LORANGER -- Carol Imbornone Geissler, 61, died on Friday, Jan. 7, 2005, at her home in Loranger.
She was a resident of Loranger and a native of New Orleans.
Visitation will be at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula.
Burial will follow in St. Dominick Catholic Church Cemetery.
Harry McKneely & Son is in charge of arrangements, which are incomplete at this time.
RHEA DUTARTRE KING
DENHAM SPRINGS -- Rhea duTartre King, 62, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005, at her home.
A graduate of high school in Pine Grove, she was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church. She worked and retired from the State Department of Public Health in Amite.
She is survived by her sister, Mildre duTartre King of Denham Springs; and her brother, Clyde Worsham King of Springfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Corrine King.
Visitation will be Friday at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 6 to 9 p.m., and Saturday from 9 until the funeral service at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at Pine Grove Methodist Church, Pine Grove.
VIOLA M. MCLEAN
AMITE -- Viola M. McLean, 91, died Friday, Jan. 7, 2005, at Dauterive Hospital, New Iberia.
A native of Baldwin County, Ala., she was a housewife.
Survivors include one daughter, Mildred L. McGlothren of Amite; one son, Rufus McLean of St. Martinville; and 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Edward R. McLean; and one son, Ronnie McLean, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be today at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 6 to 10 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. The Rev. Richard McGee will conduct the funeral at 1 p.m.
Burial will be at Wilmer Cemetery, Wilmer.
FRANK MONISTERE SR.
JEFFERSON -- Frank Monistere Sr. died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Bourgeois Monistere; four sons, Samuel, Frank Jr., John and Paul Monistere; a sister, Katie Zafutto; a brother, Dominic Monistere; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Josephine Calabrese and Sam Monistere; and two brothers, Chris and Albert Monistere.
A funeral Mass was conducted Saturday at St. Rita Catholic Church, Jefferson .
Burial was at Rose Memorial Cemetery, Hammond.
Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp, Metairie, was in charge.
ARBELL BYRD
Arbell Bryd, 72, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005, at her home.
Born in Covington County, Miss., she was a homemaker.
Survivors include three sons, Skotie and Robin Courtney, both of Petal, Miss., and Billy Courtney of Hammond; one sister, Carrie B. Rimpf of Cantonment, Fla.; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Courtney; a son, Tommy Courtney; two daughters, Janie and Ira Courtney; her parents, Ernest and Barbara Hand Byrd; her brother, Sam Byrd; and one sister, Ethel Hayhurst.
The Rev. Billie Kennedy conducted the funeral today, and burial was at Holly Gardens Cemetery, Hammond.

CHARLEY CHAVERS
TICKFAW -- Charley Chavers, 55, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005, at Lallie Kemp Medical Center, Independence.
Born in Independence, he is survived by three daughters, Juanita Chavers of Baton Rouge, Darlene Chavers Blount of Walker and Chaslyn Charlene Vasquez of Ponchatoula; one son, John Chavers of Liberty, Miss.; three sisters, Shirley Chavers Stanley of Tickfaw, Carol Chavers Vercher of Westwego and twin Charlene Chavers Johnson of Kenner; one brother, Gerald Chavers of Tickfaw; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 10 a.m. until the funeral at 2 p.m.
Burial will be at Briar Patch Cemetery, Loranger.
NORMAN DELATTE
ALBANY -- Norman Delatte, 80 , died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond.
Retired from the Louisiana Department of Forestry having served as a reforester, he was a native of Albany.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel Rancy White Delatte of Albany; three daughters, Earleen Delatte Herring of Gillsburg, Miss., JoAnn Delatte McCarrol of Albany and Brenda Delatte Lee of Killian; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eli and Jamellia Keller Delatte; his son, Dennis Norman Delatte; one grandchild and 12 sisters and brothers.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 10 p.m. at Blood River Baptist Church, Albany, and Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. until the Rev. L.C. Lord conducts the funeral at 10.
Burial will be at James Chapel Cemetery, Holden.
Geisler Funeral Home, Albany, is in charge.

Survivors include one son, Arthur Geissler III of Ponchatoula; one daughter, Hope G. Egan of Wrightstown, Wis.; one sister, Karen Keller of New Orleans; two brothers, Dominick Imbornone Jr. of New Orleans and Herman Ahlers of Roundrock, Texas ; and five grandchildren.
Her husband, Arthur Geissler Jr.; her father, Dominick Imbornone Sr.; her mother, Patricia Ahlers; and one brother, Darrell Imbornone, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be Thursday at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, from 9 a.m. until the Rev. Stanley Day conducts the funeral at 2 p.m.
Burial will be at St. Dominick Catholic Church Cemetery.
JESSIE RUTH SCHROEDER KINCHEN
KILLIAN -- Jessie Ruth Schroeder Kinchen, 79, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005, at Lakeview Medical Center, Mandeville.
Survivors include one son, Tony Kinchen Jr. of Hammond; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Dupree Tony Kinchen; two sons, Lindell and Edward Kinchen; her parents, Hazel Blystad Schroeder and John Schroeder; one brother, Jimmy Schroeder; and two sisters, Hazel Cook and Edith Timberlake, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be today at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. until the funeral at 11.
Burial will be at Schroeder Cemetery, Killian.
GEORGETTE LUTIFE SAIK
Georgette Lutife Saik, 87, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005, at her home.
A native of Toleda, Ohio, she is survived by three daughters, Debbie Saik Stassi and Denise Saik, both of Hammond, and Patti Saik of St. Louis; and one sister, Violet Lutife Samaha of Baton Rouge.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Saik; her parents, George and Minnie Abdelnour Lutife; two sisters, Margaret and Lucille; and three brothers, George, Mitchell and Eli.
The Rev. Paul Bailey conducted the funeral this afternoon, and burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, was in charge.
