MRS. MARGARET C. MASON
Services for Mrs. Margaret C. Mason, age 84, of Rayville, LA will be at 2 PM Tuesday, October 17, 2000 at Mulhearn Funeral Home Chapel, Rayville with Rev. W. L. Strong officiating. Burial wil be in Rayville Masonic cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Rayville.
Mrs. Margaret C. Mason died Sunday, October 15, 2000 following a short illness. She was preceded in death by her parents. W. L. Calhoun Sr., and Ruby Parker Calhoun. A sister Caroline Ann Taylor and her husband Malcom L. Mason Sr.
She is survived by her brother W. L. Calhoun Jr. and her son M. L. "Mike" Mason and his wife Shirley J. Mason all of Rayville, LA. She has two granddaughters Connie Brewton of San Antonio, TX and Cindy Holley of Rayville, LA and seven nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Mason was a graduate of Rayville High School and Centenary College. She taught briefly at both Rayville and Holly Ridge High School. She was a longtime member of Memorial Methodist Church in Monroe, LA where she was active in church work and had many lifelong friends. Upon moving to Rayville she transferred her letter to Rayville United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to either church in lieu of flowers.
Pallbearers will be Scott Holley, Larry Calhoun, Bill Pippen, Bob McGowen, Ken Mason and Buddy Harrison.
Honorary pallbearers will be Edward Whatley and Chuck Brewton.
Visitation will be from 1 PM until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.

HENRY EARL REAGAN
CROWVILLE, LA - Henry Earl Reagan was born July 1, 1919 to the union of Eric Lucille Taylor Reagan and Henry Zebulun Reagan. He departed this earth on the morning of October 16, 2000.
He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church of Crowville. He was also a former deacon of Baskin First Baptist Church and North Central Baptist Church. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and told of his baptism of the holy spirit as he traveled overseas to serve the country he so dearly loved. Mr. Reagan often referred to this as his "second birth", and he truly served the Lord in every way from that time until his passing.
He was an educator of Franklin Parish for 35 years. He was an agriculture teacher and principal at Baskin High School He also was principal of Central High School and Crowville High School. He later became Director of the Franklin Parish Media Center.
Twenty-seven years ago he was diagnosed with cancer, but the Lord saw fit to keep him here to serve a while longer. This extended illness did not dampen his spirit, the love of his country, the love for his students, or the love of his church friends and family.
Funeral service for Mr. Reagan will be Wednesday October 18, 2000 at 10 AM at First Baptist Church in Crowville. Burial will follow at Crowville Masonic cemetery with Rev. Carl GuIde and Rev. Marion Collier officiating.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Pat Reagan; two sisters, Effie Bradley and Ruth Dollar; and niece, Carolyn Ruth Dollar.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Marianna Gregory Reagan; daughter Suzonne Reagan Walters and husband, Joe; brother-in-law Larry Pankey and wife Sharyn; granddaughter LeAnna Walters and fiancee, James Neal. He is also survived by daughter of the heart Carol June Reagan Cagle and husband, Denon; grandchildren of the heart Curt Cagle and wife, Sonya, and children; Dawn Hammons and husband, Billy and children; Carla Krueger and husband, David and son. Dearly loved nieces and nephews Patsy Pipes; Marciel Patterson; Betty Sue Harper; Ann and Steve French and children; Effie Lou Christopher and husband, Chris and children; Olan Dollar, Jr. and wife Regina, and Children. Also included are a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be Tony Amos, Don Franklin, Jerry Linder, Tommie Moore, Jr. Reggie Peters, and Eddie Ward.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home and Wednesday from 9 AM until time of service at the church.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Crowville or to a favorite charity.

