Breaux
Jason Louis Breaux died May 10, 2005 of a heart attack at Jefferson Healthcare Center. He was 32.

Mr. Breaux was born in New Orleans and lived in Jefferson for most of his life.

Survivors include a son, Jason Louis Breaux Jr. of Springhill, Fla.; a daughter, Kierstyn Bethany Breaux of Springhill; his father, Thaddeus Breaux Jr.; his mother, Susan Breaux; a brother, Thaddeus Breaux III of Destrehan; a sister, Kimala Desena of Nevada City, Calif.; and his grandfather, Louis A. Keller.

A memorial service will be held June 11 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Kenner, 1400 Williams Blvd., Kenner. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be private. Professional Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Burks
Willie "Wild Willie-Manny" Burks Jr., died May 27, 2005 of an aneurysm at Ochsner Foundation Hospital. He was 65.

Mr. Burks was born in New Orleans and lived in New Sarpy.

Survivors include his wife, Pamala Givens Burks; three sons, Lucky Terrell Givens, Calvin Berry and Leo Jackson ; three daughters, Rosalind Brooks, Hope Mero and Latasha Givens; five brothers, Edward, Roger, Barry, Shandrof and Barney Burks; four sisters, Laura Thomas, Katie Fisher, Betty Burks and Gertrude Thompson; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

A funeral was held on Saturday. Burial in New Sarpy Cemetery.

Bynym
Hollis “Jigger” Bynum Jr. died on May 23, 2005. He was 57.

He was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Bayou Gauche.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Blades Bynum; son, Duston J. Bynum; 3 daughters, Elizabeth Benson, Holly Kirk, and Maggie Bynum; and 4 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Hollis Bynum Sr. and Verda Lee Byrd Bynum Raines and his step father, C.M. Raines.

He was the past President of the Live Oak Fire Department, and a member of theBayou Gauche Fire Department.

Visitation took place at 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland. A religious service followed at Falgout Funeral Home at 1 p.m.

Arrangements were under the direction of Falgout Funeral Homes of Raceland.

Crow
Lacy Crow Jr., a roofer, died May 11, 2005 of complications from diabetes at St. Charles General Hospital. He was 44.

Mr. Crow was born in Metairie and lived in Norco for the past 25 years. Survivors include his father, Lacy Crow Sr.; his mother, Barbara Morales Crow; and two sisters, Lisa Louque and Melissa Feitas. A Mass was said on May 20 at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 401 Spruce St., Norco. Burial was private. Alexander Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Ernst
Orion “O” Ernst died May 27, 2005. He was 42 years old.

He was the beloved son of Frank and Dorothy Wedemeier Ernst, Jr. He was the husband of Lila T. Ernst and the step-father of Monica Williams. Mr. Ernst is also survived by five grandchildren; brother, Kevin Ernst; two sisters, Darla E. McBroom and Dana E. Hull of Thibodeaux; two brother-in-laws, Randy McBroom and George Hull; sister-in-law, Missy Ernst; six nieces and nephews, Meghan McBroom, Steven Ernst, Dr. Shelley Haydel, Susan Haydel, Julianne Courtney, and Hayden Hull. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

He was a native and resident of Luling. He was a Health Physics Tech II employed by Entergy/Waterford 3 for 16 years.

Services were held on Thursday. Flowers may be sent, but in lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Victory Junction Gang Camp, a medical camp for children and their families living with chronic and life-threatening illness. The address is 4500 Adams Way, Randleman, N.C. 27317, (336) 498-9055.

Folse
Lillian Hebert Folse died May 22, 2005. She was 74 years old. She was a native of Raceland and a resident of Des Allemands. She was a parishioner of St. Gertrude Church in Des Allemands.

She is survived by her sister, Rita Autin, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Joseph Folse; her parents, Justilien and Beulah Toups Hebert; 3 brothers, Albert, Clifton, and Nolan Hebert.

Visitation was on May 24 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Des Allemands. Mass of Christian Burial was on May 24 at 11 a.m. at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Des Allemands. interment in St. Gertrude’s Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, masses preferred. Falgout Funeral Homes Inc., of Raceland took care of arrangements.

Ford
James “Jimmy” Ford, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Raceland, died on May 9, 2005. He was 80 years old.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Audrey Gautreaux Ford; two sons Richard A. Ford and Thomas J. Ford and his wife Pearly all of Baton Rouge; grandson Christopher Ford and wife Becky; three granddaughters, Amanda Ellis and husband John, Mindy Ford and Madeline Ford; great grandchildren Christopher, Jr. and Holly Ford; Cole, Connor and Carson Ellis; five sisters, Myrtle Tastet, Ada Colonge, Mary Ann Vanacor, all of Des Allemands, Marion Blanchard of Bridge City, and Catherine Barrios of Raceland, La; two brothers, Bill Ford of Houma, and Richard Ford of Bridge City. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Lydia Bergeron Ford; one sister Shirley Ford; and five brothers William, Jr., Earl, Patrick, Paul, and Douglas Ford; two grandsons Alexander and Blake Ford.

James Ford was a Technical Sergeant in the U.S. Army in WWII. A DAV, a recipient of the Purple Heart from the Battle of the Bulge, a Bronze Leader of the Commanders' Club. Retired member of Local 198, member of the VFW, Mason 32nd Degree and a Shriner. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, avid LSU fan, animal lover and friend who will be deeply missed by all. All veterans are invited to military service.

Funeral services were held on May 13 at Baker Funeral Home in Baker.

Gaubert
Vivian Edith Gaubert, a native and resident of Luling, died on May 14, 2005. She was 87 years old.

She is survived by her brothers, Carroll Gaubert and wife Lillie and Richard Gaubert and wife Dianne, sisters Mabel Gaubert, Alma Gaubert and Enid Gaubert Holibaugh, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Veronica Naquin Gaubert, brothers Edward, Wallace, Sylvester “S.J.”, Ernest “Sonny” and Raymond Gaubert and sisters Elise Gaubert Falgout, Earline Gaubert and Mildred Gaubert.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on May 17 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Luling.

Heard
Adair Lawton Heard died May 29, 2005 at her home. She was 88.

Mrs. Heard was born in New Orleans and lived in Destrehan.

Survivors include a son, Zachary T. Heard III of Mandeville; three daughters, Denise H. Stine of Pensacola, Barbara Wright and Adair H. Musacchia; two brothers, Raymond and William Lawton; two sisters, Eunice Walsdorf and Yvone Melancon; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A Mass was said Thursday.

Johnson
Charlie T. Johnson Sr., died May 24, 2005 at Kenner Regional Medical Center. He was 92.

Mr. Johnson was born in Luling and lived in River Ridge for the past 50 years. He was an Army staff sergeant with Company L 365th Infantry during World War II and was awarded the Victory Medal, the ATO Medal and the EAMETO Medal. He was a member of Oakland Baptist Church, Nehemiah Masonic Lodge No. 72 and American Legion Post No. 598. He had been a driver for the Jefferson Council on Aging for 13 years.

Survivors include his wife, John A. Johnson ; two sons, Charlie T. Johnson Jr. and Alfred Johnson Sr.; three daughters, Roslind Lattier, Charlene Carroll and Marilyn J. Johnson ; a stepson, Arthur B. Jackson Jr.; a stepdaughter, Mary S. Jackson ; three brothers, Joseph, Anthony and Claude Eugene; four daughters, Virginia Bujol, Dorothy Harris, Lorita Jenkins and Estelle Bush; 29 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

A funeral was held Friday Dismissal was Saturday. Burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Richardson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
