BILLIE RUTH RITTER
PONCHATOULA -- Billie Ruth Ritter, 79, died at her home, Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005.
A native Good Pine in LaSalle Parish, she was a retired employee of the state of Louisiana , retiring as the assistant director of the Louisiana Higher Education Assistance Commission. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Ponchatoula.
She is survived by her husband, Perry Ritter of Ponchatoula; a son, Michael Perry Ritter of Youngsville; and a daughter, Deborah V. Ritter of Youngsville; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Dale Stringer; and two sisters, Doris Williams and Louise McDaniel.
Burial was today at Resthaven Gardens of Memory in Baton Rouge.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home, P.O. Box 4196, Monroe, LA 71211 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

LEKEISHA BARNWELL DAVIDSON
Lekeisha "Cookie" Barnwell Davidson, 23, died Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond.
She is survived by her husband, Perry Davidson and her son, Tremaine Ladarius "T.J." Davidson, both of Hammond; a stepdaughter, Maryana Jackson of LaPlace; her mother, Bonnie Brumfield of Independence; her birth mother, Vivina Barnwell of Lake Lacoochee, Fla.; and her birth father, Sammuel Ceazer of Miami.
Visitation will be Saturday at Mount Bethel Baptist Church, Albany, from 10 a.m. until the Rev. Andrew Jackson conducts the funeral at noon.
Burial will be at Fleming Cemetery, Independence.

PATRINA DORSEY
INDEPENDENCE -- Patrina Dorsey, 43, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005, at her home.
A native of Covington, she was a homemaker.
Survivors include two sisters, Jacqueline Cyprian of Independence and Carlotta Butler of Algiers; two brothers, Craig Earl Dorsey and Desmoin Carl Dorsey, both of Mandeville; and her mother, Ethel Booker of Covington.
Her father preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Morning Star Baptist Church, Mandeville.

LOUISE CLAIR BODKER GAUDE
PONCHATOULA -- Louise Clair Bodker Gaude, 90, died Monday, Jan. 3, 2005, at her home.
Survivors include one daughter, Lynn Gaude Ferrant of Ponchatoula; one son, Lyman "Don" E. Gaude of Mobile, Ala.; two brothers, William H. Bodker II of Lafayette and John Louis Bodker of Pasadena, Texas ; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyman E. Gaude Sr.; and her parents, William H. and Mable Clair Woods Bodker.
A Mass of Christian burial will be Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Harvey Blaschko will officiate.
Burial will be at Ponchatoula Cemetery.

JOYCE MCDANIEL MCINTYRE
KENTWOOD -- Joyce McDaniel McIntyre, 78, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at Rapides Regional Medical Center, Alexandria.
She is survived by two daughters, Cherlyon B. Nesom of Pine Grove and Nicole McIntyre of Pineville; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
Her parents, Nick and Pearl Mae McDaniel, preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
SUE ANN SAMPERE PIGNO
TICKFAW -- Sue Ann Sampere Pigno, 71, died Monday, Jan. 3, 2005, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond.
A native of Independence, she is survived by her husband, Sam J. Pigno; two daughters, Cindy Ann Pigno Fedele and Linda Marie Pigno; two sisters, Connie Smith of Zachary and Mary Ann Accardo of Baton Rouge; and two grandchildren.
Her father, Joe Sampere; her mother, Odile Langlois Sampere Inzinna; and one grandchild, preceded her in death.
Visitation will today at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 8 until 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 at Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church followed by burial at the church cemetery.
LENA FOSTER RABORN
GREENSBURG -- Lena Foster Raborn, 92, died Monday, Jan. 3, 2005, at St. Helena Parish Nursing Home, Greensburg.
She was a housewife; a O.E.S. member of Greensburg; a member of the St. Helena Historical Society; and a member of the Greensburg United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, Hollis E. Raborn Jr. of Greensburg; and three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis E. Raborn Sr.; her parents, T.J. and Mary McClendon Foster; her brother, Warren Foster; and one sister, Thelma Foster Addison.
Visitation will be Thursday at Greensburg United Methodist Church, from noon until the Rev. William Sewell conducts the funeral at 3 p.m.
Burial will be at Greensburg Cemetery, Greensburg.

MARY ANN ARANYOSI
Mary Ann Aranyosi, a native of Bronx, New York, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond.
She is survived by her aunt, Katherine Kreko of Hammond, and numerous other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Theresa Manzak Aranyosi.
Mass and burial was today at St. Margaret Catholic Church, Albany.

GIRTRUE HUGHES
The Rev. Alfred Hart conducted funeral services today at the Greater Rock Zion Baptist Church in Natalbany for Girtrue Hughes, and burial was at Holly Gardens Cemetery
in Hammond.
Hughes, 85, a native of Centerville, Miss., died Friday, Dec. 31, 2004, at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond.
Survivors include two daughters, Katie Ruth Daniels and Christean Rollins, both of Hammond; two brothers, John Singleton Jr. and Henry Singleton, both of Centerville, Miss.; four sisters, Charise Freeman and Rosie Lee Singleton, both of Baton Rouge, Calena Jones of McComb, Miss., and Florence Stevenson of Centerville, Miss.; and 17 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and 33 great-great-grandchildren.

CHARLES PRESTON GORDON
ROBERT -- Charles Preston Gordon, 92, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond.
Born in Sicily Island, he was a member of Robert Church of God. He was a retired millwright, Local 720 of Baton Rouge.
Survivors include one son, Clyde Gordon of Robert; one daughter, Shirley Gordon Pellichino of Ponchatoula; one brother, Luther Gordon of Satsuma; and three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Calmes Gordon; a son, David Gordon; his parents, George and Sena Sibley Gordon; five sisters, Effie Robertson, Roberta Alford, Estelle Schmidt, Bernice Davis and Clara Reeves; and two brothers, Jesse and Stanley Gordon.
Visitation will be Friday at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 10 a.m. until the funeral at 2 p.m. The Rev. Carl Webb and the Rev. James Ray Robertson will be in charge.
Burial will be at Cooper Cemetery.
