FARMERVILLE, LA - Services for Shirley Dozier, 92, of Farmerville, LA will be at 2 PM, Tuesday, May 8, 2001 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel, Farmerville, LA with Rev. Johnny Hankins and Rev. David Martin officiating. Burial will be in Farmerville City cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Farmerville, LA.
Mrs. Dozier died Sunday, May 6, 2001 at Union General Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Abe Dozier, and her son, Billy Joe Dozier.
Survivors include her daughter: Mary Hill of Farmerville; grandchildren: Jimmy Hill of Baton Rouge; Lora Hicks of Warren, AR; Kerry Hill of Farmerville; Abby Nelson of Denton, TX; Mary Anne Earle; and Scott Hill, both of Farmerville; Steve Dozier of Puerto Rico; Richard Dozier of Houston, TX; sixteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Ben Nelson, Brent Hill, Ryan Hicks, Andrew Hicks, Robby Earle, Matt Johnston, Al Johnston, A. D. Whitehead, and Christopher Dozier.

EDWARD RAYMOND "BUD" RICHMOND
MOULTRIE, GA - Services for Edward Raymond "Bud" Richmond, age 62, of Moultrie, GA, will be 2 PM Saturday, May 12, 2001 at Mulhearn Chapel, St. John St., Monroe and Rev. Keith McVay officiating. Burial will be in the Epps cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, St. John St. Monroe.
Mr. Richmond died May 8, 2001 in Moultrie, GA.
A native of West Carroll Parish, he was the son of the late Thomas Jefferson and Dora Blanche Bass Richmond.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Blanche Eloise Richmond McVay Stephens Mercer, Mary Louise Richmond Brewer and Viva Dell Richmond Prine.
Survivors include his brother: Billy Richmond of Bernice, LA; five sisters: Addie Cleo Richmond Pierce of West Monroe, Evelyn Marie Richmond Chapman of Carriere, MS, Aletha Jane Richmond Reid of Biloxi, MS, Jean Snelling Richmond McPherson of Moultrie, GA and Glenda Rose Richmond Watkins of Indianapolis, IN.
Pallbearers will be Mike Jolly, Chris Jolly, Gordon McCoy, John McCandlish, Tom McCandlish, Jeff Prine and Gary Watkins.
Visitation will be 5 - 9 PM Friday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, St. John St., Monroe.

MORRIS CLAYTON (M. C.) BAKER
RUSTON, LA - Services for Morris Clayton (M. C.) Baker, age 88, of Ruston, LA will be 2:00 PM Friday, May 11, 2001 at Alabama Presbyterian Church in Sibley with Dr. Marshall Boyd and Rev. Tom Foley officiating. Interment in Sibley cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston.
Mr. Baker died Wednesday, May 9, 2001 in Ruston following a brief illness.
Mr. Baker was a long time member of Alabama Presbyterian Church where he served as a deacon for many years. He was a retired bus driver and farmer.
Survivors include his loving wife: Emma Lee Baker of Choudant, LA; son: Ronald M. (Ronny) Baker and wife Dawn of Choudrant, LA; daughter: Johnette Upchurch and husband John E. of Dubach, LA; six grandchildren: Randy Upchurch of Sterlington, LA, Susie Jiles of Ruston, LA, Tracy Renfrow of Denver, CO, Clay Baker of Choudrant, LA, Justin Baker of Choudrant, LA and Emily Wingfield of Sterlington, LA; four surviving sisters: Billie Hassion of Alexandria, LA, Opal Simmons of Calhoun, LA, Otta Gilbert of West Monroe, LA and Audie Martindale of West Monroe, LA; ten great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Mitchell Dugdale, Joey Smith, Mark Chandler, Dan O'Neal, III, Jimmy Barnes and Terry Williams.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday, May 10, 2001 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.

