HELEN BROOKS GATES
KENTWOOD -- Helen Brooks Gates, 73, a housewife, died Monday, Dec. 13, 2004, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond.
A native of New Orleans, she was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church where she served a clerk for many yeas and was a Sunday School teacher, a Vacation Bible School teacher, a member of the choir and the Sunshine Choir.
She was also a member and Past Worthy Matron of the Walter T. Ott Order of Eastern Star No. 217 of Spring Creek.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur Gates of Kentwood; one daughter, Susan Simpson of Kentwood; two grandchildren; four sisters, Dorothy Brooks of Kentwood, Mildred B. Easley and Beverly B. LeTard, both of Amite, and Catherine B. Wright of Fairhope, Ala.; and two brothers, George A. Brooks Jr. of LaMarque, Texas , and Richard E. Brooks of Kentwood.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George A. Brooks Sr. and Bettie Hart Brooks; and one sister, Anna B. Reed.
Visitation will be today at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, from 6 to 9 p.m. with an Eastern Star service at 7 and Thursday at Spring Creek Baptist Church from 10 a.m. until the funeral at 11, the Rev. Danny Smith officiating.
Burial will be at Spring Creek Cemetery, Spring Creek.
ADAM JOHN MCMORRIS
PONCHATOULA -- Adam John McMorris, 76, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond.
Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula.
YVONNE VAN WESEMAEL SCHIRO
INDEPENDENCE -- Yvonne Van Wesemael Schiro, 83, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, at her home.
A native of Brussells, Belgium, she was a housewife.
Survivors include her husband, Nick P. Schiro of Independence; her daughter, Claudette Schiro Hayden of Amite; one son, Gary Anthony Schiro of Amite; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Camile Remy Van Wesemael; her mother, Alphonsine Van Wesemael; one brother, Joseph "Jeff" Van Wesemael; and one sister, Madeline Giele.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held this morning at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church, and burial was in Colonial Mausoleum, Independence.
McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, was in charge.
HENRY GENE ARNOLD
PONCHATOULA -- Henry Gene Arnold, 67, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, at his home.
A native and resident of Ponchatoula, Arnold is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Inez Hano Arnold; sister Joice Arnold Blow; and an infant sister.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred "Jean" Berthelot Arnold of Ponchatoula; two daughters, Summer A. Sharp of Ponchatoula and Brandie A. Lagarde of Ponchatoula; a son, Timothy "Tim" Arnold of Denham Springs; two brothers, John "Sonny" Arnold of Madisonville and Ricky Arnold of Bedico; seven grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula. The funeral will start in the funeral home chapel immediately after visitation ends tonight and will be conducted by Ricky Arnold and the Revs. Leo Miller and Joe Stone.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to North Oaks Hospice, P.O. Box 2668, Hammond, LA 70404.
JEAN LACIURA CRAWFORD
HOUSTON -- Jean Laciura Crawford, 87, died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004, at her home.
A native of Independence, she was preceded in death by her parents, Gasper and Virginia Mi-chele Laciura, and a daughter, Virginia Valenti Fannaly.
Survivors include her daughter Ann Valenti Salser of Houston; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral was Saturday at Colonial Cemetery
with interment at Colonial Mausoleum.

JOSHUA LUCIEN LAMY SR.
Joshua Lucien Lamy Sr., 32, died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004, at North Oaks Medical Center.
A native of New Orleans, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lucien and Jenny Parria Munson and Lucille Boykin.
Survivors include his wife, Tanya Lipsey Lamy of Ham-mond; a daughter, Jenna Lynn Lamy of Ham-mond; two sons, Joshua Lucien Lamy Jr. and Jacob Lee Lamy, both of Hammond; his parents, Joseph and Margaret Munson Lamy, both of Bay St. Louis, Miss.; a sister, Charmaine B. Cantelli of Mandeville; and brother Joseph "Bubby" Lamy Jr. of Bay St. Louis.
Visitation will be at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home in Hammond Monday from 6 to 10 p.m. and Tuesday from 8 a.m. until the funeral at 2 p.m. The Rev. Kevin Dunn will conduct the service in the funeral home chapel. Burial will occur at New Haven Baptist Church Cemetery.

