Beulah D. Hebert

Loving mother, grandmother

JEANERETTE - Funeral services for Mrs. Emile "Toby" Hebert, 77, the former Beulah Dugas, will begin at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at David Funeral Home Chapel of Jeanerette with the Rev. Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will be in Beau Pre Memorial Park cemetery in Jeanerette.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. today, with a 7 p.m. rosary at David Funeral Home, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Sunday until services.

A native of New Orleans and resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Hebert died at 2:15 a.m. Friday, Sept. 1, 2000, at Iberia Medical Center.

Mrs. Hebert was a homemaker and member of the American Legional Auxiliary.

She is survived by two sons, Barrow and Ted Hebert, both of Jeanerette; one brother, Judson Dugas of New Orleans; a sister, Rita Listie of Morgan City; three grandsons, George Hebert of Loreauville, and Joshua Hebert and Barrow Hebert Jr., both of Jeanerette; three granddaughters, Kimeto Hebert of Loreauville, and Lucky Hebert and Bonnie Venable, both of Jeanerette; and eight great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Hebert was preceded in death by her husband, Emile "Toby" Hebert; her parents, Sully and Rosa Chataignier Dugas; five sisters, Mabel Boudreaux, Ethel Buteau, Emily and Madel Hebert and Mercedes Sealy; and a brother, Leonard Dugas.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.

David Funeral Home of Jeanerette is in charge of arrangements.

Ward J. Martin

ST. MARTINVILLE - Funeral services for Ward Joseph Martin, 88, will begin at 11 a.m. today at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church. Interment will be in St. Michael cemetery.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until time of services at Pellerin Funeral Home.

Mr. Martin died Thursday, Aug. 31, 2000, at Lafayette General Medical Center.

He was a longtime supervisor for the city of St. Martinville, and served as mayor pro-tem and councilman. Mr. Martin served as a justice of the peace in St. Martin Parish. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Woodmen of the World.

Mr. Martin is survived by two sons, Dickie Martin and his wife, Kim, of St. Martinville, and Glen Martin of St. Martinville; a daughter, Kitty Degeyter and her husband, Larry, of St. Martinville; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Fuselier Martin; his parents, Oscar and Edna Castille Martin; a brother, Kerney Martin; and two sisters, Gertrude Barilleaux and Birdie Chitty.

Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.

Bernedette Bartie

Services are pending for Bernedette Bartie, 47, who died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2000, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.

Journet and Bolden Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.

Lawrence Davis Sr.

Devoted husband and father

Services for Lawrence "LT" Davis Sr., 67, will begin at 8 p.m. Friday at Journet and Bolden Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Darren Sofas officiating. Interment will be in St. Matthew cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home, which will reopen Saturday at 7:30 a.m.

A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mr. Davis died at 1 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000, at Iberia Medical Center following a brief illness.

Mr. Davis was a devoted husband and loving father.

He is survived by his wife, Egursie "Sis-Sis" Lewis Davis of New Iberia; his son, Lawrence Davis Jr. of New Iberia; four daughters, Cynthia and Sarah Davis, Joyce Pratt and Lillian Joseph, all of New Iberia; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Rosa Davis; his brother, Warren Davis; and two sisters, Alma Davis and Irma Maynars.

Pallbearers will be family members.

Marguerite C. Monnin

Services are pending for Mrs. Fredinand J. Monnin, 83, the former Marguerite Colvin, who died today, Sept. 7, 2000, at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette.

David Funeral Home North, Trotter Street of New Iberia, is in charge of arrangements.

JEANERETTE - Graveside services for Marguerite Colvin Monnin, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. John's cemetery.

Mrs. Monnin died Thursday, Sept. 7, 2000.

Linward J. Boutte

Loving husband and father

LYDIA - Services for Linward John "Bill" Boutte, 56, will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Rev. Richard Fabre and Deacon L.J. Freyou officiating. Entombment will be in the church mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 8-10 p.m. today with an 8 p.m. rosary at the church, which will reopen Saturday from 8 a.m. until the time of services.

A native of Lafayette and a lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mr. Boutte died Monday, Sept. 4, 2000.

