Hattie Doane Martin, 94, of Florence, died at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Luke Hospital West in Florence. She was a homemaker and a member of Marcus Crooked Creek Baptist Church, Pendleton County, where she had taught Sunday school. Her husband, Chester Martin, died in 1990.

Survivors include a son, Leroy Martin of Dayton, Ohio; daughters, Eloise Link and Evelyn Munson, both of Florence; brothers, Chester Doane of Florence and Audrey Doane of Covington; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown. Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge. Memorials are suggested to the church or to charity.

Linda Rich Penick, 48, of Piner, died Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, Covington. Arrangements are pending at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence.

Elmo Pribble, 80, of Butler, died Monday at River Valley Nursing Home in Butler. He was a farmer and a member of Pleasant Hill Christian Church, Pendleton County. He was a World War II veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Billie Pribble of Butler; sons, Mike Pribble and Tony Pribble, both of Butler; daughters, Karen Annunziata of Longwood, Fla., Sylvia McClanahan of Falmouth, Gladys Smith and Judy Pribble, both of Butler; brothers, Tom Pribble of Butler, Lyle Pribble of Demossville and David Pribble of Falmouth; a sister, Ruby Owen of Butler; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Peoples Funeral Home, Butler. Visitation will be 5 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Butler Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Pleasant Hill Christian Church or Concord Methodist Church.

Loretta Renfro, 73, of Covington, died Sunday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North in Covington. She was a retired employee of Booth Hospitals, Covington and Florence, and a member of Ninth Street Baptist Church in Covington.

Survivors include a daughter, Betty Stillwell of Cincinnati; a son, Larry Henderson of San Diego, Calif.; a brother, Wallace Oden of Covington; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. Visitation will begin there at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Walnut Hills Cemetery, Cincinnati. Jones and Simpson Funeral Home, Covington, is handling arrangements.

Dorothy Sebastian, 58, of Burlington, died at 2:40 p.m. Tuesday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. She was a homemaker and a member of Beech Grove Holiness Church, Burlington.

Survivors include her husband, Granville Sebastian; daughters, Susan Fugate of Union, Robin Abner of Elsmere, Kim Young of Jacksonville, Fla., and Della Kemper of Dry Ridge; sons, Larry Sebastian of Crittenden, Jeff Sebastian and Gary Sebastian, both of Burlington, Ken Sebastian of Crescent Springs, Don Sebastian of Sparta and Brian Sebastian of Cincinnati; sisters, Nina Mae Graziani of Eufaula, Okla., Geneva Mains of Covington, Mildred Elliott of Dry Ridge, Lillian Sebastian of Florence, Sherry Freeman of Erlanger and Della Isbel of Paducah; brothers, Sam Johnson and Eddie Johnson, both of Dry Ridge, Noah Johnson of Visalia, Jim Johnson of Union, Richard Johnson of Williamstown and George Johnson of Burlington; and 20 grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Stith Funeral Home, Florence. Burial will be in Belleview Cemetery.

Edgar L. Shaffer, 88, of Southgate, died at 5:15 p.m. Monday at St. Charles Care Center in Ft. Wright. He was a retired truck driver with Model Laundry, Cincinnati, and a member of Teamsters Local No. 185, Cincinnati. His wife, Helen C. Shaffer, and daughter, Carol L. Hedger, both died in 1994.

Survivors include sons, Paul Shaffer of Lexington and Richard Shaffer of Alexandria; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Therese Church, Southgate. Visitation will be 8:30 to 10 a.m. Thursday at Alexandria Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery, Ft. Thomas.

Robert Caldwell, owned barber shop

Robert Caldwell's barber shop was a fixture in Edgewood for half a century.

The Caldwell Barber Shop on Dudley Road has long been gone, but some of Mr. Caldwell's former customers remember him with a smile.

"He was certainly a humorist," said Mr. Caldwell's attorney, Gerald Benzinger of Lakeside Park.

Mr. Caldwell died May 15 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North in Covington. He was 93.

Mr. Caldwell's wife, Mayme Grace Ashcraft, died in 1993.

