EUNICE - Funeral services for Mrs. Verna Lahaye Dossmann, 72, were held at 2 p.m. today in St. Anthony Catholic Church here with burial in Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas. Mrs. Dossmann, a resident of Eunice, died at 6 a.m. on Sunday, March 5, 2000, in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette. She was a homemaker. Survivors include: her husband, Andrew Dossmann of Eunice; her mother, Elda Lahaye of Port Barre; four daughters, Celeste Gomez of Eunice, Michelle Lawrence of Shreveport, Debbie Gooch and Paula Dossmann, both of Lafayette; her brother C.V. "Sonny" Lahaye Jr. of Lafayette; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Donations may be made to Hospice of Acadiana. Ardoin's Funeral Home of Eunice was in charge of arrangements.

Edith Granger
Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Granger, 76, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Opelousas with burial in Mt. Calvary cemetery in Eunice. The Rev. Jeff DeBlanc will conduct the services. Mrs. Granger, a resident of Eunice, died at 3 a.m. Monday, March 6, 2000, in Opelousas General Hospital. She was a housewife.
Survivors include: her daughter, Wanda Olivier of Opelousas; her sister, Marie Lacy of Reeves; five grandchildren, Angie Olivier Picou of Carencro, Mitchell Olivier of Opelousas, Nicole Collins of Opelousas, Jenny Thibodaux and Shane Fuselier, both of Covington; and 13 great granchildren. Mrs. Granger was preceded in death by a daughter, Deanna Manuel Fuselier; and her parents Dorestan and Odelia Aucoin Granger. Visiting hours will be until 10 p.m. tonight and from 7 a.m. Tuesday until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. tonight. Funeral services for Mrs. Rose Circello DeGlando, 84, were held at 3 p.m. today in St. John Catholic Church in Melville with burial in St. John cemetery. The Fr. Jose Padinjarepeedika conducted the services. Mrs. DeGlando died at 11:44 p.m. Saturday, March 4, 2000, in Baton Rouge General Hospital. She was a house wife. Survivors include two sons, Tillman DeGlando of Clinton and Derrel DeGlando of Sunset; her daughter, Lucille Firmin of Baton Rouge, and her sister, Frances Brown of Miami, Fla. Mrs. DeGlando was preceded in death by her husband T.D. DeGlando and her parents. Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas was in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Miller, a native of Sunset, died at 4:50 a.m. on Monday, March 6, 2000, in the Evangeline Oaks Nursing Home of Carencro. Survivors include two sisters, Beverly Spence and Marie Mills, both of Sunset; and several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours are until 9 p.m. tonight and from 8 a.m. Tuesday until time of services. RHODA ANN SMITH ANDERSON
SAN ANTONIO - Rhoda Ann Smith Anderson, 47, died May 10, 2000, at her home.
She was a native of Amite, a graduate of Amite High School and Jackson State University and a member of Little Bethel Baptist Church, Amite.
Survivors include her husband, Otis Anderson; children, Brandon and Tiffany; mother, Ruby Smith, Amite; sister, Laura Morgan, New Orleans; and brother, Clyde R. Smith Jr., Suitland, Md.
Her father, Clyde R. Smith Sr.; and brother, Richard Fisher, preceded her in death.
The funeral was this morning at Grace First Baptist Church, San Antonio.
Lewis Funeral Home, San Antonio, was in charge.
DAVID WILLIAM GUNNELL
David William Gunnell, 80, died Monday, May 15, 2000, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital, Covington.
He was a native of Lincoln County, Miss., a graduate of Mississippi State College, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, U.S. Army T/3 112th Signal Radio Intelligence Co., Pacific Theater; a retired educator with 26 years of service, having taught science at Doyle High School and was a charter member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Hammond.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Cleo Gunnell, Hammond; son, Michael David Gunnell, Silver Creek, Miss.; daughter, Rebecca Anne Edwards, Hammond; two grandchildren and two step-grandchildren; sister, Annie Magee, Shreveport; and brother, Carroll Gunnell, Brookhaven, Miss.