Mr. Boutte retired with the Iberia Parish School Board as a maintenance man and worked for the Iberia Council on Aging after his retirement. He was a member of the Holy Name Society at St. Nicholas Catholic Church and was a loving husband, dad and grandpa.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lavern Derbingney Boutte of New Iberia; his daughter, Renee' Lynn B. Myer of Baton Rouge; seven brothers, Dalton J. Boutte of Grand Marais, Glenn P. and Henry Rifford Boutte, both of Houston, James Ernest Boutte of Port Allen, Michael J. Boutte of Dallas, Paul E. Boutte of New Iberia, and Howard Boutte Jr. of Jackson, Miss.; four sisters, Shirley Boutte of New Iberia, Betty J. Boutte-Landry of Lake Charles, Mary "Lonnie" B. Greene of Houston, and Doris B. Rader of Fort Worth, Texas; his granddaughter, Madelyn Elizabeth Myer of Baton Rouge; his son-in-law, Malcolm G. Myer of Baton Rouge; his half brother, Lorona Boutte of Jeanerette; his half sister, Lois B. Muceleland of Atlanta; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Boutte was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Boutte Sr. and Frances Boutte Boutte; and his sister, Dolly Boutte White.

Pallbearers will be Dalton J., Glenn P., Henry Rifford, James Ernest, Michael J., Paul E. and Howard Boutte Jr.

Mary D. Lastrappe

Loving sister and aunt

Services for Mary D. Lastrappe, 73, the former Mary Dauphine, will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Star Pilgrim Baptist Church with the Rev. Francis Davis officiating. Interment will be in St. Edward Catholic Church cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday at the church from 7 a.m. until the time of services.

A native of Youngsville and a lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Lastrappe died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2000, at her residence following a brief illness.

Mrs. Lastrappe was a faithful member of Star Pilgrim Baptist Church.

She is survived by a great-nephew whom she reared as a son, Joseph "June" Collins Jr.; one brother, Freddie Dauphine of New Iberia; two sisters, Beatrice Raymond and Emily Polk, both of New Iberia; two godchildren, Joetta Polk of Atlanta, and Cecile Jacobs of New Iberia; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Lastrappe was preceded in death by her parents, Garfield and Elia W. Dauphine; four brothers, Hypolite, Eddie, Batiste and Adam Dauphine Sr.; and three sisters, Cecelia Mansfield, Lydia Polk and Eunice Jackson.

Pallbearers will be family members.

Honorary pallbearers will be family members.

Paul "T-Paul" Stevens

ABBEVILLE - Services for Paul "T-Paul" Stevens, 74, will begin at 2 p.m. today at St. Theresa Catholic Church with the Rev. Bennerfield officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Magdalen cemetery.

Visitation will be until the time of services today at David Funeral Home.

A native and resident of Abbeville, Mr. Stevens died at 9:25 p.m. Monday, Sept. 4, 2000, at Abbeville General Hospital.

Mr. Stevens was a mechanic and an avid fisherman.

He is survived by one son, John Dave Stevens of Baton Rouge; two daughters, Joanna Stevens Choate of Baton Rouge, and Mrs. Chad (Jeanette) Stevens Simon of Abbeville; one sister, Mrs. Alphe (Louise) Choate of Abbeville; his companion, Wilda Gary of Abbeville; and five grandchildren.

Mr. Stevens was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Rita Broussard Stevens; his parents, Vorice and Elodie Trahan Stevens; and two sisters, Alice Moore and Mrs. Aubrey (Marie) Richard.

Pallbearers will be Cory Choate, Darrell Nguyen, Charles Nugier, Raywood and Scott Stevens, and Douglas Trahan.

Services for Bernadette Bartie, 46, the former Bernadette Henry, will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Church of Christ with the Rev. Roy Williams Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Beau Pre' cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-10 p.m. today at Journet and Bolden Funeral Home Chapel, which will reopen Friday at 7:30 a.m.

A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Bartie died at 7:20 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 3, 2000, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette following a brief illness.

