JAMES H. SANDERS
Services for James H. Sanders, age 57, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2 PM Thursday, April 19, 2001 at Pleasant Hill Congregational Church in West Monroe with Rev. George Jacobs officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Congregational Church cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
Mr. Sanders died April 14, 2001 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Sanders was a member of the Pleasant Hill Congregational Church. He was a member of the ARBA, and a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. Mr. Sanders is preceded in death by his son, Mathew Sanders, father, James Sanders, mother, Mary Degnan Lowdin and step-father, Chester Lowdin.
Survivors are wife: Cella B. Sanders; daughter and son-in-law: Theresa and George Karvonen; two sons and daughters-in-law: Michael and Lynn Sanders; William and Winnaferd Sanders; grandchildren: David Peters, James Peters, Amanda Sanders, Bobby Sanders, and Vonnie Sanders; sisters: Kay Kay Cockrill; and Chris Abbott.
Pallbearers will be David Peters, James Peters, Paul Burch, Tommy Chatham, Jason George, and Mike Sims.
Visitation will be from 5 PM until 8 PM Wednesday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, and from 1 PM until service time Thursday at the church.
Memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Congregational Church.

RUTH PIPPIN ALLEN
WINNSBORO, LA - Ruth Pippin Allen, 65, died of a massive heart attack, April 16, 2001. She was a member of Lone Pine Baptist Church. She devoted her life to her family. When it came to a crochet needle and skein of thread, she was an artist and the beauty of her flower garden is surpassed only by the one in Heaven. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman Allen, Sr., a granddaughter: Cheyenne Allen, her parents: Virlee and Bill Pippin, her brother: Archie Pippin, two sisters: Louise Stringer and Grace Taylor.
She leaves behind her children: Marilyn and Kim Wilson of Winnsboro; Susie and John Handy of Collinston; Sherman, Jr. and Tammy Allen of Delhi; and Ginger Smith Allen of Winnsboro; six grandchildren whom she loved dearly; Staci and Michael Wilson, Abigail and John Patrick Handy, Makayla Allen and Korey Smith; her sister: Willane Williams; her mother-in-law: Hettie Allen; her sister-in-law: Barbara Russell; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family too numerous to name and many who had the privelege of calling her their friend.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 18, 2001 at 2 PM at Lone Pine Baptist Church in the Swampers Community with Rev. Paul Perry and Rev. Sam Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Harris cemetery near Mrs. Allen's home under the direction of Riser First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Pallbearers will be her nephews: Ricky Caldwell, Gary Russell, D. C. Stringer, Jr., David Stringer, Greg Williams, Mike Williams, Mark Ingram and Kenneth Alexander.

EUNITA M. WALKER
Services for Mrs. Eunita M. Walker, 82, of West Monroe, will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 21, 2001, in Mulhearn Funeral Home Chapel, St. John Street, Monroe, with Dr. Randy McGee officiating. Burial will be in Riverview cemetery.
Mrs. Walker died Thursday, April 19, 2001. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Monroe. She retired from Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office. Her husband, Edison L. Walker, and son, Sam A. Walker, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Marjo Hebert and her husband, Harry; sister, Frances Chaney; and grandchildren, Melanie Smith and her husband, Jason, and Eddie Hebert and his wife, Connie.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, St. John Street, Monroe.

