Percy Clark

SINGER - Services for Percy Clark, 64, were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, 2000, at Singer Pentecostal Church with Rev. Michael Cole and Rev. A.L. Lyles officiating. Interment was in Good Hope cemetery.

A native of Singer and a resident of New Iberia for the past 20 years, Mr. Clark died Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2000, at De Quincy Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Clark was a member of Singer Pentecostal Church.

He is survived by his father, Burns Clark of Singer; one son, Dennis Clark of Mineral Point, Mo.; three stepsons, Shelby, Shelley and Jr. Hill, all of New Iberia; one daughter, Ann Jones of Sedalia, Mo.; one stepdaughter, Patricia Pearson of West Point, N.Y.; four brothers, Mancel Clark of De Ridder, Larry Clark of De Quincy, and Carroll Gene and Jimmy Burns Clark Jr., both of Singer; three sisters, Bonnie Cooley of Merryville, Donnie Gills of Singer, and Kathy Powers of Orange, Texas; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Myers-Colonial Funeral Home Inc. of De Ridder was in charge of arrangements.

Henry Morgan Jr.

ABBEVILLE - Services for Henry Grady "Tiny" Morgan Jr., 62, will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at Vincent Funeral Home with the Rev. Noah Langley officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon until 10 p.m. today at the funeral home, which will reopen Friday from 8 a.m. until the time of services.

A resident of Erath, Mr. Morgan died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, at his residence.

Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville is in charge of arrangements.

Bryan P. Boutte

Services are pending for Bryan Paul Boutte, 31, who died at 11:02 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000, at a Lafayette hospital.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. at Evangeline Funeral Home, which will reopen Wednesday from 8 a.m. until the time of services.

Evangeline Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.

Blanche D. Armentor

ABBEVILLE - Services for Blanche Delcambre Armentor, 83, will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church with the Rev. Donald Theriot officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be until 10 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at Vincent Funeral Home, which will reopen Friday from 8 a.m. until the time of services.

A resident of Abbeville, Mrs. Armentor died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2000.

Mrs. Armentor was a member of Abbeville Lion's Club Auxiliary, Les Amis Home Demonstration Club, Abbeville Garden Club, St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church and Third Order of the Lay Carmelites.

She is survived by her son, John Wayne Armentor, and his wife, Dolores, of Abbeville; her granddaughter, Kim Hebert, and her husband, Fabion, of Abbeville; her great-grandchildren, Krystin and Caitlyn Hebert, both of Abbeville; her daughter-in-law, Rochelle (Jay) Armentor of Henry; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Armentor was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Armentor; her parents, Augustus Telesmar Delcambre Sr. and Eva B. Delcambre; her son, Lloyd "Jay" Armentor Jr.; eight brothers, Augustus Telesmar Delcambre Jr., Henry Abdon, Ray, Dedier, Fred, James Milton "Red," Carl and Leo Delcambre; and her sister, Hazel D. Morvant.

Pallbearers will be Leonard and Guy Thibodeaux, James and Donald Delcambre, and Alvin and Steffan Primeaux.

The family would like to thank the staff of Sunbridge Care & Rehab Center, the nurses and staff of Abbeville General Hospital, Dr. Link Silar and all those who visited Mrs. Armentor.

Fannie Rener Landor

Loving mother, grandmother

JEANERETTE - Services for Fannie Landor, 76, the former Fannie Rener, will begin at 7 p.m. Friday at Mount Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Arthur L. Jones officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Visitation will be from noon until 3:30 p.m. Friday at Fletcher Funeral Home and will resume at the church from 4 p.m. until the time of services. The church will reopen Saturday at 7:30 a.m. until the 11 a.m. dismissal.

A resident of Jeanerette for many years, Mrs. Landor died at 3:28 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29, 2000, at Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia following a brief illness.

Mrs. Landor was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church and served as a deaconess for many years.