MR. JAMES A. HIGHTOWER
Services for Mr. James A. Hightower, 84, of West Monroe, LA will be at 11 AM Wednesday, October 18, 2000 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA with Rev. Emile Rousseau and Rev. Johnny Hankins officiating. Burial will be in Twin Cities Memorial Garden in West Monroe, LA.
Mr. Hightower died October 15, 2000 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Hightower was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church and the Men's Sunday School Class. He was retired from Riverwood International with 46 years of service and was an U. S. Navy Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Rhythm Aires Quartet for over 25 years, his love for music was evident, as well as the outdoors, hunting and fishing.
Survivors are his wife of 62 years: Mrs. Claudine M. Hightower of West Monroe, LA; daughters: Barbara Scalia and her husband, J. C. of Galveston, TX; Gail Duke and her husband, Danny of Farmerville, LA; Cheryl Herndon and her husband, Fred of Columbus, MS; brother: Harold Hightower; and sister: Doris Smith, both of Chatham, LA; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth W. Berry, Lennon Inabnet, Wayne Moore, Mark Brooks, Hugh Inabnet and Toby Herndon.
Honorary pallbearers will be Trenton Thompson, D. L. Crowson and members of the Men's Sunday School Class at Asbury Church.
Visitation will be from 5 PM until 9 PM Tuesday and from 9 AM until service time Wednesday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Memorials may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church in West Monroe, LA.

MR. PURVIS NASH
JONESBORO, LA - Mr. Purvis Nash, age 86, of Jonesboro, LA was born April 30, 1914 in Hodge, LA and died Sunday, October 15, 2000 at Lincoln General Hospital.
Visitation was Monday, October 16, 2000 at Edmonds Funeral Home from 4 PM until 9 PM.
Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 17, 2000 at Edmonds Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Dark officiating. Burial will be in Antioch cemetery on Antioch Road North.
Mr. Nash was a retired Power House employee.
Survivors include his sons: Wayne Nash and wife Debbie of Chatham, LA and Glen Nash and wife DeAnn of Jonesboro, LA; sister: Cloteal Pedron and husband Willie of Weston, LA; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Sonny Stephens, Jamie Stephens, John Stephens, Larry Avery, Darrell Avery and D. R. Avery.

RUBY WOODS YOUNG
Ruby Woods Young, was born January 17, 1914, and passed away on Friday, October 13, 2000, at the home of her daughters, in Prattville, AL, after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2000, at 2 PM from the Chaple of Prattville Memorial, with Elder Mack Townsend of the Prattville Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses officiating. Burial will follow at Prattville Memory Gardens with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mrs. Young was a resident of West Monroe, LA for the first 84 years of her life. She was a Jehovah's Witness for the last 58 years until her death. Her lifetime collection of Bible books and literature will be donated to Prattville, AL Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. The past two and a half years, Mrs. Young resided with her daughters, who were her caregivers in Prattville, AL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur E. Young, and by the death of one of two daughters, Helen Young Haynes.
She is survived by one daughter, Dorothy Grayson, Prattville, AL; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; one brother: Elzy J. Woods of Bernice, LA; a devoted sister-in-law: Mrs. Cedric (Geneva) Broussard of Monroe, LA and a host of friends. Pallbearers will be Jason May, Daniel Whiddon, James McBride, Jason McBride, De Undre Smith and Robert Bone.
The family of Ruby Young would like to thank the medical caregivers in West Monroe, LA who attended to her care, including Alpha Home Care, Dr. Don Hammett and Glenwood Regional Medical Center. Also included in her loving care are Dr. Johnnie Strickland and his excellent staff at the Autauga Wellness Center, Prattville Baptist Hospital, Baptist Home Health, Prattville Fire Department and Ambulance Service, the Autauga County Rural Transportation and Southern Care Hospice of Montgomery, AL. Words cannot express the "extras" provided by these kind and caring professionals who all went that "extra mile."