STEVE WILLIAM WEBB
Steve William Webb, 79, died Monday, Nov. 29, 2004, at Belle Maison Nursing Home.
A native of Kenner, Webb was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Kemp Webb; his parents, William and Fannie Moyer Webb; three sisters, Joy Ranier, Webbie Bates and Grace Bates; and two brothers, Dan and R. L. Webb.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy Magee of Kenner and Sue Bradley of Ponchatoula; a sister, Clinton Ryan of Wesson, Miss.; and two grandsons.
Visitation and the funeral were held last month. interment occurred at Natchez Trace Memorial Park Cemetery.

ROBERT NORRIS DELATTE
PONCHATOULA -- Visitation will be at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, tonight from 6 to 10 for Robert Norris Delatte, 55, who died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, at his home.
He was a Boy Scout Master for Troop 251 in Robert, a member of the Boilermaker's Local Union 37 of New Orleans and member of Bedico Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Anita "Toni" Perea Delatte; a daughter, Jodee Delatte; a son, Robert Shea Delatte; his stepfather, Lee Roy Blaine of Clinton, Mo.; a brother, Victor Blaine of Harrisonville, Mo.; three sisters, Susan Gay Delatte Hoover of Robert, Janie Delatte Hatcher of Ponchatoula and Belinda Blaine Reeves of Harrisonville, Mo.
His parents, Norris Joseph and Lea Phillips Delatte Blaine, and a brother, Norris Joseph Delatte Jr., preceded him in death.
Visitation will continue Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. until the Rev. Leo Miller conducts the funeral at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Cooper Cemetery, Ponchatoula.
SELMA GEDER
TANGIPAHOA -- Selma Geder, 75, a native of Franklinton, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, at his home.
Survivors include four daughters, five sons, a sister, Josie Thomas of Tangipahoa; and a brother, Joseph Geder of Baton Rouge.
His parents, the Rev. Harrison and Lucy Geder, preceded him in death as did four sisters, five brothers, a daughter and a son.
Visitation was Sunday at Angelic Funeral Home, Roseland. The Rev. Mack Hurst conducted the funeral today, and burial was at Crystal Springs Cemetery, Mt. Hermon.
JOHN WILLIAM LEA
KENTWOOD -- John William Lea, 48, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, at University Hospital, New Orleans.
He was disabled.
Survivors included his mother, Ila L. Lea of Kentwood, and his brother, Frederick Allan Lea. His father, Johnnie Lea, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. until the Rev. William P. Hyde conducts the funeral at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Hyde Cemetery, Chesbrough.
THOMAS "TOMMY" MICHAEL TALLO
Visitation will be at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 5 to 10 tonight for Thomas "Tommy" Michael Tallo, 42, who died at his home on Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council No. 2952 and was a drag racer and a member of the NHRA. He worked as an assistant manager for Coburn Supply Co. of Hammond.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Mulkey Tallo of Hammond; his son, Chad Michael Tallo of Hammond; his mother, Carmelite Ragusa Tallo of Hammond; a sister, Diane Tallo Thornhill of Hammond; and a brother, Robert "Bobby"Tallo of Hammond.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bernard "Benny" Tallo, and his grandparents, Joseph and Mary DePaula Tallo and Thomas and Frances Alfonso Ragusa.
Visitation will continue Tuesday at the funeral home from 8 until the funeral at 10 a.m. The Rev. Wallace Gainey will conduct the service.
Burial will be at Rose Memorial Park Cemetery, Hammond.
MARGUERITE FLETCHER GAUTREAUX
NEW ORLEANS -- Marguerite Fletcher Gautreaux, 89, died Monday, Nov. 29, 2004.
She is survived by her children, John F. Sr., Riley T. and Jack R. Gautreaux; one daughter, Marguerite Gautreaux Hymel; and one sister, Jewell F. Bennett; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orion Maitland Gautreaux; and one son, Michael O. Gautreaux.
Private services were held today at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home.
