Timmy "Tim" Lapeyrouse
Timmy "Tim" Lapeyrouse, 52 years old of Ponchatoula, LA, died Wednesday, June 17, at his residence.
He was born on Monday, October 8, 1956, in New Orleans.
Surviving are brothers, Danny and Jean Lapeyrouse; nephew, Jason Lapeyrouse; his niece Jessica Lapeyrouse and her son Seth Banta.
He is preceded in death by parents, Wilson Lapeyrouse and Marilyn Cornu Lapeyrouse.
Friends will be received Monday, June 22, 2009, at the Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond from 6:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. and on Tuesday from 8:00 A.M. until services.
Services will be held in the funeral home chapel, Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at 11:00 A.M.
interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery, New Orleans, LA 70119.
John William Lay Jr.
John William Lay Jr., 55 years old of Ponchatoula, LA, died Thursday, June 18, 2009.
He was born on May 4, 1954, in New Orleans.
Surviving are wife, Elizabeth Lay; son, John W. "Jack" Lay lll; daughter, Wendy Thomas; grandson, A.J. Thomas; uncle and aunt, Avery and Barbara Lay; nephews, Bryan and Wesley Kelly.
He is preceded in death by parents, John W. Lay Sr. and Bernadine Bednarski; uncle Harold Lay.
Services will be private.
Michael "Mike" Goudeau
Michael "Mike" Goudeau, 52, Passed away June 6, 2009. He was a native of Hammand, LA and a resident of Thibodaux, LA. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2009 at 9am at Hollygardens Cemetery
in Hammond, LA.
He is survived by his father, James L. Goudeau, brothers, Allen Maurice Goudeau and John B. Goudeau, sister, Carey Goudeau and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother JohnnyLou Hinson Goudeau and brother Daniel Pierre Goudeau.
James "Daniel" Roberson
James "Daniel" Roberson was born on November 23, 1947 in Robertsdale, Alabama and Passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2009 in Albany. He was a diesel mechanic and truck driver with D-8 Trucking of Walker and Gonzales with forty years of service. Daniel was a member of St. Albert the Great Church in Hammond, Hungarian Settlement Historical Society, and Sons of the American Legion Squadron 258 Springfield. He was a 1965 graduate of Walker High School. Daniel touched many lives by his generosity and kindness and will be greatly missed by all.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Juliana Petho Roberson; father, William Thomas Roberson; mother-in-law, Franca Petho; two daughters, Pavel Danielle Wascom and Arnold Pezant, Angela Kraft and husband Michael; sons, Donald Radford Roberson and wife Hope, James David Roberson and wife Kim; grandchildren, Cody and Dustin Guitreau, Peyton Pezant, Haley Roberson, Kale Buchholtz, Hannah and Evan Kraft, Lane and Emily Roberson. His sisters, Debra Campbell, Diane Hathaway; brothers, Richard, Duncan and Dale Roberson; sister-in-law, Laura Petho Johnson , brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Alexander J. Petho, Jr. and wife Debbie, along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family also survive him.
Preceding Daniel in death were his mother, Mamie Elizabeth Hinote Roberson; brothers, Donald and Dalton Roberson; father-in-law, Alexander Joseph Petho, Sr.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret Catholic Church in Albany on Monday, June 29, 2009 at 10:00 a.m., officiated by Fr. Randy Cuevas. interment will follow in St. Margaret Catholic Church Cemetery.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, west of Hammond on Sunday, June 28th from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The visitation will resume at the funeral home chapel on Monday from at 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.

Jennie Penzato Pellichino
Jennie Penzato Pellichino, one of God's special creations returned to heaven at the age of 84 years old. She was a native and life long resident of Hammond, Louisiana . Mrs. Pellichino was retired from Tangi Meat Packers, and was one of the longest living Little Italy Road residents. She was a devoted homemaker and beloved mother of five children.
Surviving are her son, Joe Pete Pellichino and his wife Shirley G. Pellichino, son, Russell L. Pellichino and his wife Betty Pellichino, daughter, Jo Ann Pellichino Gaspard and her husband, E.J. Gaspard Jr.; son, Donald J. Pellichino and his wife Lelia M. Pellichino, who was indeed like a daughter; son, Michael D. Pellichino; and a nephew, Joe F. "Bo" Pellichino, who was as close as a son.
Jennie was grandmother to six unique grandchildren, Rex, Paige, Randy, Brad, Amy and Matthew; and great-grandmother to nine exceptional great-grandchildren. She leaves behind three sisters, Mary Skifano, Margaret Pellichino and her husband, Frank Pellichino, Angie Lamonica; and brother, Sam Penzato; two sister-in-laws, Fannie and Josie Penzato. To say she was sweet doesn't come close to describing her. She was an exceptional aunt to many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Pete Pellichino, three brothers, Nobie, Tony and Joe Penzato and her parents, Rosario and Josephine Domiano Penzato. She enjoyed your presence at her table for coffee and conversation. She was dedicated and loved her family.
Friends will be received Monday, June 29, 2009, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Hammond.
Services will be held at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Monday, June 29, 2009 at 11:00 am with Fr. Cayet Mangiaracina, O.P. officiating.
interment will follow in the Rose Memorial Park Cemetery
in Hammond.