She is survived by her parents, Louis and Mary Louise Brown Henry of New Iberia; two sons, Ronald Alexander Jr. and Kyhemia Alexander, both of New Iberia; one stepson, Avontica Alexander of New Iberia; two daughters, Denesha Alexander Gregoire and Delores Bartie, both of New Iberia; two sisters, Peggy Henry of New Iberia, and Beverly Hall of Stockton, Calif.; and six grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be family members.

Bradley Baudoin II

ERATH - Services for Bradley John "Brad" Baudoin II, 23, will begin at 3 p.m. Friday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with the Rev. Wayne Duet officiating. Entombment will be in the church mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 1-10 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at David Funeral Home, which will reopen Friday from 8 a.m. until 2:45 p.m.

A native and resident of Erath, Mr. Baudoin died at 12:06 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2000, following an automobile accident in New Iberia.

Mr. Baudoin was a 1995 graduate of Erath High School and a May 2000 graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He was a safety coordinator for Omega Service Industries at the Port of Iberia for the last four months. He enjoyed exercising and bodybuilding, which he did on a daily basis, and also enjoyed hunting and motorcycling in his spare time.

He is survived by his parents, Bradley John and Betty LeBlanc Baudoin of Erath; two sisters, Andrea Borel and Nannette Delcambre, both of Erath; his paternal grandmother, Yolande Guilbeaux of Abbeville; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Aldon "Shug" LeBlanc of Erath; two godchildren, Olivia Borel and Camille Delcambre, both of Erath; his nephew, Christopher Borel of Erath; his niece, Emily Delcambre of Erath; and his fiancee, Rosalind Oliva of Erath.

Mr. Baudoin was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Marcel Baudoin.

Pallbearers will be Kerry Broussard, Brandon Cheramie, Christopher Davis, Jude Delcambre, Gregory and John Felix LeBlanc, and David and Lance Ortemond.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Borel, Corey Butaud, Kevin Delcambre and Tommy LeBlanc.

Mamie T. Fields

MOSS BLUFF - Services for Mamie Theresa Fields, 77, will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Theodore Catholic Church with Monsignor Charles DuBois officiating. Interment will be in Ritchie cemetery.

Visitation will from 2-10 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at Hixson Funeral Home, which will reopen Friday from 8 a.m. until the time of services.

A native of Franklin and a resident of Moss Bluff since 1981, Ms. Fields died Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2000, at a local hospital.

Ms. Fields was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church. She worked in an aircraft factory in California during World War II, and in Louisiana she worked as a nurse in a hospital and on private duty. She volunteered with schools and PTA, and spent her life caring for others.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene John Fields of Moss Bluff; her son, Carl Joseph Fields of Moss Bluff; her daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Carolyn Fields) Duhon of Moss Bluff; three sisters, Hilda Henry Hawn of Hitchcock, Texas, Lucy Walden of Franklin, and Mary Jane Rogers of Charenton; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff is in charge of arrangements.

Lennis "T-Coon" Bourque

Loving husband and father

Services for Lennis "T-Coon" Bourque, 81, will begin at 3 p.m. today at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael Guidry officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park cemetery.

Visitation will be until the time of services today at David Funeral Home Downtown, Iberia Street.

A native of Lafayette and a resident of New Iberia, Mr. Bourque died at 1:45 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2000, at Iberia Medical Center.

Mr. Bourque was a retired custodian at Catholic High School with 50 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Adelta Touchet Bourque of New Iberia; three sons, Leroy Babin of Bossier City, David Bourque of Sulphur, and Robert J. Bourque of Baton Rouge; his daughter, Barbara B. Anson of New Iberia; two brothers, Avery and Ingnace Bourque, both of New Iberia; two sisters, Alma B. Delcambre of New Iberia, and Gladys B. Maturin of Coteau; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Bourque was preceded in death by his parents, Ovignac and Arcile Dugas Bourque; two brothers, Edias and Octave Bourque; his sister, Ada B. Gary; his granddaughter, Marie Monteaux; and his great-grandson, Damion Bourque.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Blanchard, Evans, Shawn, Kevin and Robert Charles Bourque, and Lonnie Doucet.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family to help defray funeral expenses.
