Center in London.
Born August 30, 1923, in Harlan County, Kentucky, she was a retired nurse.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ned Madden and Margaret Burkhart Madden.
Survivors include her children, John Brown and wife Bonnie of London, Kentucky, Sue Brown of Indian Springs, Ohio, and Cougar Brown of London, Kentucky; her adopted daughter Maria Hensley of London, Kentucky; brothers and sisters Orville Madden and Bill Madden of London, Kentucky, Bruce Madden of Indiana, Crystal Bennett of Baskerville, Virginia, Sherry Moses of Williamsburg, Kentucky, and Nancy Jones of Flagstaff, Arizona; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 14, 2004, at the House-Rawlings Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in the Liberty Cemetery at London.

Troy Bill Baker
Troy Bill Baker, age 65, of Taylor Subdivision, London, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2004, at the Marymount Medical Center in London, Kentucky.
Born March 31, 1939, in Knox County, Kentucky, he was a factory worker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert Baker and Edith Rose Baker.
Survivors include children Darrell Baker, Eric Baker, Steve Baker, Teresa Triplett and Jamie Baker, all of London, Kentucky; sisters Ruth Durham and Mary Durham, both of Batavia, Ohio, Wilma Wyrick of Corbin, Kentucky, and Linda Brown of Cincinnati, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 16, at the Full Faith Church of God with Bro. Marlow Napier and Bro. Johnny Day officiating. Burial followed in the Lickliter Cemetery at London.

Carl Wendell Ridener
Carl Wendell Ridener, age 44, of Park Subdivision, London, Kentucky, died Wednesday, October 13, 2004, at the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Bessie (Depew) Ridener and Paul Ridener, and is survived by his wife, Kathy (Wagers) Ridener of London.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, October 15, at the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in the Lynn Camp Cemetery.

Glen Dale Rush

Glen Dale Rush, age 63, of Willie Cheek Road, London, Kentucky, passed away Friday, December 3, 2004, at the Marymount Medical Center in London.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Rush and Julie Ann (Gregory) Rush.
Survivors include his wife, Jewell Sasser Rush of London, Kentucky; children Flora "Cricket" Rush, Tollie James Rush and Tammy Denise Smallwood, all of London, Kentucky; a brother and sisters, Ora and Arie Rush of Bedford, Indiana, Mary Benge of London, Kentucky, Jean Cox of Bedford, Indiana, Helen and Tom Alexander of Hebron, Indiana, Betty and John Throwbridge of Mt. Washington , Kentucky, and Delora and Carl Koehlinger of Des Moines, Iowa; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 7, at the House-Rawlings Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in the Sasser-Smith Cemetery.

Elizabeth Wyatt Broughton
Elizabeth Wyatt Broughton, age 84, of O.H. Black Lane, London, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2004, at the Marymount Medical Center in London.
Born July 30, 1920, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Gibson and Louann Foister Wyatt; and her husband, Walter Broughton.
Survivors include children Gary Broughton of London, Kentucky, Phyllis Springfield of Frankfort, Kentucky, Charles Broughton of Richmond, Kentucky, and Walter Eugene Broughton of Buea Visa, Arizona.; a sister-in-law, Barbara Wyatt of Homosassa Springs, Florida; six grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 8, at the House-Rawlings Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Keith Short officiating. Burial will follow in the Swiss Colony Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bill Gambrel, Mark Adams, Jack Fouts, Bryan Dunaway, Chris Murphy and Jeff Overstreet. Honorary pallbearers are Wallace Black, Dr. Mark Adams, Billy Dezern, Wedg Thomason, Darrell Spurlock and David Posiey.

Elizabeth Christine Chesnut Clotfelter
Elizabeth Christine Chesnut Clotfelter, age 83, died Sunday, December 5, 2004, at her home in Versailles, Kentucky.
Born in East Bernstadt, Kentucky, Ms. Clotfelter graduated from Eastern Kentucky University and the University of Kentucky with a master's degree in business and education. Before teaching, Ms. Clotfelter was the church secretary for First Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee, a bookkeeper for Laurel County Kentucky Utilities, and a business partner in Dyche Jones Food Stores of London. She retired from teaching at Henry Clay High School in Lexington, Kentucky, in 1984 after 25 years. Ms. Clotfelter was a member of the Versailles Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Paula Clotfelter Haynes and son-in-law Danny Hardin Haynes of Versailles, Kentucky; two grandsons, Jennings Burrell Haynes of Lexington, Kentucky, and Matthew Hardin Haynes of Wetumpka, Alabama; a sister, Pauline Jones of Richmond, Kentucky; and a brother, Don Chesnut of London, Kentucky.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 7, at the Versailles Baptist Church with the Rev. John Brandon officiating.
Burial followed at 3:30 p.m. in the A.R. Dyche Memorial Park at London with the Rev. Gilbert Sargent presiding at the committal.
Memorials are suggested to the Oneida Baptist Institute, P.O. Box 67, Oneida, KY 40972, or to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 208 Steele Street, Frankfort, KY 40601.
Blackburn and Ward Funeral Home in Versailles was in charge of arrangements.

Eleanor Browning Elliott
Eleanor Browning Elliott, age 84, of London, Kentucky, formerly of Bell County, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2004, at the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin, Kentucky.
She was born at Four Mile on April 8, 1920, the daughter of the late Bill and Belle Hendrickson Browning. She was a member of the Baptist church and had been a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Elliott; and sisters and brothers Maxine Rowland, Cecil Browning, Garnet Reynolds and Mabel Williams.
Survivors include her children, Wayne Elliott of London, Kentucky, Jerry and Phyllis Elliott of London, Kentucky, and Roger and Maxine Elliott of Erie, Michigan; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters Gladys Petokas of Los Angeles, California, and Gerladine Wood of Harrogate, Tennessee; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, December 6, at the Arnett and Steele Funeral home in Pineville, Kentucky, with the Rev. W. Terrell Gibson officiating.
Burial followed in the Jenson Cemetery. Pallberers were family and friends.
