Klafert
Mollie Christine Klafert died May 27, 2005 of renal cancer at Memorial Medical Center. She was 70.

Mrs. Klafert was born in Stanton, Ind., and lived in New Orleans for the past 24 years.

Survivors include four sons, Hershel Ray Klafert of Heidelberg, Germany, Curtis Klafert of Norco and Ralph and Stuart Kent Klafert; three daughters, Mamy Douglas of Piperton, Tenn., Mary Klafert of Kenner and Lenore Lynn Barquero of Metairie; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Thursday.

Larousse
Earline Vicknair Larousse, a native of Edgard and resident of Norco, died on May 9, 2005 in Norco. She was 70 years old.

Wife of the late Wilton Larousse Sr., daughter of Zephyrain and Dora Inez Vicnair, mother and mother-in-law of Wilton Jr. and Ute Larousse of New Iberia, sister of Zephyrain Jr., Raoul, Wallace and Nelson Vicknair of Montz, Annabelle Gaubert of LaPlace, Doris Guillot of Destrehan, Dora Anne Newsome of LaPlace and Jeanette DeCampo of Gretna, the late Melvin Vicknair, Lillian Keating and Noel Michele and grandmother of Cassandra and Jasmin Larousse. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on May 12 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norco.

LeBouef
Lillian Poche LeBoeuf, a resident of Lutcher, died Sunday. She was 78 years old.

She is the daughter of the late Albert Poche Sr. and Emelie Battard and adopted daughter of the late Remy J. Poche and Antoinette Battard Poche. She is the beloved wife of Joseph Harry LeBoeuf of Lutcher. She is the mother and mother-in-law of Chris and Maureen LeBoeuf of Lutcher and Emelie (Tootsie) and Tom Larsen of Pontchatoula. She is the sister of Marie Louise Deslatte of Norco, and the late Albert Poche, Jr., Raymond Poche, Jules Poche, Clarence Poche, Amy P. Raffray, Julie P. Surmik, Eleanor P. Miller, and Odette P. Kilburn. She is the grandmother of Christopher LeBoeuf of Thibodeaux, Hollie Zeringue of Gramercy, Stacey Roussel of Houston, TX, and Brett Larsen of Monroe. She is the great-grandmother of Caleb Zeringue, Emelie and Jessie Clare Roussel, Phoebe and Benjamin LeBoeuf and Remy Larsen.

She was the Past Auxiliary President of the East St. James VFW Post 5852, member of the St. Ann Altar Society, and AARP, retired employee of the News Examiner.

A Funeral Mass was held at St. Joseph’s Church on May 19.

Lowry

Gladys K. Lowry, age 86, died on May 14, 2005 at 5 p.m. Beloved wife of the late Valery (Hap) Lowry, she is survived by sons Michael and wife Brenda, Thomas and wife Jackie, John and wife Susan, and Allen Lowry; grandchildren Trina, Shelly, Jason, Dustin and Vali; great-grandchildren Savanna, Jordyn, Lauren and Brock, and siblings Lucy Ayme, Delores Geier and Marian Brady. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lucille and Miller Keller, brother Ivan Keller and one granddaughter.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on May 16 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norco. In lieu of flowers, Masses are preferred.

Madere
Nell Joseph Madere, a lifelong resident of Montz, died Monday. He was 57 years old.

He is the beloved husband of Sandra Guillory Madere and the loving father of Lisa Madere Stanley and the late Kyle Stanley, Dennis and Kim Madere Dantin, Neal, Kelly Madere Richard and Erin Jessica Madere. He is the son of the late Rita and Clement Madere Jr. He is the brother of Elsie Madere, Jane Roussel, Gail Clement, and Bryan, Keith, and Michael Madere and the late Marilyn Brady. He is also survived by grandchildren Noah Stanley, Elisabeth, Madeline, Jordan and Gabriel Richard, Justin and Hannah Dantin.