Two brothers, Estus and Shelton Gunnell, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, Wednesday from 9 until 11:45 a.m. and at Immanuel Baptist Church from noon until the funeral at 1 p.m. The Rev. Lonnie Wascom will conduct the service, and burial will be in Rose Memorial cemetery.
LILLIE MAE OSTEEN KLIESCH
KENTWOOD - Lillie Mae Osteen Kliesch, 90, died Sunday, May 14, 2000, at North Oaks Medical Center.
She was a native of Wesson, Miss.
Survivors include a daughter, Ayleene K. King, Franklinton; son, Clyde Kliesch, Kentwood; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sister, Vivian O. Umberger, Kentwood.
Her husband, George V. Kliesch; sister, Dell O. Tucker; and three brothers, Melton, Arthur and Sam Osteen, preceded her in death.
The Rev. Dennis Mitchell conducted the funeral this afternoon at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, and burial was in Woodland cemetery.
WANDA MORSE McALLISTER
PONCHATOULA - Wanda Morse McAllister, 58, died Saturday, May 13, 2000, at North Oaks Medical Center.
She was a native of Ponchatoula and an employee of Elmer Candy Co. for 21 1/2 years.
Survivors include her husband, Ben McAllister; three daughters, Cindy Colkmire, Ponchatoula, Wendy Muscarello, Bay Town, Texas, Tammy Ainsworth, Tickfaw; son, Ricky Achord, Ponchatoula; three stepsons, Todd McAllister, Gonzales, Ben McAllister Sr., Berwick, Maine, David McAllister, Lutcher; step-daughter, Leslie Daigle, Gonzales; and 21 grandchildren.
Her parents, H.E. "Dooley" and Glirma Landry Morse; and three sisters, Ouida Shockley, Verdell Wolfe and Elaine Hardin, preceded her in death.
The Rev. Glynn Fendlason and the Rev. Jimmy Wall conducted the funeral this morning at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, and burial was in Ponchatoula cemetery.
MAXINE MORRISON
ALBANY - Maxine Morrison, retired postmaster in Albany, died Friday, May 12, 2000, at North Oaks Medical Center.
She was a native of Albany, matron of the Fern Leaf Chapter No. 24, Order of the Easter Star, member of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 258, New Beulah Baptist Church, past member of Blood River Baptist Church and a founding member of Albany First Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Edward E. and Rodney W. Johnson and Jeffrey G. Morrison; four sisters, Grace Bonvillain, Hazel Sanders, Audrey Brady, Ruy Purvis; three brothers, Newton, Herbert and Marvin "Eddie" Hill; and five grandchildren.
Her first husband, Oswald D. "Dub" Johnson; second husband, Edison "Boog" Morrison; four brothers, Wilton, J.W., Ervin and Raymond Hill; and one granddaughter, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be at Geisler Funeral Home, Albany, Wednesday, from 6 to 10 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. until the funeral at 11:30. Burial will be in Bethlehem Church cemetery, Albany.
DORIS ADAMS NICKENS
PUMPKIN CENTER - Doris Adams Nickens, 71, died Monday, May 15, 2000, at her home.
She was a native of Wadesboro.
Survivors include her husband, Carter Nickens, Pumpkin Center; four daughters, Rhonda Lobell, Hammond, Melanie King and Gorgi-Anna Wainwright, Pumpkin Center, Carlene Michel, Carencro; son, Brandon Nickens, Ponchatoula; sister, Sue Haltom, Pumpkin Center; five brothers, Ray, Melvin, Bobby, Jerry and Kenny Adams, Pumpkin Center; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Her son, Donald Larry Nickens; and sister, Thelma Eugenia Adams, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, tonight from 6 to 10 and Wednesday from 8 a.m. until the funeral at 10. The Rev. Jimmy Wall and the Rev. Clifton Nickens will conduct the service, and burial will be in Macedonia Baptist Church cemetery.
