Mary Filer, 70, of Erlanger, died at 10:05 p.m. Tuesday at Lakeside Place nursing home, Highland Heights. Arrangements are pending at Don Catchen and Son Funeral Home, Elsmere.

Joseph A. Gabriel, 58, of Villa Hills, died at 12:12 p.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North, Covington. He was a salesman with C. W. Wood Co., Cincinnati. He also was a member of Villa Hills Civic Club; St. Joseph Church, Crescent Springs; Glenwood Hall Country Club, Perry Park; Machinery Dealers National Association and a former director of the Crestville Fire Authority.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Laber Gabriel; a son, Ed Gabriel of Ft. Mitchell; daughters, Amy Losey of Alexandria, Karen Terry of Independence and Diane Sulentich of Denver; his stepmother, Irene Gabriel of Kettering, Ohio; sisters, Ruth Alice Cummins of Augusta, Edna Mae Soete of Ft. Mitchell and Bobbi Lou Vonderschmidt of Florence; a stepsister, Mary Louise Bourgraf of Cincinnati; and five grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Covington. Burial will be in Mother of God Cemetery, Ft. Wright. Memorials are suggested to the church building fund, 2470 Loraine Court, Crescent Springs 41071.

Donald Andrew Giles, 57, of Wilder, died Monday at his home. He was a technical illustrator with Repro Art, Cincinnati.

Survivors include sons, Mark Giles of Alexandria and Christopher Giles of Erlanger; his father, Rodney Giles of Tennessee; his stepfather, Harold Beach of Bellevue; a sister, Kathy Reed of Cincinnati; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Cooper Funeral Home, Grants Lick. Visitation will begin there at 5 p.m. Thursday. Entombment will be in Evergreen Mausoleum, Southgate.

Memorials are suggested to Campbell County Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 97, Melbourne 41059.

Donna M. Graham, 44, of Parrish, Fla., formerly of Fiskburg, died Saturday at her home of cancer. She was an assistant manager for Horticulture Systems of Parrish, Fla.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Lee Graham of Parrish, Fla.; a daughter, Shonna Lopez of Bradenton, Fla.; sisters, Vernie Almas of Florence, Mona Gail Dance and Mary Jane Thompson, both of Paducah; brothers, Clyde S. Fisk and Jerry L. Fisk of Demossville; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Wilmington Cemetery, Fiskburg. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Southwest Florida, 430 Eighth Ave., West Palmetto, Fla., 34221.

Bessie A. Highley, 93, of Highland Heights, died Sunday at Lakeside Place Nursing Home in Highland Heights. She was a homemaker and a member of First Church of the Nazarene, Newport. Robert F. Highley, died in 1994.

Survivors include sons, Russell Smith of Highland Heights and Robert G. Highley of South Carolina; brothers, Ed Watson of Central Lake, Mich., and Tom Watson of Cobb Hill; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be at noon Thursday at Radel Funeral Home, Newport. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Flour Creek Cemetery, Butler.

George Houston, 69, of Florence, died at 1:40 a.m. today at his daughter's home in Villa Hills.

Mabel Jennings Jones, 97, of Ft. Thomas, died at 6:10 a.m. Monday at Baptist Convalescent Center, Newport. She was a re tired teacher with Newport Board of Education and in Cali fornia, Ky. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Ft. Thomas. Her husband, Lyle M. Jones, died in 1982. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Dobbling Funeral Home, Ft. Thomas. Visitation will begin there at noon Thurs day. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate. Memorials are suggested to the church, 220 S. Ft. Thomas Ave., Ft. Thomas 41075.

James F. McConnell, 72, of Hebron, died at 10:45 a.m. Tues day at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. He was a retired su pervisor with G. A. Gray/Allied Signal Co., Cincinnati, and a dea con at Hebron Baptist Church. He was a member of Hebron Ma sonic Lodge No. 757 F&AM.

Survivors include his wife, El len Frances Osborn McConnell; daughters, Sandra Baker and Donna Bussard, both of Flor ence, and Marilyn Sutton of He bron; a brother, Raymond McConnell of Cynthiana; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thurs day at Middendorf-Bullock Fu neral Home, Hebron. Burial will be in Burlington Cemetery. Me morials are suggested to the church, 1488 Petersburg Road, Hebron 41048.

Nancy Melching, 90, of New port, died Monday at St. Luke Hospital East, Ft. Thomas. She was retired from Wadsworth Watch Co., Dayton.

Survivors include six grand children, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Radel Funeral Home, Newport. Visitation will begin there at 1 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Evergreen Cem etery, Southgate.

Alma Spriggs Moffett, 86, of Lexington, formerly of Northern Kentucky, died at 9:20 p.m. Mon day at Columbia Hospital in Frankfort. She was a homemak er and a member of Erlanger Baptist Church. Her husband, Samuel J. Moffett, died in 1989. A son, Samuel J. Moffett Jr., died in 1994.

Survivors include a daughter, Lynne Cone of Frankfort; sons, Reginald Moffett of Live Oaks, Calif., and Gordon Moffett of Louisville; a sister, Ethel Durbin of Vanceburg; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Walton.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery.

Eunice G. Stiles, 85, of Florence, died at 12:03 p.m. Sunday at St. Luke Hospital West in Florence. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a son, Curtis Stiles of Union; a sister, Jean Saye of Dallas; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at the convenience of the family. Cremation will be at Hillside Chapel, Cincinnati. Don Catchen and Son Funeral Home, Elsmere, is handling arrangements.

Josephine Carol Swinson, 71, of Villa Hills, died Saturday at her home. She was an office manager and partner in The Swinson Agency in Warwick, N.Y.

Survivors include her husband, Erwin Swinson; a daughter, Cheryl Sanders of Harrodsburg; and a sister, Amelia Wisneski of Crescent Springs.

Memorials services will be at June 14 in Warwick, N.Y. Cremation will be at Hillside Chapel, Cincinnati. Memorials are suggested to St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, 401 E. 20th St., Covington 41014. Linnemann Funeral Home, Erlanger, is handling arrangements.