He is a retired employee of Shell Motiva.

Funeral services were held at Ascension of Our Lord Church in
LaPlace on May 19.
Mire
Barbara Burguieres Mire, a native of St. Mary Parish and resident of Destrehan, died on May 11, 2005. She was 74 years old.

Wife of Edward J. Mire, daughter of the late Jules M. and Elodie Bergeron Burguieres, mother and mother-in-law of Nanette Mire Bergeron and Gary, Catherine Mire Davis and Jerry Sr., Polly Mire Pepitone and Wayne, Marcia Mire Stromeyer and Roger Sr. and Jules Edward Mire and companion Earl Barrow, Jr., beloved dogs Dino and Pedro, sister of Delores LeBlanc , Patricia Fernandez, Gail Cambre, Josie Moreau, Elodie Burguieres and the late Peggy Baudoin. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on May 14. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan.

Mizell
Wilmer Louis "Sonny Boy" Mizell died May 26, 2005 of a heart attack at his home. He was 69.

Mr. Mizell was born in New Orleans and lived in Destrehan for the past four years. He attended Franklin High School. He was a former driver for Charlie Spahr. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Rae Mizell; four sons, David Wayne Mizell, Alan Craig Mizell, Robert Sr. and Jamison "Jamie" Mizell; three daughters, Susan Patrice Mizell, Donna Marie Hale and Lisa Elaine Barry; three brothers, Wayne, Kenneth and Jimmy Mizell; two sisters, Bonnie Morris and Edna Delaughter; 17 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on Monday. Heritage Funeral Directors was in charge of arrangements.

Norris
Neotha "Mama Dota" Johnson Norris, a homemaker, died Tuesday at River Region Hospice House. She was 91.

Mrs. Norris was born in Sellers and lived in New Sarpy. She attended McDonald 35 School in New Orleans. Survivors include two daughters, Delores Price and Joyce Wilderson, both of New Sarpy; a brother, Lawrence Johnson of New Sarpy; three sisters, Hattie Parquet, Viola "Cootie" Wilson and Beatrice Cherie of New Orleans; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A funeral was held on May 21 at St. Matthew's Baptist Church in New Sarpy.

Senia
Yvonne Duffy Senia died May 26, 2005 of congestive heart failure at East Jefferson General Hospital. She was 73.

Mrs. Senia was born in Greenfield, Mo., and lived in Destrehan for the past 35 years.

Survivors include her husband, Rocco A. Senia; three sons, Steven and Danny Cox and Robin Cole; a daughter, Vickie Barthel; a stepdaughter, Rhonda Watson; a brother, Max Duffy; two sisters, Phyllis Hunt and Kay Meyers; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held May 31.

St. Amant
Dennis J. St. Amant Jr., a retired lieutenant with the St. Charles Parish sheriff’s office, died Sunday of a heart attack. He was 70.

Mr. St. Amant was a lifelong resident of Luling. He was the husband of the late Catherine Lagattuta St. Amant. Survivors include two sons, Michael A. St. Amant and Dennis J. St. Amant III; five daughters, Cathy S. Jones, Susette S. Higgins, Wendy S. Gomes, Yvette S. Israel and Sheila S. Jacobs; two sisters, Mary S. Norfleet and Margaret S. Fiegenschue; 14 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass was held on May 11 at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1 Rectory Lane in Hahnville.

Tamburello
Norman G. Tamburello died on May 26, 2005.

He is survived by wife, Helen T. Tamburello; two sons, Philip and wife Lorraine Tamburello and Michael J. Tamburello Sr.; daughter and son-in-law, Sheila T. and Mickey Cadow; brothers, Joseph and Victor Tamburello; sisters, Mary T. St. Martin, Lena T. Smagacz, and Carrie T. Bourque; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on May 28. Entombment is at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum. H.C. Alexander Funeral Home of Norco was in charge of arrangements.