Roy A. Yarborough
Roy Avery Yarborough, 80 years old, died on Friday at his residence in Hammond.
He was a native of Kentwood and a member of Natalbany Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Josephine "Jody" Yarborough, a native of Greensburg, son, Roy A. Yarborough, Jr. and his wife, Lisa Robertson Yarborough of Loranger, their children, Jacob "Jake" and Tristin Yarborough. He is also survived by his daughter, Tara Y. Varisco and her husband, Brent Varisco of Ponchatoula, their children, Brande, Courtney, and Cody Varisco.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lanis and Pearl Brabham Yarborough of Kentwood, brothers, Lanis Yarborough, Jr., Willie Joe Yarborough, Clarence Pearson, Lee Ponder Yarborough, Hubert Yarborough, and Bobby Yarborough, sisters, Hilda Stevens, Jewel Herrington, and Floye Skaggs Ethridge.
Roy retired from the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors in 1987 with 23.5 years of service as the assistant director and director. He also served in the National Contractors Licensing Association and was elected to the Presidency of the Association for three separate terms. He served in the United State Army from 1951 until 1953. He played an active role in his community by serving on numerous boards and was active in politics. During his lifetime, he was an active outdoorsman and was a mentor to numerous young men introducing them to the sport of hunting.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Blackwell, Roy Herrington, Billy Yarborough, Matthew Mead, Richy Yarborough, and David Brabham. Honorary pallbearers will be Hubert "Brother" Yarborough, Jr., Michael Trapen, Jake Yarborough, and Cody Varisco.
Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, from 9 a.m. on Tuesday until religious services at 11:00AM Tuesday. Services conducted by Rev. Joey Miller.
interment Woodland Cemetery, Kentwood, LA.
Irma Coats Coates
Age 91, a native of Springfield and longtime resident of Pumpkin Center, Irma Coates, Passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2009 at North Oaks Medical Center. She was a 1936 graduate of Ponchatoula High School and a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church. A loving mother and grandmother, she had a passion for travel.
Ms. Coates leaves behind two daughters, Betty Stewart and husband Roy Harris of Pumpkin Center, Judy Hooter and husband Kirby of Ponchatoula; two sons, Jerry Coates of Pumpkin Center, and Billy Coates and wife Donnis of both Denham Springs, Louisiana and DeBecque, Colorado. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding Ms. Coates in death were her husband, Willard Coates, grandson, Paul Coates and sisters, Geraldine Anderson and Hilda Couch.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 11:30 a.m., with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. The services will be conducted by Rev. Randall Pike and assisted by Rev. Mike Vaughn. interment will follow in Jerusalem Baptist Church Cemetery.

Rita Faye Gordon, 55 years old of Slidell, formerly of Albany died Sunday, June 28, 2009, at her residence
She was born on April 2, 1954, in Independence.
Surviving are daughter & son-in-law, Cylest and Eric Dufour; daughters, Renee Wallace and Connie Wallace; grandchildren, Eric, Stacey, Chelsy, Chris, Bethany,Whitney, Heaven and Ray Ray; 4 brothers, Jack "Gordon" Fralick, Willie Dee Stewart, Billy Joe Gordon and Larry Wayne Gordon; 2 sisters, Shirley Albin and Geraldine Schum.
She is preceded in death by husband, Nolan Stacey Wallace; parents, Willie "Bill" Gordon Sr. and Bessie McCallister Gordon; brother, Willie Gordon Jr. ; sister, Anna'Ree Gordon.
Friends will be received Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at the Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond from 10:00 A.M. until services.
Services will be held in the funeral home chapel, Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at 2:00P.M.