She is survived by her daughter, Cecelia Polk of Jeanerette; two brothers, Herbert Rener of Fresno, Calif., and Timothy Rener of Sacramento, Calif.; two sisters, Rosa R. Lewis of Gibson, and Irene Rener of Pasadena, Calif.; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Landor was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Rener Sr. and Rosa Grant Rener; her son, Herbert Landor Jr.; two grandsons, Michael and Gerald Landor; and four brothers, Carlton Rener Sr., George Rener Sr., Harold Rener Sr. and Ernest Rener Jr.

Pallbearers will be Donald Rener Sr., Carl Rener Sr., Joseph and Derrick Rener, Carlton Rener Jr. and Cedric Alexander.

Honorary pallbearers will be Milton, Herbert, Timothy and Harold Rener Jr., Rev. Samuel Jones, Stuart Ambrose, John Polk Jr., Raymon Jones, Morgan Thomas, Clifford Whitehead, Elton Edwards, and Timothy and Cornell DeClouet Sr.

Fletcher Funeral Home of Jeanerette is in charge of arrangements.

Joseph I. Lege

ABBEVILLE - Services for Joseph Irving Lege, 75, will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at David Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5:30-10 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at the funeral home, which will reopen Friday from 8 a.m. until the time of services.

Mr. Lege died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2000, at the Methodist Hospital in Houston.

Vera M. Nelson

RAPID CITY, S.D. - Services for Vera M. Nelson, 70, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help with the Rev. Dale Kutil officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary cemetery. A memorial has been established.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today with a 7:30 p.m. vigil service at Osheim-Catron Funeral Home.

A native of New Iberia and a resident of Rapid City, S.D., Mrs. Nelson died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000, at Westhills Village Health Care Center following a lengthy battle with emphysema.

Mrs. Nelson was born on March 16, 1930, in New Iberia, to Nassim and Mary (Sarkis) Sarkis. The family moved to South Dakota and she attended school Sturgis, graduating in 1947. On March 3, 1957, she married Donald Nelson in Rapid City, where they remained living. Mrs. Nelson and her husband owned and operated a motel in Rapid City for a number of years and were one of the original owners of the Marine Life tourist attraction there. They were also the current owners and operators of the Blue Lantern Lounge and Casino. Mrs. Nelson will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Nelson of Rapid City; her son, Mark Nelson, and his wife, Patty, of Rapid City; her daughter, Ginger Tait, and her husband, Allan, of Rapid City; six grandchildren, Jonathan, Jordan and Jarrad Tait, and Keith, Tyler and Allysa Nelson, all of Rapid City; her aunt, Minnie Berglund of Sturgis, S.D.; and several cousins including, Dorothy Allison of Sturgis, Honda Sarkies, and his wife, Ina, Georgette Sarkies, and Edwin and Anaise Ashy, all of the New Iberia area.

Osheim-Catron Funeral Home of Rapid City, S.D., is in charge of arrangements.

Jeffery J. Rodrigue

Loving husband and father

DELCAMBRE - Services for Jeffery James Rodrigue, 57, will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas Voorhies officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be until the time of services Friday with a 7 p.m. rosary today at Evangeline Funeral Home, which will remain open all night.

A native of Delcambre and a resident of Abbeville, Mr. Rodrigue died at 11:47 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000, at Abbeville General Hospital in Abbeville.

Mr. Rodrigue was employed with Vermilion Shell & Limestone as a truck driver. Prior to that, he worked with T & L Feed for 28 years.

He is survived by his wife, Clara Baudoin Rodrigue of Abbeville; his mother, Euna Mae Boudreaux Rodrigue of Delcambre; two sons, Michael Rodrigue, and his wife, Stephanie, of Erath, and Patrick Rodrigue of Houston; five daughters, Angie Rodrigue, and her fiance, Kit Gaudin, of Abbeville, Suzette Baudoin of Youngsville, Susanne Baudoin, and Renee Rodrigue Bourgeois, and her husband, Melton R. Bourgeois, all of New Iberia, and Tatum Rodrigue, and her fiance, John Paul Sherman, of Delcambre; three brothers, Philip and Davis Rodrigue, both of Delcambre, and Ira Rodrigue of Cameron; one sister, Kathleen R. Mire of Belle Chase; and six grandchildren.