MRS. DONDI KAY WALKER COPELAND
Services for Mrs. Dondi Kay Walker Copeland, age 29, of West Monroe, LA will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 15, 2001 at The Pentecostals of the Twin Cities on Montgomery St. West Monroe with Rev. Mark Foster officiating. Interment will be in Wilhite cemetery in Point, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
Dondi was born on October 2, 1971 in West Monroe, LA and went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 11, 2001 in Caldwell Parish.
Dondi was a Realtor for John Rea Realty, and was former manager of the Celebrations Book Store. She was a member of the Pentecostals of the Twin Cities where she was active as a Sunday School teacher and member of the choir. Dondi was a graduate of NLU and was a member of Kappa Delta. Dondi was a very special person and touched the hearts of everyone she met.
Survivors include her husband: Chris Copeland; father: Tommy Walker; mother and step father: Judy and Scott Howell; five brothers: Jamie Howell, Scooter Howell, Timothy Howell, all of West Monroe, LA, Michael Walker of Fayettville, AR and Joshua Walker of West Monroe, LA; five sisters: Sunni Howell, Ginny Howell, Tiffany Howell, Tori Howell and Lindsey Walker, all of West Monroe, LA; grandmothers: Alice Collins of West Monroe, LA, Louise Walker of Quitman, LA and Lolita Howell of Monroe, LA; and several special aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be from 5 PM until 9 PM Monday in the Kilpatick Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.

MRS. DOROTHY SMITH WILSON
ral services for Mrs. Dorothy Smith Wilson, age 81, of West Monroe, LA will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 15, 2001 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Rocky Branch, LA with Rev. Paul Carter officiating. Interment will be in Rocky Branch cemetery Rocky Branch, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Mrs. Wilson was born on March 1, 1920 in Union Parish, LA and died Saturday, May 12, 2001 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe.
Mrs. Wilson was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents Leonard Ezra and Eva Burford Smith and a brother Jack Smith.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years: Joe W. Wilson of West Monroe, LA; daughter and son-in-law: Jan and Ray Holley of Rocky Branch, LA; son and daughter-in-law: David and Dana Wilson of Monroe, LA; four grandchildren: Bryan Holley of Austin, TX, Rev. John Holley of Charleston, SC, Adam Wilson of Baton Rouge, LA and Amanda Wilson of Monroe, LA; four great grandchildren: Evan Holley and Erica Holley of Austin, TX, Aaron Holley and Caleb Holley of Charleston, SC; two brothers: James Gray Smith of Gray Court, SC and Lamar Smith of Haughton, LA.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Holley, Lonnie Smith, Webb Crecink, J. C. Honeycutt, Henry Taylor, and Bob Dupree.
Visitation will be from 5 PM until 8 PM Monday, May 14, 2001 at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Rocky Branch, LA.

JOHN P. REEVES
FARMERVILLE, LA - Services for John P. Reeves, age 83, of Farmerville, LA, will be 10:00 AM Monday, May 14, 2001 at Farmerville United Methodist Church in Farmerville, LA with Rev. Johnny Hankins and Rev. Karl Klaus officiating. Burial will be in Farmerville City cemetery - Farmerville, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville.
Mr. Reeves died Friday, May 11, 2001 in Monroe, LA following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Reeves was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Also a member of Union Fraternal Masonic Lodge #53, Farmerville Eastern Star Chapter #207, Union Parish Shrine Club and Barak Shrine Temple. He was preceded in death by his parents Sam L. and Sadie Reeves, by brother Bryan Reeves, and by sister Claire R. Hudson.
Survivors include his wife: Stella Reeves of Farmerville, LA; son: David L. Reeves and wife Kathi A. of West Monroe; brother: Lamar Reeves of Slidell, LA; two sisters: Doris Reeves of Olive Branch, MS and Flora Nell Bordner of East Peoria, IL; two grandsons: David M. Reeves and Mark A. Reeves, both of West Monroe.
Pallbearers will be Don Antley, Gary Compton, Kenny Compton, Robby Compton, Joe O. Harper, Jr. and John Price.
Honorary pallbearer will be Art Cleveland.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, May 13, 2001 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 3100 Samford Avenue, Shreveport, LA 71103.