GENEVIEVE MINSKY CALDWELL
Genieve Minsky Caldwell, 84, of Tallulah died April 19, 2001 in Vicksburg, MS after a brief illness. She was a registered nurse, a graduate of Touro Nursing School in New Orleans. She began her nursing career as public health nurse in Columbia, LA, where she married J. D. Caldwell of Columbia. They moved to Tallulah in 1949, and she ended her career as school nurse for the Madison Parish School Board for over 30 years.
There will be an Appreciation Ceremony celebrating her life and her accomplishments at the Tallulah Elementary Auditorium, Saturday, April 21, 2001 at 10 AM, hosted by her family, friends, and fellow school employees to share memories of her public and private service to her community and profession. All are welcome. The family requests any memorials to be made to your favorite church, synagogue, charity, or to Temple Anshe Chesed, 2414 Grove St., Vicksburg, MS 39183, where she was a lifelong member.
Genevieve was born July 11, 1916, in South Bend, IA, went to high school in Lake Village, AR, and graduated from Tallulah High School. She was the youngest of six children and affectionately called "Baby".
Of her marriage to J. D. Caldwell, an opera singer by profession, inter alia, seven children were born. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Caldwell Evans. She is survived by her daughter Dr. Sandra Caldwell Jolson, Orlando, FL, and her husband Dr. Alfred Jolson; Lizbeth Caldwell Abramson of San Diego, CA; James "Buddy" Caldwell of Tallulah, LA; Irene Caldwell Gosey and husband Dr. James Gosey of Slidell, LA; Sara Bess Caldwell Czuelegar and husband Dr. Peter Czuelegar of Laguna Beach, CA; Louis Matthew Caldwell and his wife Cheryl of West Monroe, LA.
She is survived by nineteen grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, loved ones too numerous to name, but all of whom share in the loss of this very special lady. May her courage and professional qualities serve as a reminder and legacy for all those who had the privilege to know her.

WILLIAM A. "BILL" MINOR
Graveside services for Mr. William A. "Bill" Minor, 87, of Monroe, will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 21, 2001, in Mulhearn Memorial Park cemetery, with Rev. William Smith officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Mr. Minor passed away Thursday morning, April 19, 2001, at North Monroe Hospital. He was born February 14, 1914, in Monroe.
Most of his life, he was self-employed in various endeavors including Oliver Boat Dock on Black Bayou and Cajun Seafood Restaurant and Lounge. He was an active member of the Monroe Moose Lodge. His wife, Izora Davenport Minor, and grandson, Stacy Richie, preceded him in death.
He is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Sue Pettit and her husband, Jim Pettit, of Crossett, AR, and Gay Richie Bishop and her husband, Kenneth Bishop of Shreveport; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Friday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your favorite charity.

LENDA GAY JOHNSON
OUACHITA CITY, LA - Services for Lenda Gay Johnson, 59, of Ouachita City, LA will be at 2 PM, Sunday, April 22, 2001 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel, Farmerville, LA with Rev. Donald Reeves officiating. Burial will be in Ouachita City cemetery, Ouachita City, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Farmerville.
She died Thursday, April 19, 2001 in Monroe, LA following a lengthy illness.
She was one of God's special angels. She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy H. Johnson and Molenda Adielene Fowler Johnson (Pete).
She is survived by three brothers, Roy Lee Johnson and wife Pat of Sterlington, LA; Danny Wayne Johnson and wife, Deborah of West Monroe, LA; Billy Joe Johnson and wife Otilia of Simsboro, LA; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Roy Johnson, Jr., Steve Johnson, David Wayne Johnson, Spence Johnson, Joey Johnson, and Mark Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Doug Vining and Aaron Lewis.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 21, 2001 from 5 PM until 9 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel.

MRS. BOBBIE SUE JOHNSON
Services for Mrs. Bobbie Sue Johnson, 71, of West Monroe, LA will be 2 PM Saturday, April 21, 2001 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA with Rev. Michi Head officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn cemetery in Calhoun, LA. Mrs. Johnson died April 19, 2001 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of the McGuire United Methodist Church in West Monroe, LA. She was retired from Ruth's Early Ages.
Survivors are husband: Mr. Billy E. Johnson of West Monroe, LA; daughters: Mrs. Pat J. Porter and her husband, Ken of Natchez, MS; and Mrs. Sue J. Womack of West Monroe, LA; granddaughter: Corre Allen Criswell and her husband, Richard of Monroe, LA; sister: Mrs. Bennie Deere and her husband, Hubert of West Monroe, LA; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Evelyn and Benny Johnson of West Monroe, LA; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Pallbearers will be Don Adams, Joey Adams, Jon Adams, Jason Adams, Neil Johnson, and Victor Albritton.
Visitation will be from noon until service time at Mulhearn's.
Memorials may be made to the McGuire United Methodist Church Building Fund or your favorite charity.