Mr. Rodrigue was preceded in death by his father, George Rodrigue; his brother, Barry Paul Rodrigue; and an infant sister, Mary Elizabeth Rodrigue.

Pallbearers will be Michael, Seth and Davis Rodrigue, John Paul Sherman, Kit Gaudin, Mel Bourgeois and Brandon Hulin.

Evangeline Funeral Home of Delcambre is in charge of arrangements.

Cecile G. Vincent

Services for Mrs. Sandy Vincent, 86, the former Cecile Gachassin, will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will be in St. Peter's cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary at David Funeral Home North, Trotter Street, which will reopen Saturday from 8 a.m. until the time of services.

Mrs. Vincent died at 6:35 a.m. today, Oct. 5, 2000, at Iberia Medical Center.

Darrell Harris Jr.

Graveside services for Darrell Ray Harris Jr., infant son of Darrell Ray Harris Sr. and Lamandy G. Segura, both of New Iberia, will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Holy Family cemetery.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Darrell died at 9:40 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2000, at Dauterive Hospital.

Albert Jones Sr.

Loving father, grandfather

Services for Albert "Dully" Jones Sr., 83, will begin at 8 p.m. Friday at David Funeral Home Chapel, Downtown, Iberia St. Dismissal and interment will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Paul cemetery.

Visitation will be from 7-10 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

A native of Cypress Island and a resident of New Iberia, Mr. Jones died at 2:14 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28, 2000, at Dauterive Hospital.

Mr. Jones was a retired cement finisher.

He is survived by two sons, Charles Jones of St. Louis, Mo., and Albert Jones Jr. of Houston; two daughters, Laura Francis of Houston, and Velma Perrodin of New Iberia; one brother, Rev. Ernest Jones of Houston; one sister, Hilda Trahan of Monrovia, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents, Fraizer and Neomi JeanLewis Jones; two brothers, Gary Johnson and Norris Jones; and four sisters, Marjorie Calhourn, Agnes Polk, Venida Washington and Alice J. Wilfred.

Pallbearers will be family members.

Calvin Calder Jr.

LAFAYETTE - Services for Calvin Calder Jr., 33, will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Assembly of God Church.

Visitation will be Saturday from 1 p.m. until the time of services at the church.

A native of Beaumont, Texas, and a resident of Lafayette, Mr. Calder died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2000, at his residence following a short battle with cancer.

Services are pending for Joseph Hypolite Jr., 68, who died Monday, Sept. 11, 2000, at his residence.

Sugar cane farmer

FOUR CORNERS - Services for Wilfred Broussard Sr., 72, will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Peter Catholic Church in Four Corners with the Rev. Bill Ruskoski officiating. Interment will be in St. Helen cemetery in Glencoe.

Visitation will be from 8-10 a.m. Monday with a 10 a.m. rosary at the church.

A native and resident of Glencoe, Mr. Broussard died at 5 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2000, at his residence.

Mr. Broussard was a retired self-employed sugar cane farmer.

He is survived by his wife, Alfaretta Ladet Broussard of Glencoe; six sons, Wilfred Broussard Jr. of St. Martinville, John Broussard of Baldwin, Phillip Broussard of Franklin, David Broussard of Jeanerette, Martin Bryan Broussard of Glencoe, and Andre' Broussard of New Iberia; three daughters, Loretta Broussard Booker of Four Corners, Barbara Madison of Jacksonville, Fla., and Michelle Williams of Okinowa, Japan; three brothers, Arthur Broussard Sr. of Glencoe, Alfred Broussard Sr. of Four Corners, and Oday Broussard Jr. of Verdunville; one sister, Mary Paul of Verdunville; 39 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Broussard was preceded in death by his parents and daughter.

MILTON - Graveside services for Erin Jaylee Broussard, infant daughter of Kevin Broussard and Tonya Hebert, were held at 9 a.m. today at St. Joseph cemetery.

Erin died at 6:36 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2000, at Women's and Children's Hospital in Lafayette.
