FRANCES ANN EASLEY JONES

INDEPENDENCE -- Frances Ann Easley Jones, 65, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004 at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond.

A former member of Lawrence Baptist Church, she was a retired cook with the Tangipahoa Parish School Board.

She is survived by three sons, Bobby Glenn Jones Jr. of Kentwood, Ronald Jeffery Jones of Wilmer and Tommy Dewayne Jones of Chesbrough; two daughters, Sandra Lynn Badon of Independence and Glynda Ann Toney of Franklinton; her mother, Rebecca A. Easley of Amite; three sisters, Mary Wilkinson of Loranger, Diane Dunlap of Walker and Catha Gaines Vampran of Amite; one brother, Robert Easley of Amite; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Bobby Glenn Jones Sr.; her father, Jeff Easley; one brother, James N. Easley Sr. and two grandchildren preceded her in death.

The Revs. Danny Smith and Elester Raines conducted the services today and burial was at Lee Cemetery, Amite.

McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, was in charge.

PATRICIA MAE SANDERS FLYNN

BURBANK, Calif. -- Amite native Patricia Mae Sanders Flynn, 87, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2004, at St. Joseph Hospital in Burbank after a lengthy illness.

She is survived by her husband, Cullie Dunn Flynn of Burbank; one son, Richard Don Flynn of Burbank; one daughter, Mary Jane Williams of Dana Point, Calif.; one grandchild; one brother, Richard S. "Bunkie" Sanders; and one sister, Catherine Sanders Shafer of Hammond.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Hardy Sanders and Belle Bradford Sanders; and two sisters, Addie Oma Sanders Varnado and Mayme Sanders Hayden.

The Rev. Mike Flynn conducted a graveside service at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Los Angeles.

ANTOINETTE M. FOSTER

Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Yellowwater Baptist Church, Hammond, for Antoinette M. Foster.

Foster, 52, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004, at her home.

Survivors include her former husband, Wayne Foster of Ponchatoula; two daughters, Wonderia Foster Spears of Pensacola, Fla., and Telander Foster Martin of Dallas; one brother, George Alexander McGary of Hammond; and two grandchildren.

The Rev. Virgil Ard will conduct the funeral Thursday at the church at 11 a.m., and burial will follow at Holly Gardens Cemetery, Hammond.

N.A. James Funeral Home, Hammond, is in charge.

LEON ANTHONY GEROMANOS JR.

DELAND, FL. -- Leon Anthony "Tony" Geromanos Jr., 84, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2004, at his home.

A native of Carteret, N.J., he was a retired captain for the U. S. Army for 21 years. He served in World War II and was a recipient of the Purple Heart and two Bronze Star Medals. He was parts manager for Bill Holler Chevrolet and the manager for DeLand Auto Parts. He was a member of the 503rd Parachute Regimental Combat Team Association, Louisiana Coastal Conservation Association and First United Methodist Church of DeLand.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Geromanos of DeLand and George Geromanos of Ponchatoula; a daughter, Nancy McGregor of DeLand; a brother, Thomas Geromanos of Deland; and two grandsons.

His wife of 46 years, Priscilla H. Geromanos, preceded him in death.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Volusia/Flager, 3800 Woodbrian Trail, Port Orange, FL 21129 or a charity of one's choice.

Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, Orange City, Fla., was in charge.

OSEPH JOHN GIAMALVA

INDEPENDENCE -- Joseph John Giamalva, 78, died Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, at his home.

A native of Jackson ville, Fla., he was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, a retired millwright and Tangipahoa Parish School System maintenance department employee.

Survivors include his wife, Congetta Sampere Giamalva of Independence; two sons, Frank J. and Roy M. Giamalva, both of Independence; one daughter, Mamie Giamalva Statham of Hammond; three sisters, Elma Tanner of Gastonia, N.C., Irma Avant of Jackson ville, Fla., and Vera Littlefield of Florence, S.C.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Dominica Valenti Giamalva; and two brothers, Lawrence James "L.J." Gaskins and Charles B. Ard.

Visitation will be Wednesday at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 9 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Paul McDuffie will conduct a Mass of Christian Burial at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church, Independence, at 2 p.m.

Burial will be at Colonial Cemetery, Independence.

WILLIAM DAVE MCCLURE

KENTWOOD -- William Dave "Bill" McClure, 68, a native of Smithville, Texas , died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004.

He received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Texas in Austin. He was retired from Amax Nickel in New Orleans after 20 years as a chemical engineer and plant supervisor. He was a dedicated member of East Fork Baptist Church.

Survivors include his daughter, Melissa Joe McClure French, Melinda Ann McClure Blum, Mary Lois McClure Dattola; a sister, Dianna Saunders; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Sally Jo Malone McClure.

Visitation will be at East Fork Baptist Church, East Fork, Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the Rev. Don Bishop conducts the funeral at 1 p.m. Burial will be in East Fork Cemetery.

McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, is in charge of arrangements.

HOWARD J. PELTIER

TWIN LAKES, Wis. -- Burial was Monday for Howard J. Peltier, 87, who died Thursday, Oct. 28, 2004, at his home.

Born in St. James, he served in the U.S. Army as a private first class. He served overseas in Northern France, the Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe.

He worked for 35 years in a tool and die setup for American Motors, retiring in 1982. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Twin Lakes, Twin Lakes American Legion Post 544, the 40 et 8, the Past Commander's Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars and was an active committeeman of the Boy Scouts and was a Boy Scout leader. He was also active in the Babe Ruth League and Little League.

Survivors include three sons, Leonard Peltier of Texas , Randy Peltier of Kokomo, Ind., and Brian Peltier of Nixa, Mo.; three daughters, Lucille Odom of Ponchatoula, Annette Lindberg of McKinney, Texas , and Renee Petranech of Lilly Lake; three brothers, Edward and Ernest Peltier, both of Ponchatoula, and Joseph "J.C." Peltier of Natchitoches; seven sisters, Lillian Perque and Pearl Gross, both of Thibodeaux, Nellie Watts, Florence Peltier, Madeline Thibodeaux, Enola DeGruy and Anna Mae Mixon, all of Ponchatoula; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

His parents, Felix and Annette Borne Peltier; his brother, Emmette; one sister, Ethel Adams; and one grandchild, preceded him in death.

Haase-Derrick-Lockwood Funeral Home, Twin Lakes, was in charge.

NAOMI K. VELEN

KENTWOOD -- Naomi K. Velen, 85, died at her home Monday, Nov. 8, 2004.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, Kentwood.

She is survived by her son, Richie Velen of Kentwood; two grandchildren and one grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Velen; one son, Jackie Velen; and her parents, Frank and Melinda Kliesch.

Visitation will be Wednesday at Hartman Funeral Home, McComb, Miss., from 12:30 p.m. until the Rev. Milton Kliesch conducts the funeral at 3.

Burial will be at Osyka Cemetery, Osyka, Miss.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association National Office, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601

ANGELO LOUIS BRETTILLO SR.

NATALBANY -- Angelo Louis Brettillo Sr., 73, died Thursday, June 10, 2004, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond.

Survivors include his wife, Thelma Carrere Brettillo of Natalbany; one daughters, Dinah Adams of Bogalusa; eight sons, Johnny Brettillo of Hammond, Angelo Nick Brettillo of Westwego, Troy, Bryan, and Kile Brettillo, all of Natalbany, Angelo Louis Brettillo Jr. of Ponchatoula, Tim Hebert of Marrero, and Gilbert Hebert of Marrero; one sisters, Anna Mae Pecoraro of Hammond; and 27 grandchildren and 13-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Nick and Mary Gendusa Brettillo; one daughter, Joan Robicheaux; six sisters, Genevieve Bonura, Pearl Rebowe, Lucy Lovetro, Josephine Distefano, Congetta Cangelosi and Felicie Pecoraro; and four brothers, Joseph "Jessie" Brettillo, Joseph Brettillo, Vincent and Johnny Brettillo.

Visitation will be tonight at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 to 10, and Saturday from 8 a.m. until the funeral at 1 p.m.

Burial will be at Rose Memorial Park Cemetery.

JOYCE GRACE THORNTON BLAHUT

SPRINGFIELD -- Joyce Grace Thornton Blahut died Thursday, June 10, 2004, at Louisiana Heart Hospital in LaCombe.

She is survived by one son, Donald Alex Blahut Jr. of Albany; one daughter, Pamela Blahut Thompson of Albany; six grandchildren; two sisters, two brothers and her former husband, Donald Blahut Sr. of Springfield.

Her parents, Bernice and Lou Ethel Grace Thornton, preceded her in death.

Graveside Services will be Friday at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Albany, conducted by the Rev. Joe Dunn, followed by burial at the church cemetery.

Geisler Funeral Home, Albany, is in charge.

RALPH JOSEPH FABRE

Ralph Joseph "Dopey" Fabre, 69, a native of Reserve, died at his home Wednesday, June 9, 2004.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 until 1955, and received the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.

He is survived by two sosn, Chad L. and Kevin M. Fabre; two brothers, Tommy and Howard Fabre; three sisters, Sidney Fabre, Cynthia F. Funk and Veronica F. Terrio; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Romaine Gil Fabre; his parents, Fernand and Edna Mae Haydel Fabre; and one brother, Malcolm Fabre.

Visitation will be at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, tonight from 6 to 9 with a prayer service at 7. The Rev. Leo Guillot will officiate.

Further services will be transferred to Crowe's Mortuary & Chapel, 828-286-2304, Central High Hill at US 74, Rutherford, N.C. 28139.