SEAMAN RECRUIT JASON WILLIAMSON
Services for Seaman Recruit Jason Williamson, 21, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 3 PM Sunday, April 22, 2001 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel, West Monroe, LA with a U. S. Military Chaplain officiating. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday, April 24, 2001 at Roselawn cemetery, Calhoun, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Seaman Recruit Jason Williamson died Monday, April 16, 2001 at Great Lakes, IL.
Seaman Recruit Jason Williamson was in the U. S. Navy. He was a 1998 graduate of West Monroe High School, where he was a member of the R. O. T. C. for four years. Jason had also worked for Johnny's Pizza.
Survivors are his parents: Harold and Sharon Williamson of West Monroe, LA; sister: Krissi Brakefield and husband, Troy of Garland, TX; brother: Travis Williamson of West Monroe, LA; grandparents: Archie and Martha Clark of Granbury, TX; niece: Kiera Brakefield of Garland, TX; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Best friends and honorary pallbearers are Kristen Lowe, Mark Mitchell, and Paul Borden.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society and Go Care.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1 PM until 3 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.

BRO. SETH WARD HAMILTON
Memorial services for Bro. Seth Ward Hamilton, age 94, of West Monroe, LA will be 10:00 AM Monday, April 23, 2001 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel West Monroe, LA with Rev. C.T. Smith and Rev. Milton Pray officiating. Interment will be in Hasley cemetery - West Monroe under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
Bro. Hamilton went to be with his Lord on Saturday, April 21, 2001 at his residence following a lengthy illness.
Bro. Hamilton was a retired Minister having served in this capacity for over 50 years. Bro. Hamilton had a servant's heart for the smaller churches and helped them with their building programs as well as growing their congregations. He was preceded in death by his four sons: Kenneth Ward Hamilton, Richard Hamilton, Charles L. Hamilton, and Seth Ward Hamilton, Jr.
Survivors include his wife: Sallie Worthey Hamilton of West Monroe; daughter: Gloria Hamilton Fife and husband Bob of Houston, TX; daughter-in-law: Louise Hamilton of Webster, TX; grandchildren: Melody Hamilton Kent, Jennifer Fife Marshall and Kenneth B. Fife; four great grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 22, 2001 from 4 until 9 PM at Kilpatrick's in West Monroe.

PAUL BERNARD STEPHENSON
Memorial services for Dr. Paul Bernard Stephenson, 63, of Ruston will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, April 23, 2001, at Burkhalter Chapel, Trinity United Methodist Church. Dr. Stephenson died Thursday, April 19, 2001, following a lengthy illness.
Dr. Stephenson was a retired physics professor at Louisiana Tech University. Born in Jena, Louisiana, on December 16, 1937, he received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Louisiana Tech University and his Ph.D. from Duke University.
He was preceded in death by his one sister, Eileen Stephenson Lassiter, and his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Mary Jane Adams Stephenson of Ruston; by one son, Lt. Col. Paul Richard Stephenson and wife, Linda, of Elmendorf, Alaska; by two daughters, Ellen Stephenson McPherson and husband, Rodney, of Farmerville, and Susan Stephenson Toscano and husband, James of Ashaway, Rhode Island; by two brothers, Ralph W. Stephenson and wife, June, of Baton Rouge, and Kenneth Stephenson of Jena; by one brother-in-law, E. J. Lassiter and wife, Nell, of Jena.
Grandchildren are Jonathan Stephenson and Robert Stephenson of Alaska and Kristin McPherson of Farmerville.
Other relatives are nieces Nan Stephenson Kuzenski, Lynn Stephenson Lovell, Camille Stephenson Grabski, and Leah Stephenson Green; and nephews Danny Lassiter, Clint Lassiter, and David Lassiter.
The family will greet guests immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Trinity United Methodist Church, the Methodist Children's Home, the Lincoln Parish Library, or the charity of your choice.