Other survivors include sisters-in-law, Helen Townsend of Lakeside Park and Bessie Faulkner of Edgewood.

Graveside services will be at 9 a.m. Friday at Highland Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell. Allison and Rose Funeral Home in Covington is handling arrangements.

Emmitt Glenwood Booher, 84, of Falmouth, died Wednesday at Harrison Memorial Hospital, Cynthiana. He was a retired Kentucky Department of Transportation employee and a member of Falmouth United Methodist Church. He was a member of Orion Lodge No. 222 F&AM, and Falmouth-Morgan Camp Woodmen of the World Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian Opal Booher; and a sister, Martha Roberts of Hopkinsville.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth.

Mildred M. Buchert, 89, of Bellevue, died at 10 p.m. Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Hospice, Covington. She was a retired waitress and nanny.

Survivors include a daughter, Edwina Winters of Bellevue; sons, Eugene Buchert of San Ramon, Calif., and Bruce Buchert of Panama City, Fla.; a sister, Audrey Gantzer of Cincinnati; three grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren.

Services will be at the convenience of the family. The body was donated to University of Cincinnati Medical School. Don Catchen and Son Funeral Home, Covington, is handling arrangements.

Myrtle Price Earlywine, 74, of Robertson County, died Wednesday at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Cynthiana. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include sons, Jesse Earlywine of Mt. Olivet, Rick Earlywine of Carlisle and Jeffery Earlywine of Cynthiana; daughters, Marlene Linville of Mt. Olivet, Della Quesenberry and Alice Quesenberry, both of Cynthiana; a brother, Frankie Price of Millersburg; sisters, Margaret Elfsass and Ruby Fryman, both of Sidney, Ohio; 27 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Robertson County Funeral Home, Mt. Olivet. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Francis J. Groeber, 84, of Alexandria, died at 10:10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Luke Hospital East, Ft. Thomas. He was a retired machinist with Northrup and Grumman Corp. in Bethpage, N.Y., and an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. His wife, Florence Budd Groeber, died in 1992.

Survivors include daughters, Barbara Kohls of Alexandria and Patricia Groeber of Bethpage, N.Y.; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Alexandria Funeral Home. Burial will be in Alexandria Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Bishop Brossart High School, Grove and Jefferson streets, Alexandria 41001.

Nancy Rosella Lerman, 65, of Cincinnati, died Wednesday at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. She was a Realtor and a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Murray Lerman of Cincinnati; daughters, Lisa Dugan-Manor of Cincinnati and Sanora Lerman of Columbus, Ohio; a brother, George Edward Cook of Michigan; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Forest Lawn Cemetery Chapel, Erlanger. Burial will be in the cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Ruth Lyons Childrens Christmas Fund, in care of WLWT, 140 W. Ninth, Cincinnati 45202. Peoples Funeral Home, Grants Lick, is handling arrangements.

Teresa A. Schneider Oldendick, 84, of Cincinnati, formerly of Bellevue, died Tuesday at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati. She was a homemaker and a member of Dayton Yacht Club. She was a past winner of the Highland Invitational Golf Tournament. Her husband, Joseph H. Oldendick, died in 1986.

Survivors include sons, Joseph A. Oldendick and David J. Oldendick, both of Cincinnati, and Thomas C. Oldendick of Florence; a daughter, Linda Lyons of Cincinnati; a brother, John Schneider of Cincinnati; and eight grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Ann Church in Cincinnati. Visitation will be 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at Frederick Funeral Home, Cincinnati. Burial will be in St. Joseph Old Cemetery, Cincinnati. Memorials are suggested to St. Walburg Monastery, 2500 Amsterdam Road, Villa Hills 41017.

Survivors include a daughter, Trina Penick of Piner; a son, Stephen Smith of Latonia; brothers, Philip Peebles of Piner and Dale Peebles of Dry Ridge; sisters, Teresa Rich Mason of Covington, Joan Peebles Brown and Janice Peebles Combs, both of Piner, and Cherry Peebles Smith of Orange Park, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
