GABRIEL MARTT

Gabriel Stuart Martt, born July 12, 1982 in Lexington, died Monday March 3, 2008 of natural causes.

Gabe was a very special child. He was born with cerebral palsy and was profoundly affected. His life was one of many struggles, but also filled with love. His helplessness brought out the best in our family as we were able to love and care for him in our home for 20 years. Gabe taught us that human life is sacred, not because we are productive, but only because we are all children of God. When it became necessary to relinquish him to the care of others, God led us to the Galilean Home in Casey County where he lived for the last five years. Our hearts have always grieved for the loss of who he was meant to be, but now we rejoice for who he is in Heaven.

Gabe is survived by his parents, Stuart and Janice Martt of Harrodsburg; two sisters, Courtney (Casey) Watts and Brittany Martt; one brother, Weston Martt; grandmother, Goldia Martt of Harrodsburg; grandfather, Walter Wiseman of Hamilton, OH and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