CHARLOTTE ELIZABETH SCHEEN
Graveside services for Miss Charlotte Elizabeth Scheen, 86, of Monroe, will be 3:00 PM, Saturday, October 28, 2000, in St. Matthew's Catholic cemetery, Monroe, with Father Sabastian Kallarackal officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Miss Scheen was born in Saline, LA and moved to Monroe in the 1930's. She had a long legal secretarial career and retired about 9 years ago.
Survivors include one niece, Mary Claire Griffenberg of Houston, TX and 4 great nieces.
Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

GWENDOLYN MAY GREER
COLUMBIA, LA - Services for Gwendolyn May Greer, age 88, of Columbia will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, October 28, 2000 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Julius Russell officiating. Interment will follow in the Columbia Hill cemetery in Columbia, LA.
Mrs. Greer was born on May 23, 1912 to the union of Sydney and Mrytle Wade Snook and died Thursday, October 26, 2000 at the Mississippi Care Center in Greenville, MS.
She was a retired sales clerk with Adams 5 & 10 Store in Columbia for several years and a homemaker. She had lived in Greenville, MS for the last five years. She was preceded in death by her husband: Masel Greer.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law: Terry and Grace Greer of Houston, TX, Dennis and Ann Greer of Houston, TX and Richard and Carol Greer of Greenville, MS and her grandchildren: Christopher Greer, Megan Greer, Shawn Greer, Michael Greer, Kevin Greer and Kathleen Greer.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Greer, Gaylon Head, Garland Grant, Steve May, Terry Head and Clint May.
Visitation will be Friday from 5 PM until 8 PM and Saturday from 8 AM until time of services at Riser Funeral Home.

JAMES T. LANGSTON
HEFLIN, LA - Services for James T. Langston, age 65, of Heflin, LA will be 2:00 PM Thursday, October 26, 2000 at Calhoun Church of Christ in Calhoun, LA with Keith Roberts officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn cemetery in Calhoun under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Mr. Langston died Tuesday, October 24, 2000 at his residence after a brief illness.
He was a member of Calhoun Church of Christ and a retired farmer at the Calhoun Research Station.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years: Carolyn Langston of Heflin; son: Steve Langston and wife Melody of West Monroe; two daughters: Tsianenia Hudleston and husband Scott of Calhoun and Juanita Taylor and husband Tony of Edmond, OK; ten grandchildren: Kristie Tully, Stacie Newton, Amanda Hudleston, Wesley Langston, Natalie Langston, Daniel Hudleston, Caleb Taylor, James Hudleston, Kimberly Hudleston and Alyssa Taylor; two great grandchildren: Christopher Tully and Ethan Newton; six brothers: Dillon Langston, Edward Robertson, Robert Robertson, Charlie Robertson, Charles Fletcher and W. J. Mims; three sisters: Barbara Fassett, Juanita Fulgham and Mary Eiland.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until service time Wednesday and Thursday, October 25 and 26, 2000 at the Calhoun Church of Christ.

JOHN RAMSEY REECE
John Ramsey Reece, age 21, was born April 14, 1979 in West Monroe, LA and died October 25, 2000 in Delhi, LA.
Survivors include his father: Marti Reece of Delhi, LA; mother: Dorothy Reece of Delhi, LA; brother: Derek Reece of Delhi, LA; maternal grandfather: Benny Seymour of Delhi, LA; maternal grandmother: Ann Seymour of Delhi, LA; paternal grandfather: Joe Hutchinson of Delhi, LA; paternal grandmother: Barbara Hutchinson of Delhi, LA; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be John David Seymour, Joshua Seymour, Jarrod Grandon, Jake Grandon, Christopher Pate and Chase Winstead.
Ramsey was a graduate of West Jones High School in Laurel, MS and had attended the University of Louisiana at Monroe. He was presently attending Hinds Community College and was a Pharmacy Tech with the Delhi Hospital. Ramsey was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Delhi. Any planned memorials may be made to the "Teer Chapel" of the Richland Parish Hospital - Delhi.
Visitation will be from 9 AM until 1 PM Friday at Cox Funeral Home - Delhi.
Funeral services will be at the Delhi Civic Center in Delhi, LA at 2:00 PM Friday, October 27, 2000 with Father Thomas Flynn officiating. Interment will be in Faith Memorial cemetery in Delhi, LA.