LLOYD WILSON RICHARDS, SR.
Lloyd Wilson Richards, Sr., age 85, passed away at home on Friday, May 11, 2001 following a lengthy illness.
This letter was found among his papers. We are not sure of the date when it was written.
Born April 26, 1916 in Ocean Springs, MS to Methodists parents, Mary Aslean and Ruben Lewis Richards, grew up and attended the only Methodist Church in Ocean Springs at that time. Attended private school until moving to Louisiana, then attended Destrehan High school, Destrehen, LA. After finishing school, worked construction. While on a job in Bastrop, met and married my wife of 54 years (now almost 63 years) the former Maybelle Reynolds. We have two daughters, Marjorie Hinkie and Gwen Dickson. One son Lloyd W. Jr., nine grandchildren and seven great grands. (There are now 13 gg's)
Served in the Navy during WW2, attended Navy training school of basic engineers. Upon finishing was sent to Pearl Harbor and assigned to the battleship New Jersey, the most decorated ship in the U. S. Navy, we were on our way to Tokyo Bay. Months ran into years but we finally made it. Left Tokyo Bay and was discharged November 29, 1945, with a Petty Officer rate of Boilerman.
After coming home and working for IPCO, Bagpak Div. in Bastrop and Litchfield, IL, we came back home.
My wife being a Baptist, she felt like I should be also. When Faith Baptist Church was organized, we started attending. We walked the aisle together, she rededicated her life and I gave my life to the Lord. We were both baptized together.
Mr. Richard was a deacon of Faith Baptist Church, Past Master of Mt. Gerizim Lodge #54, PHP Livingstone Chapter #16, Past Deputy Grand High Priest Dist. 7, PLM Morehouse Council #50, Monroe Commandry #7, Scottish Rite, York Rite and Barak Shrine Temple.
Preceding Mr. Richards in death are his parents and one grandson, Jeffrey Lane Simmons.
Surviving is his wife Maybelle, two daughters, Marjorie Hinkie and husband Joe of Webster, MA, Gwen Dickson of Metarie, LA and one son Lloyd W. Jr. (Buddy) and wife Shirley. Also surviving is a brother, Ruben C. Dickerson and wife Ruth of DeRidder, LA and a sister Annie Lou White and husband Ralph of Humble, TX.
An Honorary Service will be held at Faith Baptist Church, Airport Road, Bastrop, LA from 5 until 9 PM Sunday, May 13. The body will lie in state at the church with services being held on Monday, May 14, at 10:00 A.M. Rev. Paul Carter and Rev. Vic Carter will be officiating.
Pallbearers will be Deacons of First Baptist Church and Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Robert Lyon, Butch Ellard and Adult Men's Sunday School Class.
Burial will be at Carter cemetery on Collinston Road, Bastrop, LA.

MR. BARRY WILLIAMS
Graveside services for Mr. Barry Williams, age 60, of West Monroe, LA will be 2:00 PM Monday, May 14, 2001 with Rev. Jeff Luellen officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn cemetery in Calhoun, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
Mr. Williams was born on November 15, 1940 in Newark, New Jersey and died Friday, May 11, 2001 at his residence in West Monroe following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Williams was a field engineer for NCR for over 35 years.
Survivors include his wife: Ruth Williams of West Monroe, LA; son: Andy Randolph and wife Cindy of West Monroe, LA; three brothers: Ron Williams and wife Sherry of Olive Branch, MS, Bob Williams and wife Vicki of Horn Lake, MS and Richard Williams of Memphis, TN; two step grandsons; two nieces; one nephew; and three great nephews.
Visitation will be from 5 PM until 7 PM Sunday, May 13, 2001 at the Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
