MAE KLIESCH CUTRER

KENTWOOD -- Mae Kliesch Cutrer, 69, died Monday, May 31, 2004, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond.

A dairy farmer, she was a native of Cortez, Colo.; and a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Vernon C. Cutrer of Kentwood; one daughter, Pamela Cutrer Smith of Tickfaw; two sons, Randy and David Cutrer, both of Kentwood; three grandchildren; five brothers, Harley, Herbert, Phillip, Lyle and Bud Kliesch, all of Kentwood.

She was preceded in death by one son, Mike Cutrer; her parents, Ivan Paul Kliesch and Lula Belle Kliesch; one sister, Villa Beth Kliesch; and three brothers, Paul, Robert and Ray Kliesch.

Visitation will be today at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, from 6 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. until the Rev. Danny Smith conducts the funeral at 11.

Burial will be at Spring Creek Cemetery, Spring Creek.

WALLACE LEE

PONCHATOULA -- U.S. Air Force World War II veteran Wallace Lee, 89, died Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at Forrest Manor Nursing Home.

He is survived by one sister, Inez Lee Stanga of Bedico.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Hayden Lee; his parents, Alex and Janie Morris Lee; and two brothers, Jim and Wilmond Lee.

Visitation will be Thursday at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, from 6 to 10 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. until the funeral at 10.

Burial will be at Ponchatoula Cemetery.

DORETHA DAVIS MCGARY

Visitation will be tonight from 5 to 9 at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church, Ponchatoula, for Doretha Davis McGary, 76, who died Saturday, May 29, 2004, at her home.

A deaconess and member of Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church, she was a housewife.

She is survived by her husband, Henry McGary Jr.; seven daughters, Linda Carter, Loretta McNeil, Joann McGary and Wanda McGary , all of Lakeland, Fla., Doris Peters, Diane Harris and Lorraine Brumfield, all of Hammond; one sister, Clara Spears of Hammond; three brothers, the Rev. Lionel Davis and Hertis Davis, both of Clinton, Iowa, and John Davis of Ponchatoula; 21 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dora Guarain Davis; her father, Lionel Davis Sr.; one brother, Ivy Davis; and one sister, Juanita Scott.

The Rev. Mack McCraney will conduct the funeral Friday at 11 a.m., followed by burial at Cooper Cemetery, Robert.

Richardson Funeral Home, Hammond, is in charge.

ANTHONY J. PEREZ

AMITE -- Anthony J. Perez, 83, died Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at his home.

A native of Baton Rouge, Perez was a retired sewage superintendent for the city of Kenner.

He is survived by his wife, Alice L. Perez of Amite; one daughter, Aleta Keeling of Amite; one sister, Josie Currier of Amite; one brother, Mike Perez of Amite; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emanuella and Sam Perez; three sisters, Angelina D'Antoni, Mary Misita and Lena Bravata; and four brothers, Sam Buccere, Frank Buccere, Henry Perez and Dominick Perry.

Visitation will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the St. Helena Catholic Church in Amite until the funeral at noon. The Rev. Jack Nutter will conduct the service, and burial will be at Amite Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the North Oaks Hospice, at P.O. Box 2668, Hammond, LA 70404.

McKneely Funeral Home in Amite is in charge.

MILTON W. ROGERS

NATALBANY -- Milton W. Rogers, 78, died Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at The Veterans Administration Medical Center, New Orleans.

Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Geisler Funeral Home, Hammond.

JIMMY B. SEAL

KENTWOOD -- Jimmy B. Seal, 61, died Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at his home.

A native of Wilmer and a Merchant Marine, he was a scaffold builder.

He is survived by two daughters, Shasta M. Seal of Wilmer and Tammy L. Seal of St. Louis; one sister, Lucille McNeese of Amite; and one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ada Broom; his father, Steve Seal; and his wife, Mary L. Crowe.

Angelic Funeral Home, Roseland, is in charge.

ALICE SHERIDAN

Usher and Deaconess Board member at Greenfield Baptist Church, Alice "Babysister" Sheridan, 74, died Sunday, May 30, 2004, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond.

Survivors include three daughters, Marian Youngblood and Janice Lawrence, both of Hammond, and Cathy Sheridan Green of Seattle; one sister, Dorothy Lucien of Hammond; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Her parents, Joseph and Elizabeth McCraney Myers; her husband, Urical Sheridan; one son, Cedric Sheridan and one grandchild, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be tonight from 4 to 8 p.m. at Greenfield Baptist Church, Hammond, and the Rev. Jerry Hanible will conduct the funeral Thursday at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery.

N.A. James Funeral Home, Hammond, is in charge.

RUBY TRAYLOR

Ruby Traylor, 94, died Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at Belle Maison Nursing Home.

Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond.

LEONARD J. CALDWELL

PONCHATOULA -- Former Stafford Furniture store manager Leonard J. "Red" Caldwell, 84, died at his home Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004.

A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he retired from the Navy after 20 years of service.

He was a native of Ponchatoula and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Orris Wild Caldwell; two daughters, Jean Linton Brooks of Picayune, Miss., and Alice Caldwell Jones of Benton, Ark.; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alice Stilly Caldwell and George Lafayette Caldwell; one sister, Christine Robillard; and two brothers, George Jr. and Lawrence Caldwell.

His body was donated to the Louisiana State University Medical Center.

The family is accepting visitors at 39200 Everett Lane in Ponchatoula.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to North Oaks Hospice, 15790 Paul Vega Drive, Hammond, LA 70403.

JEAN LOUISE CRAWFORD

HARRIS, Texas -- Jean Louise Crawford, 87, died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004, at The Forum in Harris.

Visitation will be Saturday at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at Colonial Cemetery, Independence.

Burial will be at Colonial Cemetery.

MARY LOU PEELER FELLOWS

Mary Lou Peeler Fellows, 90, died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004, at her home.

A native of Lamesa, Texas , she was a registered nurse, a member of Grace Memorial Episcopal Church, a member of St. Margaret's Women's Guild, League of Women Voters, the Parkland Alumni Association and the American Nurses Association.

She was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II having served as an Army Air Corps nurse.

She is survived by one daughter, Dorothy Fellows Bartow of Hammond; three sons, Donald K. and James L. Fellows, both of Hammond and A. Rolland Fellows of Austin, Texas ; two sisters, Dorothy Peeler Hilton of Lubbock, Texas , and Audrey Peeler Corn of Baird, Texas ; and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald K. Fellows; her daughter, Donna Lou Fellows; her parents, Jacob Boone and Lula Viola Hayley Peeler; two brothers, James Virgil "Jeff" Peeler and Paul Lester "Mutt" Peeler; and two infant siblings, Boone Peeler and Anne Peeler.

Visitation will be Monday at Grace Memorial Episcopal Church, Hammond, from 8 a.m. until the Rev. Paul Bailey conducts the funeral at 10. Burial will be at Grace Memorial Episcopal Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Memorial Episcopal Church, North Oaks Hospice or Richard Murphy Hospice.

Geisler Funeral Home, Hammond, is in charge.
