BATON ROUGE -- Angelo D. DiVincenti died at his home in Baton Rouge, Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005.

He was native of Independence.

Visitation will be Friday at St. Helena Catholic Church, Amite, from 10 a.m. until the funeral at 1 p.m.

Burial will be at Colonial Cemetery, Independence.

DAVID ALAN HERBERT

SPRINGFIELD -- David Alan Herbert, 46, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005, at East Jefferson General Hospital.

He was an electrician and a club board member of Zeus Carnival.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita Herbert of Springfield; his parents, Jacqueline Leblanc of Bush and Lloyd and Cookie White of Springfield; six sisters, Kim Herbert Crain, Deborah Woods , Rhonda Herbert, Rene Herbert, Dawn Herbert and Stacy White ; and seven brothers, Harry, Keith and James Herbert, Dean Woods , Lloyd White Jr., Robert Newton and James David Crain.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbur Paul Herbert.

N.A. James Funeral Home, Hammond, was in charge.

CATHERINE MACALUSO MANNINO

Catherine Macaluso Mannino, 49, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2005, at her home.

Survivors include two daughters, Sadie and Becky Mannino of Hammond; and one sister, Sharon Chapman of Mandeville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Brosi and Dorothy Maciejewski Macaluso; and one sister, Helen Suzanne Macaluso.

The funeral was held this afternoon at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral, Hammond.

Burial will be at Rose Memorial Park Cemetery.

CLANFORT ROBINSON

Clanfort Robinson, 59, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005.

Visitation will be Friday at Richardson Funeral Home, Hammond, from 5 to 9 p.m. The funeral will be Saturday at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Mobile, Ala., at 1 p.m. The Rev. Rudolph Overstreet will conduct the service.

Burial will be at Memorial Garden Cemetery, Mobile.

MARTHA MARIE KYZAR BANKSTON

BAPTIST -- Martha Marie "Teannie" Kyzar Bankston, 77, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, at her home.

A native of Tangipahoa Parish, she is survived by her son, James R. "Jimmy" Bankston Jr. of Baptist; two daughters, Carol Ann Jones and Linda Marie Botkin, both of Baptist; one brother, Herbert C. Kyzar Jr. of Hammond; one sister, Daisy Evans of Independence; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. "Buster" Bankston; an infant son, Michael Dewayne Bankston; and her parents, Herbert Clarence and Nannie Clayton Kyzar.
Visitation will be Thursday at Geisler Funeral Home, Hammond, from 9 a.m. until the Rev. Jeff McCon conducts the funeral at 1 p.m.

Burial will be at Gatlin Cemetery, Baptist.

ELTON GUY COURTNEY JR.

GONZALES -- Elton Guy "Buddy" Courtney Jr., 67, a native of Chaudrant, died Monday, Dec. 20, 2004, in Baton Rouge.

A U.S. Air Force veteran of Vietnam and the Korean conflict, he was self-employed with Cajun Software.

He was a member of Musket Gang Bowling League of Baton Rouge.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Joyce Lewis Courtney of Gonzales; two daughters, Kim Verpraet of Holden and Dawn Goodson of Gonzales; one sister, Beverly Bridges of Robert; one brother, Johnny Courtney of Holden; and three grandchildren.

His parents, Elton Guy Sr. and Veda Lee Harris Courtney, preceded him in death.

Visitation will be today at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, from 6 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. until the funeral at 10. A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. at Lewis New Cypress Cemetery, Deridder.

MALAJAH JANEE DUNN

Malajah Janee Dunn, 6 months old, died at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond.

Her parents are Christopher and Antionette Dunn.

The Rev. Ennis Johnson conducted the funeral today at Emanuel Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Burial was at Holly Gardens Cemetery, Hammond.

N.A. James Funeral Home, Hammond, was in charge.

LILLIE MAE HUTCHINSON EWALIKO

KENNER -- Lillie Mae Hutchinson Ewaliko, 97, died Monday, Dec. 20, 2004, at her home.

A native of Woodhaven, she is survived by two daughters, Verna Hutchinson and Marie Langla, both of Kenner; three sons, Edward O. Hutchinson of Bogalusa, Lionel Lew Hutchinson of Kenner and Max Hutchinson of Metairie; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe S. Hutchinson; her second husband, John Ewaliko; her parents, Annie Carroll Brown and John Brown; one daughter, Alice Aggie Hutchinson; and one sister, Mary Ellen Kinchen.

The Rev. Billy Kennedy conducted the funeral today, and burial was at New Haven Church Cemetery.

Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, was in charge.

WILLIE DAVIS MCGEHEE

PONCHATOULA -- Willie Davis "W.D." McGehee, 88, a retired teacher from the Tangipahoa Parish School System, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, at North Oaks Medical Center.

He was a native of Gillsburg, Miss., a charter member of the Westside Baptist Church in Ponchatoula and served his country first in the U.S. Navy then in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Hall McGehee of Ponchatoula; a son, Dan Hall McGehee, both of Ponchatoula; a daughter, Kay McGehee Jolly; and two grandchildren.

His parents, Jake and Ella William McGehee; four sisters, Gladys McGehee Chamberlin, Robbie Smith, Dorothy Hayes and Virginia Day; and one brother, C.D. McGehee, preceded him in death.

Visitation will be at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula tonight from 6 to 8 and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. until Gerald Stevens conducts the funeral at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Silver Creek Cemetery, Dykes Crossing.

EDDIE TATE

NATALBANY -- Eddie Tate, 77, at native of Plaquemine, died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2004, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond.

He was a machine operator.

Survivors include his wife, Maggie Tate of Natalbany; one daughter, Marion Gray of Hammond; and one brother, Robert Tate of Hammond.

The funeral will be Thursday at 7 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home, Hammond. Dismissal will be at the funeral home Christmas Eve morning at 10 followed by burial at Holly Garden Cemetery, Hammond.

TERRY MAE COGHLAN

Terry Mae Goghlan, 78, died Monday, Dec. 20, 2004, at Sunrise Senior Living at Live Oak Village, Hammond.

A native of Kentwood, she was a bank clerk.

Survivors include one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luke Coghlan and Nannie Rose Coghlan; and one brother, Cecil Coghlan.

The Rev. Bradley Rushing will conduct a graveside service Monday at Woodland Cemetery, Kentwood.

McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, is in charge.

MYRTLE CORKERN

AMITE -- Myrtle Corkern, 93, a native of Tangipahoa Parish, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004, at her home.

Survivors include three daughters, Gale Ballard and Linda Reland, both of Amite, and Judy Littles of Praireville; a son, Christopher Corkern of Belle Chasse; two sisters, Ethyl Meyn and Verlie Davidson, both of Amite; 26 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Geisler Funeral Home in Albany Friday from at 8 a.m. until the funeral at 10:30 . Burial will be in Sylvest Cemetery, east of Amite.
